Great spot that's been on LBI for a long time. Solid bar food, fully stocked bar with a variety of beers, and a great friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop-in for a low-key bar vibe.

Really homey place to catch a game. Food was good and reasonably priced, which is hard to find on the island. Not a lot of seafood, more pub-type food.

Best dive bar we could find during off season. Great drink deals. Cash only. Fried mac and cheese bites were INCREDIBLE. Went back and got them a second time.

The best local "dive" bar with great food, great service and cheap drinks!! The spicy green beans are a must order!

Great patio area. Dog friendly. Great staff. Had some cold beers and snacks (chicken fingers, fries, etc) on a lovely afternoon.

Stopped in while passing it not realizing how hungry we were. First time inside after passing it thousands of times. WOW, if walls could talk. I felt like a kid again before LBI became the LBI it is Post Sandy... I can imagine all the Baymen of yesterday belly-ing up to the bar and drinking away their nights. Although the inside isn't all loungy and tapas like, it doesn't want to be, nor NEED to be. It's EXTREMELY clean inside and nostalgic. We will be back for sure. My wife and I started with shrimp poppers which were awesome and we both had their 'famous' roast beef which was piled high on a VERY soft kaiser roll with awesome pickled (?????) red and green sweet peppers which added an amazing compliment to the sandwich. GREAT STOP!!!!

Don't even bother getting the menu, unless you are undecided about sides. GET THE ROAST BEEF SANDWICH. Once you do, you'll be hooked and have to stop in every time you're on LBI. This is a "locals" bar, but they are courteous to us summer visitors. I was hangry and needed something before the traditional Bay Village shopping trip. The tender juicy roast beef sandwich on a perfect hard roll comes with au jus to dip. You can get cheese too (I did provolone). We also shared a basket of fries that came out piping hot. Dipped the fries in the au jus too! You won't be disappointed with this sandwich. Sorry, was so anxious to eat, I didn't take a photo....next time.

The food was ok but the service was ridiculously slow. We waited 45 minutes to get literally just 5 sandwiches.

We started with oysters..fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled and the tuna tartare stacked over creamy avocado with crisp taro chips, which was a standout. My lobster pasta was rich and flavorful, though the noodles were a bit more al dente than I usually prefer. My date went for the short rib, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender over a smooth carrot purée. Everything was beautifully presented and clearly made with care. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, service, and overall experience make it worth it. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, Salt is a great pick for a nice night out on LBI especially if you want elevated seafood and a setting that feels special.

This, for sure, has to be the single best meal we have ever had on Long Beach Island. When we…read morearrived, we were seated promptly and were given a large table to accommodate our party of seven. Ben came straight over and introduced himself and told us some of the specials and allowed some time to peruse the menu. We knew that we had to get the children their food first for us to enjoy our meals and we ordered pasta and flounder for the girls and a cheeseburger and fries for the little boy. It's hard to imagine that a restaurant can be very classy while being at the beach and a very casual atmosphere but people were mixed in their dress with those of us who were more casual, but somewhat dressy and others who got dressed to the nines to enjoy their meal out with friends or family. We decided on the advice of Ben to get some duck confit and also some tang tang shrimp and also Nice chopped salad which was fresh and crisp and also some tacos and then we were off to the races with our entrées. We all decided to choose something different and give a little bite to each of the members of our adult party. While I had seared sea scallops my buddy had salmon. My wife chose a salad with some grilled shrimp And my buddies wife decided to have a plate of muscles that she enjoyed immensely. The staff was fantastic in that they took away dirty plates and replaced them with new ones and made sure that the kids had everything that they needed for us to enjoy a quiet and adult conversational meal. Compared to Long Island, NY the prices were really very fair and the quality of the food was very very good. My scallops were excellent and the other plates that I tried all were cooked perfectly. I want to give a special shout out to Ben, our server, for being very friendly and his demeanor while explaining the menu and offering suggestions. I really do look forward to our next trip back
