Their bagels were really good. Probably my fave bagel place. Something was going on with their espresso machine at that time but the barista was really nice and I didn't mind waiting. It was really nice and airy , clean tables.

Wow! Love! This is going to be a new fav. The inside is very cute and modern and open. Loved the bagel-themed art, updated and clean bathrooms, coffee bar area and the self-order kiosks. Coffee is from Three Ships - we arrived around 1pm and they were out of the Nitro cold brew and several other kinds of coffee... hmmm. We went with two bagel sandwiches and and a smoothie and all were very good. -Strawberry, Banana, & Oat Smoothie - very good flavor, fresh and filling -Carnegie Pastrami - pumpernickel bagel - toasted and we "Reubened it" and subbed Cole slaw and Russian dressing and it was delicious! -Egg-sactly Right with a wheat everything toasted bagel The bagel sandwiches were HUGE. Giant portions so the prices are fair at about $9-15 depending on the toppings. We each only ate half and saved the rest for later. There is a deli area with some baked goods, chips, pasta salad, pickles, etc. to grab and take. The bagels themselves are exceedingly fair price (like $3 or so) and the schmears were also fair price. We loved the bagels we tried: wheat everything and pumpernickle. Noms. They have free wifi and had about 5 cute patio tables to sit outside if you'd like. I liked everything about this place and plan to bring friends here for lunch whenever I can or come telework here and have a coffee and lunch just to get out of the house. Location inside the Hilltop shopping center isn't bad bc I always love to come here and walk around and shop.

Stopped by Baker's Crust Bagel a few weeks ago to grab some breakfast. My favorite bagel is anything with lox or smoked salmon so as we stood at the kiosk to order, I decided on the Signature Favorite bagel which included lox, plain cream cheese, tomato and onion. As we waited, I couldn't help but notice how bright and beautifully decorated the place was. The dining area had ample seating but it did get pretty crowded on a Saturday morning. They also had an array of items for purchase such as pickles, cream cheeses, cheesecakes and an assortment of salad items along with soups from Soup Love. It took about 15 mins for our bagels to be ready and even though I enjoyed it, they added just a tad too much cream cheese for my liking. I feel like I scraped off enough to add to a whole other bagel lol. Other than that, the service was great and I'd definitely return.

After going months without a bagel fix, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. The interior is more modern, but it's very clean and has good music playing. But let's be honest--I wasn't here for the ambiance, I was here for a bagel... and a GOOD bagel is what we got!! We both ordered the pastrami paradise, one on an everything bagel and one on a pumpernickel. First of all, they do NOT skimp on the pastrami--truly a paradise on that sandwich!! There was also so much swiss that I thought the cheese was the wrapper haha. The pastrami was amazing, the mustard and swiss were melted and warm, and the egg was fluffy. The pumpernickel bagel was so good too--crunchy and a beautiful crust. This is now our new bagel spot. Also! Three ships has a coffee shop there, sweet/quick service and delicious coffee. Give this place a try!!

Ess-a-bagel is my go-to bagel shop in NYC, so finding out it was here in Virginia Beach was very exciting! I got my usual, plain with scallion cream cheese, and it was just as wonderful as if I were in the city--minus the long lines out the door. The service is either self serve at the kiosk or at the register. We came at noon and it was mostly empty, the space itself is very bright and modern. Will definitely return!

I've lived here for almost 11 years and I have not been able to find a bagel close enough that tastes like home. I've been hearing great things about Baker's Crust Bagel for a bit since they opened, and have heard how it tastes like an authentic New York bagel so I had to give them a try. When you walk in, there's cute bagel art and photos of the NY Skyline (which i love to see). The spot itself is super spacious. They have plenty of tables if you are sticking around to enjoy your breakfast, or a pick-up area if you chose to order ahead. You're greeted by big tablets where you order your food and drink from. They have everything from breakfast sandwiches, to acai bowls and a coffee bar. I ordered an everything bagel lightly toasted with plain cream cheese and an iced latte with vanilla syrup and almond milk. It took about 5 minutes for them to make, with a large crowd in front of me, so no complaints! With New York bagels being 10/10, I'd rate this spot a 8/10. Definitely the closest I've had to a NY bagel and I now know where I'll be coming when I'm in the mood for one! The coffee was also super tasty. They had a ton of different speciality flavors, but I always pick my go-to. I look forward to coming back and trying something new!

We've now visited three times and have had great experiences every time. One visit we dined in and the other two were takeout. Their pastrami is next level. Incredible. I don't think I'll ever be able to come here again without getting it. It's sliced fresh to order, served thick, warm and nicely fatty. Just get it. Also loved the lox bagel. I got mine open-faced and added capers. If you're gluten free, this is the place to go. A few GF bagel options and a separate toaster! We also loved the NYC Hot Chocolate and the maple bacon cream cheese. The few things that didn't quite hit the amazing mark for us was really just the açaí bowl. They do bagels and they do them well - stick with those!

