4-29-2020 This location needs to be retrained. I ordered veggie chili fries with no cheese as I'm allergic to dairy. I also ordered a medium sweat tea. I get to the second window and the young lady with horn-rimed glasses hands a small Diet Coke and says thank you byeeeeeee. She opens the window and asks can I help you. I told her I was waiting for my veggie chili fries and the sweet tea. She tells me I didn't order chili fries and I hand her my receipt and she checks with her co-worker to confirm my order. She then hands me a small sweet tea and I told her I ordered a medium. She then hands me a third drink and my veggie chili fries. I get home to find cheese after asking for no cheese. Mind you it's not busy. I get back in my car and head back to re-order my food and again explaining my food allergy. Get to the first window and the gentleman apologized and said pull up to the second window where the same you g lady in the glasses asked what did I order. I informed the team a second time of my food allergy and she handed my food and again said, byeeeeeeeeeee. This location really needs to pay attention to customers who inform them of any/all food allergies. read more

After driving long hours and craving a great burger, we were VERY disappointed. My husband is a truck driver and very frequently misses hot meals due to limited parking space in restaurants as it is already. Due to COVID things have gotten even worse for them. Bakers has always been a reliable stop for us. We have been loyal customers and understand the COVID situation. We are not from this area but are always willing to drive a few hours more to eat Bakers. A lot of fast food restaurants only allow 4 customers at a time to be inside while ordering. Perhaps you should consider the fact that it's already difficult for drivers to get a decent meal. You are loosing customers simply because you won't try other options. Very disappointed right with your service towards essential workers. :( read more

When I lived in southern California and I traveled out to the Inland Empire, I was always a fan of Baker's. Kinda like a variation of Del Taco (very similar menu's). Tacos are good (VERY greasy, though), fries are tasty and their burgers have a strange resemblance to In n Out's (just not as good). Not much more to say. read more

This location always takes forever regardless what you're ordering. Only car in drive thru and it took 12 minutes for two tacos and fries. That's not including the three minutes I waited at the menu waiting to order. Then another thing every other Bakers I've been to let's you substitute for chicken on the Nachos instead of ground beef for an additional charge. But this one doesn't do that. They'll argue with you and let you order the chicken on the side but not actually on the not so big Nachos. read more

Bakers has always been one of my favorite Hispanic/Mexican American fast food joints. You really can't find a good hardshell taco without driving far away somewhere to a really good spot bakers definitely has some of the best hardshell tacos in the game. Aside from that I've concluded it's almost slightly hard to be able to distinguish an in N out burger and a bakers burger they're both pretty damn good and obviously real meat. I guess what really wanted me to give him that extra fourth staraside from the first couple stars being that the food is pretty damn good and it's pretty reasonable priced, The drive through menu so vivid it's like they actually took pictures of the real food and it looks pretty real and pretty wholesome pretty much made from scratch handmade you'll see in the photos just my Opinion . Altogether Bakersville always be one of my favorite spots and the new drive through menu got me so that's why I chose to give this one the four stars today. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Baker's in my over 20 years of eating there until today at this location and I am so upset! We got to the drive thru at around 12:20am. I understand what it's like to have someone come to my job when you're less than an hour from closing but that's why you're there, it's your job. I could already tell that the lady over the intercom had an attitude when I got there. She was very short and had not an ounce of cheer in her voice, a clear sign she was ready to leave. We had a fairly big order and she rushed me through every single moment of it. When we reached the window, you could see the lady with a clear grimace to her face while entering the remainder of our order on the screen. The other worker took our card and said it was declined and immediately shit the window. (RUDE) There was a block on the card so we needed to call Chase to lift it. The second I mentioned that to him, he looked over at the lady and he told us that they would not be able to swipe the card again because once it's declined they are unable to slide it again. (REALLY?! ) I inquired about that, asking if that was a policy or not and she (LISA MARIE) very rudely said there was nothing she could do and CLOSED THE WINDOW IN MY FACE. Are you kidding me?! Not only did she close the window, she walked away! I honked and the male worker walked towards to open the window and Lisa Marie told him not to and she preceded to come back and open the window. I explained to her how rude she had been through the whole transaction and she said "I'm sorry you feel that way but I don't think I was". Well news flash, Lisa Marie, you are beyond rude and I felt super disrespected. I WILL NEVER come to this Baker's again (even though it's the closest to my house) especially if any of the other workers are as rude and belittling as these ones are. 12/1 at 617pm. Ordered a papa with two tacos and fries. Asked the manager how is there coffee? With a rude attitude he replies, "I don't drink coffee." So, I thought, Ok so maybe he's having a real bad night. So, I'm waiting, I see two tacos laying on the counter getting cold. Five minutes pass and I ask what are you waiting on, he said your fries. I told him I hope your making new tacos and not giving me those cold ones? He replied with attitude again, Yeah, what do you want me to do? Been here a couple times and its a nice clean place. Their manager is funny and really cool.

