Wish I knew about this body shop before my daughter needed her car repaired. An elderly client closed her metal gates on my new Lexus. Thankfully It was cosmetic damage. The client recc I go to Baker. I wasnt sure if she was recc because it was cheap. I was worried about quality of the work as my car is white pearl. I asked 2 other clients who own luxury cars who they recc and they both recc Baker. After picking up my car, I now know why. Kristin was professional and courteous. She gave you the sense her shop can get this done right. Explained each cost and the time it would take to repair. My car was promised in 3 days and they delivered. Very happy with the work. From the first day I met Kristin and from the day I pulled out the lot with my car, I could sense she valued my business. I have no reservations recc this auto body shop to anyone. On a side note, I had to rent a car. On suggestion by Ron her brother, I reserved my car and with Enterprise. Visited a half a dozen paint shops to paint a used camper top that was very faded and scratched for our blue 2003 Ford Ranger. They took the job on with no hesitation very kind, friendly and calm they matched my truck paint perfectly they spent allot of time to match it cuz of the custom paint but wow they did it perfect. Our truck has very sentimental value it belonged to my awesome father in-law who passed in 2007 so it was really important for my wife to see the job done well. Cost was competitive but life time warranty on the paint they also buffed out scratches on the truck for practically nothing. Always communicated about the status. My front bumper and fenders had become loose. The bumper is low and sometimes catches on parking spaces stops. Sometimes there is a dip in the road that loosens the bumper. I received three estimates on the cost to reattach the fenders. Baker Paint & Body Shop gave me the best options to reattach the fenders. The shop was able to complete the job within one hour. The right rear bumper had a small chip that removed some of the paint. The shop was able to match the paint and repainted the chip area in less than one hour. I'm talkn real old school "multi family generation" shops and ya get that feeling right when ya get down and meet Ron -he'll shoot ya straight because he knows the "quality work", guarantees a steady line of repeat customers that come back. I got rear-ended on the freeway a couple of weeks ago. I've been here once before when I got side swiped by a hit and run driver. They do a really good job and are very thorough. These people are insane! Three years ago I needed a dent repaired & I was quoted $2300 by this shop, but went to a shop in LA & paid $700 - the place I ended up going to do a phenomenal job. Today my boyfriend went in to Baker's for a quote for damage he has and was quoted over $2800 and was told he needs his door replaced. What!! He got another quote at a nearby shop (that also has great yelp reviews) & was quoted at $590 and told HAHA NO you don't need your door replaced. Wtf?! These guys are nuts!!! read more

I had a great experience here just last weekend. My car was rear-ended a while back and I decided to finally get it fixed. I chose Baker because it was the body shop with the most positive ratings in Pasadena that also was "in network" for the insurance company of the guy who rear-ended me. They re-did the bumper in 3 working days, it looks perfect, and they handled all the insurance stuff seamlessly. The staff was very friendly. It is a third generation family owned business. I met the owner (he is recently retired and just filling in for the week) and a couple other family members. He showed me around and told me about the history and pointed to his employees and explained how it is basically a family. Very friendly, very professional, and they did a great job. I hopefully will never return (who wants to require the services of a body shop?) but I would recommend it, based on my experience, to anyone. read more

I'm so happy I came to have work done on my car here- the results far exceeded my expectations. I came in to have my headlight housing replaced and a very large dent in my bumper fixed up. They suggested I polish my other headlight since it had gotten worn and foggy. I glad I took their suggestion. The headlights look great- the old polished one looks like like the new one and my front lights are much brighter now, so it feels safer. The dent on my front bumper was large and hung so low I was having clearance issues. I just wanted it to scrape less and didn't want to buy a new bumper. They said they'd try to bend it so it would be less of a problem. When I came back to get my car I had to look closely to see that it was the old bumper. It looks brand new! The totally got that huge dent out and it looks perfect. I'm so thrilled! I got quite a few quotes for the work on my car before going with Baker and their prices were more than fair. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, got the work done quickly, were easy to work with and didn't pressure me to do more work on the car than I was interested in doing. I got estimates from 5 shops in the area before settling on Baker to do the work on my truck. It's pretty new and this was the first major damage, so I wanted a place that would do good work with the right approach. I didn't just want some dude with bondo and a sprayer to do it. I disregarded the lowest two estimates. Baker was below the top two estimates by a few hundred bucks, and after talking the work over with Ron Jr, I got the best feeling for him and his shop. In the end, I paid less than his estimate, he did it in less time than he estimated--even with some small additions I threw in at the end (buffing and side mirror from a desert trip) and he even detailed my truck inside and out. I was recommended to this Auto Shop by a good friend of mine who was telling me about the awesome service she received here. I had gotten into an accident and needed a second opinion about some work that my 1992 Toyota Truck needed. I was desperate for a much better estimate and treatment than what I had received at B & K down the road from Baker auto shop. When I took the car in, Ron went through with me part by part what he expected needed replacement/fixing and what we could probably do without since I only wanted the car up and running again. The amount of transparency and honesty that I received from him was very reassuring given that I know little about fixing cars- having him explain everything in detail about what needed to be fixed and why was such a blessing. His original estimate was lower than the final price but that is to be expected when fixing cars as things can come up as you are pulling things apart and finding things out. However, he made sure to call me first to ask whether or not I was okay with him doing some repairs that could have gone many directions (and therefore many different price points). Overall, the transparency, honesty, and work that I received from Baker Paint & Body has made this repair process so much easier and reassuring. Well, I have four cars, two teenage kids, and there are at least a few idiot drivers out there. I'm also picky about how my cars look. I've used other shops --Holmes Body Shop and others -- once or twice (good work), but I'm happiest with Baker. Their work is first rate, always done flawlessly and on time. They're small enough that you deal with the same person each time, unlike the big guys. Their prices are no higher than anywhere else. They work with my insurance company without problem. I haven't had to have any bodywork or paint done for years, so finding a reputable place to go was difficult. Especially since I was paying out of pocket. I actually found Baker while driving to get an estimate at another body shop. I already had three places in Pasadena picked out, but boy am I glad I stopped here, too. Ron is a man of few words which is good in this case. He put an estimate together within 15 mins, which all other three places had trouble doing, and wasn't pushy or overly sales-ey on extra work. One estimate was 50% more and another 50% less for apples-to-apples work. Another estimate was almost the same, but I just didn't get a good feeling from the owner. At the end of the day Baker has been in business for decades and so I put my trust in them. The whole process was painless, from dropping the car off to picking it up.
