Chilaquiles

I'm at 3.5 stars. This is my first time visiting after years of having it on our try list. Drinks and coffee were great, as were service and cleanliness. We sat outside on the back patio because the inside was slammed! The biscuits and chorizo gravy were okay, the Chilaquiles looked terrific in many other reviews with a balance of crunch and soft; however, today must have been an off day it was straight soggy. I'll give them another shot but will try some other choices!

Have been wanting to try The Pink Dinghy for awhile and man this place did NOT disappoint! I wish I took more pictures, but it's this cute little place (emphasis on little) right next to Three Ships Coffee. There's outdoor patio seating as well as indoor seating (literally looks like the inside of a dining room). You literally can't miss this place, it's the pinkest building out there! I only got the chilaquiles (the strawberry matcha lemonade was my friend's). Never had chilaquiles before but it was nothing short of amazing. The chips were soaked in salsa (but still crunchy!!!) so the flavor was great. A little spicy (I forgot to say no jalapeños because my tolerance is low). It typically comes with an egg but I ordered mine without one. This dish was perfectly balanced with the picked onions and the sauce! I loved everything about this dish. My only caveat is that if you're a slow eater (like me), the chips eventually do get soggy due to the juices and sauce. My server was great! I ate there on a Sunday morning right when they opened, thank goodness I made a reservation bc they were PACKED. Make sure you make a reservation (however you'll get charged a $25 fee per person for no shows). All in all this place was wonderful and I cannot wait to try it again. They also serve dinner! Did not realize this. Definitely want to try the dinner next time

Made reservations for two, and we were sat immediately upon arrival. I ordered the staff recommendations and was very pleased. The food was quick and it tasted even better than it looked. You can tell they take pride in the presentation of their entrees. Overall, the atmosphere was very pink and inviting. This is my new favorite brunch spot in the Virginia Beach area!

The Pink Dinghy 7/10 - Got the French toast which was just ok nothing special, definitely overpriced - My dad got the Shrimp and Grits which he said was great - The place is known for their donuts so I got some they were definitely great and had various flavors which are weekly - The place is really small, we had to sit outside luckily it didn't rain at that hour - service was great though overall

Wish there is a 4.5 overall rating; because I'd say for everything that went right: ambiance, service and menu variety and freshness of ingredients are all hands down rated 5 stars. The only small detail that wasn't a perfect 5 was the chilaquile. The crispy portion of the tortilla was perfect, it provided the crunch that was great but the rest of the tortilla that had the refried beans was soggy. The pickled red onions and jalapeños were a great touch although with all the sauce, it was a tad too tart for my taste. Overall highly recommended to try all other items - I was kind of sad they ran out of grits so I didn't try what would have been my first choice for brunch!

Super small inside, recommend a reservation and having a small party. Menu is small but everything tasted great. Close to the dome if you are going to an event there.

Biscuit sandwiches are HUGE. Chicken biscuit was everything. Donuts are fresh on the weekends. Drink are well made. Service is sweet. Decor is retro.

I've been here for breakfast, donut run, and dinner. The food is worth the price. This place is small and elegant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is small, but the flavor of all their items is fantastic. The plates are shareable since it is family style. I think two items per person is plenty. I got the marinated mussel and let me tell you that the focaccia is soft yet crunchy and the mussels are citrusy and the aïoli is chef's kiss. Once you put it all together, it really is flavorful. I also got the fish baos. The fish was crunchy, and the slaw was fresh. They added a bit of honey which really brought all the flavors together. The coffee doughnut is a must on the weekend. It's unique. The Chilaquiles are not traditional, but the way that they make it here is definitely a must try and it's priced very well. And still popular for breakfast.

I want to start by saying that I've only ever visited The Pink Dinghy for brunch although I do intend to try their dinner service at some point in the near future. My husband and I are real fans of this place. Not only is the location perfect, especially in the summer on market days, but it's also very quaint and charming with lots of character. It's one of those places where there's always something cute or interesting to look at. I absolutely LOVE their cold brew iced coffee. I don't know what it is -- but I'd visit them just for that. Bad Ass who? For brunch, my husband and I usually order the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Cuban and share both. It's the perfect amount of food in my opinion. I find the portions to be of value and even slightly on the larger side. The hash tots are good, but sometimes they're a bit much for what I am in the mood for, so we tend to stick to their crispy fries. My mother in law has also had the Shrimp and Grits and the Chilaquiles which she raved about! The cocktails are also fantastic and picture worthy. Pro tip: Don't forget to ask for the freshly made doughnut menu as soon as you arrive. If you wait until the end, they will likely be sold out of all or most of the flavors. All in all, I would recommend The Pink Dinghy for brunch. We always have great service and enjoy dining both inside and on the patio. I look forward to paying them another visit in the near future!

Wow! The aesthetic, the vibe, the food, the service, the parking, and how walkable the area is! The Pink Dinghy is a solid 5/5. The food is fresh and has such a creative touch.

Ambiance is amazing. Cute small clean fun - every dish, utensil feels curated. I can't explain it but even the staff seemed to fit the vibe. Went for breakfast - a simple sweet menu. The hash browns & biscuits are top tier. Cold brew and drip coffee, orange juice, & brunch cocktails available. People were coming in to the small counter for donuts, which we tried post-meal.

Loved my experience here! Such a charming and intimate spot. Seating is limited, so I recommend getting there soon after they open. Service was quick and attentive. I sat outside and ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the French toast-both were delicious! The pickled onion on the chicken was a perfect touch. And that donut? So fluffy and fresh. Highly recommend!

SO GOOD! Wish I got pictures of my food, but the chicken sandwich was seriously incredible, best I've had. So much flavor, great portions. I had wonderful service, the vibes were immaculate. So cute and coastal with a very retro, but classy feel! Highly recommend!

