A sales receipt

I visited this shop while I was on vacation in San Diego from Arizona. I bought one of the 4 pack samplers called the "San Diego Box" for my wife. Everything was fine, I brought the gift home three days later. I looked on my bank statement and noticed my card had been charged twice for the single transaction. My receipt only shows one box with a total of $34.99. I have tried calling them and left messages and nobody has called back, acknoledged, apologized or anything. I know it was PROBABLY just an oversight, but $70 is a ton of money for four tiny bottles. If they contact me and reverse the charge, I will gladly take down the review, but it stays until they do! I try not to think the worst of people, but can't help but wonder if she noticed I was not from California and disputing the charge will be difficult. Time will tell...

I loved this little store in the market! I just saw that they offered samples of a huge variety of oils and balsamic vinegars! These were aged and had such a depth of flavor I loved trying them all! The pricing was $9 for a 3.4oz bottle, $14.99 for a 6.76oz bottle, and $19.99 for a 12.7oz bottle. I bought two 3.4oz bottles of different balsamic vinegars, peach white balsamic and apricot balsamic. The staff were so friendly and also had some knowledge to share about the products! Love love love the vibe of the place too! It is so aesthetically pleasing! Posted many many photos of what everything looked like! Make sure to check in for an extra 15% off! Support this business! I know I'll be back on my next trip to San Diego!

Excellent products! We popped into Liberty Public Market and I couldn't help myself. I had to taste the different olive oils and vinegars. I did walk away with a lovely bottle of white balsamic and a delicious Eureka lemon infused olive oil.

First time trying a white balsamic. It was delicious. Seasonal Pumpkin spice white balsamic.

I really liked walking into this place, another gem in the Liberty Public Market in San Diego, Really liked the ability to taste both the extra virgin oils as well as the aged balsamic vinegars (including white vinegars). A while back, I had tasted a pomegranate dark balsamic vinegar somewhere. Cannot recall where but have never forgotten the experience. So much so that we bought a small bottle (it was pricey). And I have been searching for a place ever since. So imagine my delight. I did some tasting. There are numerous infused balsamics to taste. I settled for a bottle of the pomegranate dark balsamic vinegar. It is aged for 18 years and made from grapes in Modena, Italsy. A 375 ml bottle is $19.99. Grab one and you will ascend to another culinary planet.

Two "employees" who shouldn't even be employed

Went to the market on Saturday and was looking for some fig balsamic, and I noticed that there weren't any employees around. I went around the market to get something to eat thinking that maybe they'd come back by the time I was done ordering my food. When I got back, the girl and boy employees of B&O were at the Olala Crepes store by their POS and it looked like they were grabbing something under the monitor which looked strange because the crepes employees were busy making food, and the 2 had mischievous faces the whole time. As I was about to inform one of the crepe gals that they were behind the register, she turned around and was frustrated as she told the pair to stop entering their store. The immature employees ran away laughing, and I heard them talking negatively about the crepes gals. I've purchased products from here before, but it must've been when the owner was the only one there because I've never seen such phone-addicted, immature employees be in charge of a store like this before. Going to similar stores in Europe that sell said products, people take balsamic and oil very seriously as they're very expensive to make and sell, and all it takes is the foolishness of employees to tarnish the image/brand of a company.

Other than its sister store, Iowa Meat Farms, Tip Top Meats in Carlsbad (yes, they have returned), and the Wise Ox, also in Carlsbad, there are hardly any real butcher shops around. But these guys know what they are doing. Try their burgers and meatloaf. They are easy to cook at home. Try their steaks. You can get a legitimately excellent steak here for a fraction of what you would pay at a steakhouse and it will be BETTER than the steakhouse version. Make sure you ask the counter guys to season it for you before they wrap it up. Try their freshly-made sandwiches. Make sure you try their beans behind the deli counter. Their pimento dip in the refrigerated area is legendary and more addictive than crack (or so I have read). They have interesting sodas, craft beers, different mustards, El Indio chips, fresh breads, and a small but very well-curated wine selection. Is there anything they do not do well here? "No," is the answer to that question. They do everything well here. They have their own parking lot but it fills up quickly. There is not much other parking in the area. In the past, I have walked several blocks away in the residential neighborhood to get to the store when there is no parking available. And it was worth it.

I could put up with the snooty butchers, and the high prices, but when I asked to use the bathroom I was informed I could not because someone had "trashed it last week". I told the "manager" I'd spent a lot of money and she still said no. Plus, she was brusque and rude. Did I look like some low life that would do that? I was deeply offended. I got in my car and decided to not take "no" for an answer and went back in. Finally someone led me to an outside bathroom. Well, that did it for me. I get my meat online now, and it's better quality, waaaaay better. And their deli? Subway sandwiches are better, and that's not saying much. Well, I wish them luck, They're gonna need it.

Sitting is both inside and outside. We ordered several tacos, grilled sword fish, halibut, (2) yellow tail and shrimp. We also ordered a halibut sandwich. We sat in the patio outside. Beautiful outdoor sitting. We waited about 10-15min for our food. Wow their tacos were big!!!. The size of the fish were huge and they packed the shrimp on the taco as well. The fish and shrimp were grilled to perfection. It was moist and tender. The cabbage, red onion, tomato and sauce gave it a nice crunch in every bite. Adding a hot sauce elevated the flavors and it was hard to stop eating. The fish sandwich was also huge and grilled perfectly. My hubby could not stop raving how delicious it is. This meal was worth the wait! It is one of the best, freshest seafood I have had in awhile. It was just yummy and my favorite word, "amazingly delicious". As always we were stuffed!!! Will be back!!!