Pastrami and egg. Pastrami was fresh cut right in front of me!

it's hard to find quality bagels outside of New York but this is a close local favorite!! quality thick bagels and friendly service. my first time trying pastrami, they had some freshly made and cut right in front of me! and it's amazing here!! I accidentally gave them the wrong order (my own mistake) and they were SO quick to offer me a replacement bagel which was outside the realm of their service. 10/10 would recommend, delicious!

Great location, the vibe is amazing!!! There is plenty of room for parking out front and it's in the shopping center on the other side of Bakers Crust. When you come in, it feels like you are kind of "forced" to order through the provided kiosks but they offer in person ordering in the coffee bar in the back (Yeah!!! They have an independent coffee bar!). I ordered a Whole Wheat Everything Bagel with Avocado and Roasted Garlic spread and my wife got a sandwich. It was $6 for the bagel and schmear and $14 for the sandwich. Feels a little steep, but the area is that kind. Overall, wasn't SUPER impressed with the Avocado and Roasted Garlic spread, had the hue of avocado, but the garlic was very understated. The bagel itself was great, and my wife DESTROYED her sandwich. I gave it 4 stars-because I will have to try it again.

I visited Baker's Crust Bagel when I heard they have Ess A Bagels from Ny! I was so excited and was not disappointed. Im not a huge fan of having to order at an iPad over a person at the register which I will lean towards doing the next time I go. I got a pumpernickel everything bagel with egg salad and their pasta salad on the side. I loved my whole meal. I liked the pasta salad but I think it should more clearly say that there is ham in it cause that was a bit of a surprise. I ate at the restaurant and found it to be pretty relaxing and chill. The people who made my food were friendly and were great at accommodating for the 2 gluten free bagels I brought home to my sister. I'll be coming back!

    Cinnamon roll, omelet, and bacon.

The "baked fresh each day" cinnamon roll was stale. It was hard, could not cut into it. The toast was stale, cold bacon, and the biscuit was hard and old. It was like a hotel continental breakfast. Very disappointed. Told our server about the old $10 cinnamon roll and I asked him to tell someone and heard nothing back.

RAW plain bagel - so disappointed
    Jill M.

Bought 2 plain bagels, 2 poppy seed bagels, a tub of plain and a tub of maple bacon cream cheese to go this morning. Prices were on par with other bagel shops, the maple bacon cream cheese was 10 stars!! But, after getting home my 2 plain bagels were raw on the side, so I tossed them - So disappointed!

I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I originally wanted it on an Everything bagel, but since they were out, I went with a Garlic bagel instead. Even though it was a tad bit crowded, my sandwich was ready in about 5 mins. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

My husband and a friend came here on a Thursday morning to order 6 items and they were gone for almost an hour (it was a 10 minute drive from where we stayed). They come back with a bag of "bagels" (if that's what you want to call them) drenched in ketchup. Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.

I already knew this was my destination as I had been following them since they opened in VB. Upon our arrival we found the Cafe about a 1/4th of the way full so I had hopes for breakfast in a quiet setting. Even though there was a steady flow of traffic, we were able to dine in a relaxed setting without feeling rushed. I mention this because with it being a holiday weekend full of Jeepers, I fully expected them to be packed. The wait to order was too long as it left me staring at the pastry window so long I almost ordered one of everything however; I refrained from doing so but still bought 4 pastries, French toast & seasoned potatoes. Yes yes, alot of food for 1 person but I still had 2 days left in my visit and well, I have a thing for pastries. The pastries were: mango & passion fruit eclair, a pineapple muffin, lemon raspberry cake & profiteroles. I loved everything with the exception of the eclair. It wasn't anything against the eclair, it's just the mango/passionfruit mixture was just too passionate for my tastes. The muffin reminded me of my own homemade upside pineapple cake without all the brown sugar. It was light and buttery. The Lemon raspberry slice was delightful & not the least bit tart or too sweet. A mixture of both flavors without either one overpowering the other. The cake was super moist, perfect. The profiteroles were my favorite. They reminded me of that feeling I had the 1st time I tasted them while living in Italy. The choux perfectly baked and so delightfully light. The French toast was good enough without the side of syrup. The star for me of the breakfast items were the potatoes. I LOVED them. They were served HOT, seasoned just right with their insides softer that a baby bottom. I coulda just ordered 2 servings of those & bypassed the toast. All in all, well worth the wait. The folks were friendly, the Cafe clean and the seating plentiful and comfortable. I would recommend this place for both pastries & French toast & spuds.
