Do yourself a favor: quit reading this review and get over here now. You will not be disappointed…read more Some of the best biscuits and fried chicken I've had in my life (and don't tell my mother in law who makes some pretty great biscuits and chicken). Great staff, artsy ambiance, and quirky neighborhood all make this worth the effort and cost. Bonus: fried green tomatoes were a definite hit. Breading was perfect and didn't fall off the tomatoes like most breading does. They have a Jam Bar so you can choose a variety of jellies and butter to put on them as well as house made hot sauce to dress everything. The only problem with this place- it's too far from my home in TX. :)

Despite the wait, we decided to indulge in breakfast, and the experience was well worth it. My wife opted for two eggs and sides, while i chose two eggs with fried bologna and pulled pork, both of which met expectations admirably. The standout feature was their in-house jam and spreads: a distinctly sour cherry and a perfectly balanced strawberry variety, neither overly sweet but perfectly suited to complement the biscuits. For anyone in the Asheville, Carolina vicinity, Biscuit Head is an essential stop. With four locations in this area and potentially extending to Greenville, it's a must-visit for those seeking exceptional breakfast fare. The Giddy Goat is an absolute standout local coffee spot in Charlotte…read more Hands down, this is the best nitro cold brew coffee I've ever had--so good that I ended up ordering a second one. You can actually watch the nitro percolating and settling in the glass when it's poured, which is such a treat. To go with the coffee, I ordered the breakfast burrito and a chocolate pastry. The burrito was delicious and generous in size, served with a salsa that brought a great kick without being overbearing. The chocolate pastry was fresh, flaky, and hit the spot. Service from the staff on the first floor was attentive and helpful, and the space has a solid energy to it. Parking is tight (the lot only holds a handful of cars), and while the noise level is moderate, it's nothing a good pair of headphones can't handle if you're looking to get some focus work done. Wish I were a local so I could make this a regular routine. 5 stars!

They offer a lot of drinks and food and have lots of seating. The outdoor area was beautiful and relaxing-ish (they can't help the cars driving by). I ordered a zucchini quiche and nitro coffee, my SO ordered drip, cortado, and empanadas (Patagonia, spinach, and breakfast). I thought the cortado was delicious. The drip was very weak and the nitro bitter. The quiche was just slightly over salted. I liked the spinach empanada, but found it heavy on the salt too. The Patagonia was pretty delicious and had great flavor. When I took a bite of the breakfast empanada, I couldn't name any of the ingredients in the filling. Overall, gave me the caffeine boost and sustenance I needed, but I probably wouldn't return.

The bowling games are fun and have different themes you can choose. There's also an option to set bowlers up with or without bumpers which is great if you're a family and the little ones need bumpers, but you'd rather not have them up for yourself. There is also food available and a full bar with servers who attend the lanes. The restrooms have always been clean during my visits. I haven't played in the arcade or done the laser tag yet. Cons: For some strange reason, the ball weights are only even numbers with the exception of 15 lbs. I don't understand this. The food is mostly bar style with no healthy options. The majority of meat is fried. There are a few salads, but outside of that, there's not much to work with if you're not looking to consume a ton of calories. Regular prices can be high. It is a very nice experience and atmosphere, but for a lot of family's, it isn't necessarily practical. Overall, good experience and friendly staff.

Most of the arcade machines were either broken or faulty, especially the card reader for cards won from specific games. Employee attitudes were beyond poor and prizes weren't worth the plastic the game cards were made from.

[Cont'd from Google Maps review due to length]…read more ABOVE ALL do not hold anyone there accountable for mistakes they might make, or ask why they did not return your msgs, and do NOT say ANYTHING that "Lily" doesn't like--they've got lots of other customers, and they don't have time. Patients who do what they tell them to do, blow smoke up their butts to stroke their egos, and don't ask questions are SO much easier for them, so THOSE folks are welcome apparently. If you're stressed, have work to do/NEED your back straightened, or if you're frustrated w/the UNBELIEVABLE CLUSTER-@#$% that is the VA referral process, keep that to yourself at all costs-you would not want to stress any of the staff there w/your problems anyway, right?? I really have to emphasize that (from my conversation w her) Lily impressed me as an insincere, condescending and self-important person who was full of her own power. I gleaned that when she told me she was the one who ran the place, and that others were kind of afraid of her (or something to that effect), which she said "jokingly" but apparently there's truth to it. My conversation w her (about two msgs I sent them that they never responded to, concerning back X-rays and problems filling out the Patient History etc forms they sent me-which they apparently did not receive, though my phone never told me my msgs were Not Delivered) left a very bad impression of her, but I bit my tongue bc I was trying to remain positive as I had an appt scheduled in a few days (and I'm a pretty nice guy in general, when people are straight with me). In short (though it's a little late for that, lol) I believe that Lily, who I did not like due to her overbearing, condescending attitude, complained to "Dr Dom" about me (bc I was holding them accountable and have standards), and due to that he "found" a reason to deny my referral and cancel my appointment, when they could have found SOME modality of treatment that would have helped me if they wanted to... inclu the *advertised* Decompression Table. Actually they found several reasons for denying care. When I took away their first excuse (foraminal stenosis) by agreeing to skip neck adjustments and just get a back adjustment, Dr Dom fell back on "the referral doesn't specify 'back' ". When I took away that excuse by offering to skip the referral and pay cash myself to get my back adjusted, he pivoted to his next excuse... "knowing about the referral, we probably shouldn't"--whatever the hell that means. Clearly he was bailing, I believe based on LILY because I had only positive and respectful interactions with Leah-in fact I thanked her and complemented her on how gentle, caring, and patient she was-bc I know I ask a lot of questions, and I appreciated her. Leah's friendly and caring demeanor is in STARK contrast to what I experienced from Lily, which I guess is why they don't have Lily answering the phone and talking to customers directly (unless absolutely necessary). I can't "prove" what was said behind the scenes, and I could be mistaken, but I ain't stupid, and at 64 I have a pretty good grasp on the games people play... and MOST chiropractors actually SEEK customers/income and want to help people... so I think there's more to the story than just 'concerns about my neck X-rays'. I realize the fact that I "talk too much" bc I'm highly intelligent (just saying), ask "too many questions", and keep people on their toes when they try to BS me and things don't add up is a threat to some people, so some businesses (and "doctors") don't like that. If you're willing to do what you're told, STFU when something doesn't seem right to you (or you feel blown off bc they're busy w the other 60-80 people that day), and if you do not ask difficult medical/health questions or dare to disagree w/them about anything in any way, they might be "willing" to work with you. I actually asked "Dr Dom" about whether my talking a lot, being a detail person (w/some anxiety) and asking lots of questions was a factor in his refusal to honor my referral, and he said, "Not at all... we deal with people like that all the time." Given all the data (incl his not being 'willing' to adjust my BACK even if I paid them CASH--completely unrelated to the referral), my conclusion is Lily's ego was "offended" that I stood up to her, and did not kiss her @ss as she's used to, so she said something that caused my appointment to be cancelled before I ever received a treatment from them. It actually makes sense if we accept at face value Lily's belief that she runs the place. After all if she's truly the Boss B there as she thinks she is, it's not surprising the "owner" would comply w/her orders. I had no interaction at all with the other chiropractor there, who sounds like a nice guy, so I have nothing bad to say about him... but based on my experience it appears Lily needs to get over herself. I would have respected 'Dom' more if he was straight w me, not hiding behind excuses.

The best chiropractor around. Dom is so knowledgeable. The office staff are awesome too!read more