Currently at this location, people were very rude as soon as we walked in did not greet us. My niece ordered ahead of me and the skinny tall white guy with a big nose just walked away after taking her order and didn't even tell me to wait or that he would be right with me. He just walked away. Another girl asked him "want me to take her order?" So rude. We ordered at the same time and they took about 10 minutes longer for my order. I had to walk up to get my order and all the other customers orders were being brought to their tables while we had to grab ours from the counter. P.s they also greeted everyone else as they walked in. This service is terrible will never come to this location again just a bunch of young stuck up little girls. read more

I've gone to this location quite often since my work is just down the street as it's usually pretty good service and good food. Unfortunately the last few times I've gone this past week or two it has totally changed for the worse. The GM doesn't know how to run a store, all I've ever seen her do is stand over where they make shakes, by the trays talking shit about another employee or bumping a poor little girl out of the way saying she's too slow even though I've always seen her by herself and have never had a problem with the speed of service when I've ordered a Mexican item. I am definitely done with this location as of Friday, the GM, once again is talking shit about the same employee saying she's going to get fired or demoted when she comes in because 'she has no respect and isn't suited to be a lead and I'm not dealing with her' but the only problem at this store I see is the GM thinking she can talk to anyone, employee or customer, however she wants but get on the phone and lie to her supervisor when the people defend themselves. Order was incorrect and we waited over 7 minutes at the drive thru yet... we were the only customers there. No communication, no apology, nor urgency to get the order out. Besides the order being incorrect the drink was given to us last and wrong. Drove over 5 miles for incorrect order and bad service. Cant get a hold of the restaurant to talk to anyone about the order so we went back to talk to manager Amanda for a refund or to get the order corrected but we were hassled about redoing the order or just getting the drink replaced. We were told we could just call the customer service line yet they were not available only their answering service. Not only was it not handled properly was very unprofessional I think a call to osha for inspections and the Better Business Bureau is well underway. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would! I usually try to stay away from negative reviews but I just had to post something about this to warn everyone else. I went to this Baker's location near the hospital where I just started working at and the service was horrible! I went in on my lunch break and spent almost all of my break waiting for my food. By the time I got my food I didn't have time to eat it and had to go back to work. I understand this is fast food place and you get what you pay for but the amount of time I waited was ridiculous. The workers in the back looked like they were really busy because they had a lot of orders on their screen from what I could see. There was a worker sitting in the dining room eating, I'm assuming she was on her break. There was an older lady sitting next to her, looked like maybe the manager or something based on her uniform. The manager may have been on break as well and that could have been why she was not helping the other workers. I don't have a problem with workers taking their breaks because I was doing the same. Another reason I will never return to this place is because while I was waiting for my food I could hear the person who I am assuming is the manager showing a video about a man cussing and supporting Donald Trump. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions however she was making so many racist comments such as "This is America, they need to learn English" and "I can't wait until they build that wall". Again that may be her opinion but as a Mexican American I find it completely offensive. The young Mexican worker who she was showing the video was getting upset about it and they started to argue a little bit. When she noticed I was looking she said "oh we are just having a friendly debate. She thinks she is right but she's not." I wanted to go off on this lady because of all the things she was saying. She even claimed to be Mexican yet she was saying these things especially in front of customers. I believe I even heard her say racist comments about some of the workers there. As outraged as I was, I didn't say anything to her. However, I will say this, I am a legal citizen who was born in this country. I am Mexican and am nothing as she described. I am proud to be Mexican and have everything I do because I worked so hard for it. I can't believe Bakers hires people like this and even has them as managers. These are the type of people who want &15/hr? She probably doesn't even deserve what she gets paid right now! I can't change what she said or how she feels but I will no longer give them business. I only stopped by here on my way home from Arrowhead Regional Medical Center since nothing else was open at the time. Honestly I expected worse. But it was pretty good! Its definitely fast food though, you aren't going to get any better than that. I ordered a special that they had, which was a single patty Baker burger, one crunchy taco, fries and a large drink. The fries taste like McDonald's fries but a little less crunchy. The crunchy taco was just a crunchy taco. Lol, with ground meat, nothing special. But it totally brought me back to high school cafeteria food! It literally tasted just like a taco I ate in high school. The Baker burger was really good! It has its own taste, just like McDonald's burgers have its own taste and In and Out does. Last but not least, what makes this place extra special is that they have their own special sauces. The habanero ketchup was bomb. So was their hot sauce which is not spicy at all. The lady that helped us was awesome. I wish that was how everyone that works at restaurants should be. I have been going to bakers for over 20 years. I stopped going for a while when I started to eat healthier, but sometimes I still want my quesadilla fix and I love those fries! I went the other day and got the quesadilla and there was hardly any cheese, the tortilla was all hard and on top of that the cheese want even melted all the way! The quality of the quesadilla has gone down in the past 10 years. Now on to the fries! Cold, burnt, greasy... They must have been sitting under the heat lamp for an hour. I also tried the Barbacoa taco...greasy, undercooked meat. The meat is so great the taco fell apart when I took it out of the foil, and I eat in the parking lot so i didn't travel anywhere. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because I absolutely love the hot sauce and the girl gave me enough. Oh I forgot to mention how defeating the Carmel iced coffee was. Bakers has really been letting me down. It makes me sad. read more