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made for a wonderful dining experience. I decided to try several items from the **Seasonal Chef Recommendations** menu, and every course was excellent. I started with the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, followed by the Shanghai Braised Short Ribs, which were incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I finished the meal with the S'mores dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending. During my wine tasting, I discovered the Vin Velouté. It was so good that I couldn't leave without taking a bottle home! I was also thrilled to learn that the Watermelon Paloma wine has returned--and even better, it's now a permanent addition to the wine lineup instead of just a seasonal favorite. That was exciting news! This visit truly reminded me why I've enjoyed coming to Cooper's Hawk over the years. Great food, outstanding service, an enjoyable wine tasting, and a wonderful overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I had Gnocchi with Roasted Butternut Squash, Wild mushrooms, Sweet onion cream, Spinach, Feta and Crispy onions. It was a very tasty meal. My Great Niece chose the Pork chop and said it was the best she had ever had. My Niece had a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad which she said was delicious. It has quickly become our favorite place to relax, enjoy great company, and discover new wines. We also hosted a private event here, and Mary and her team went above and beyond to make it special. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and our guests had a wonderful experience. Most recently, we returned from Tinto's wine tour in Italy, and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. The trip was beautifully organized, and we felt cared for every step of the way. It was an unforgettable experience filled with incredible wine, amazing people, and memories we'll cherish forever. I brought a party of 5 to finally partake in the culinary excellence that Eurasia has to offer. As a collective we ordered- STEAK N EGGS w/ no egg : such depth in all aspects of every bite. The polenta and steak were cooked with absolute precision. PEANUT CHICKEN WINGS : probably my absolute favorite of the entire spread. The tartness of the peanut butter was a very pleasant surprise. I would absolutely purchase a jar of the sauce alone. CRAB RANGOON FLATBREAD : an elevated version of a favorite take out additive. Sauce to ingredient ratio was to die for! GREEN GODDESS & MANGO SALAD : this salad was dressed to perfection, allowing all items to shine in its each individual way. CHILI CRUNCH TUNA POKE : I mean you quite literally will explode with satisfaction with every bite. The freshness and variety of flavor / texture is impeccable. FRIED RICE W/EGG ON SIDE : you can absolutely distinguish that whoever is on the line preparing your fried rice is doing so with the experience in mind. The preparation of the shrimp, the array of colored FRESH vegetables, and the rice itself. DIRTY MARTINI FETTUCINE PASTA : a blue cheese olive dirty martini is my all time favorite drink so lo and behold, there was a pasta created by its existence. The block of blue cheese down to the plethora of capers, absolute chefs kiss. BBQ DUCK : honestly if this was all I ordered , I would be more than satisfied. This item was accompanied by the most decadent Mac & Cheese , a perfected bowl of collard greens, and the pickled mountain of cabbage. STRAWBERRY CRUMB CRÈME BRÛLÉE : for the most part , I tend to stray away from a crème brûlée due to the lack of creativity. HOWEVER, the strawberry crunch crumbs and that dream of a sugar crust. I could clear a couple plates of this. PASSIONFRUIT & PANDAN TART : this hit every note of a well rounded dessert. The passionfruit was so tart with a subtle sourness that aided the coconut shortbread cookie. I would like to shout out our waitress Fantasia for an amazing service that evening by ensuring the plates never stopped coming, drinks stayed full, and any requests satisfied. As well as Chef Braedon for coming out to introduce himself and explain the magic he placed on our table. My friends and I will most definitely be back.

We were the only patrons for much of our visit. My birthday daughter and I ordered wine sample flights and chatted up the owner. Wife shopped the gift area and picked out a nice bauble. The good: the owner was very engaging and told us about the wines (and wine slushies) they offer. We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. (This would be expected with no attached vineyard.) The place was very clean, and the restrooms were easily accessible and spacious. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day. The disappointing: While there is a good assortment of wines, and many were on the good side of okay, none stood out and said BUY A BOTTLE OF ME. The fruity sweet wines were VERY sweet, not really good for dessert wine or sipping. (Sorry.) But again, the reds especially were drinkable and pleasant. The Italian wines on the flight ended up being my favorites, with the standout being La Doria Moscato D'Asti. It was light, slightly bubbly, and perfectly balanced -- sweet but still refreshing. If you enjoy Moscato-style wines, this one was definitely the highlight of the tasting for me. The winery itself has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a glass (or a flight). They also offer a selection of light bites if you want something to snack on while you're tasting. I ordered the house biscuits with jam and butter, which are made in-house, along with an order of fries. Both worked well as simple bites alongside the wine. One piece of advice: arrive a little before Happy Hour begins at 3:00 p.m. If you wait until then, you'll likely find yourself several people deep in line. Don't let that discourage you. Embrace it, because once you're seated you'll quickly discover that the wait was well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices--especially during Happy Hour--are outstanding. The Atlantic specializes in oysters, and their Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m., including weekends. We began with a Chopped Caesar Salad ($9). Every ingredient was crisp, fresh, and flavorful--a simple dish executed exactly as it should be. Next came the oysters: a dozen Rockefeller and a dozen Pacific. The Rockefeller oysters were everything you would expect from this classic preparation--rich, savory, and baked beautifully. The Pacific oysters, however, completely stole the show. Each oyster was topped with a delicious combination of chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and seasonings before being baked to perfection. They were bold, flavorful, and easily my favorite item of the afternoon. I also ordered the Double Stack Cheeseburger ($7), and what a terrific value. The burger arrived piping hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by a generous serving of crispy fries. It's hard to imagine finding a better burger at that price anywhere along the Oceanfront. My wife ordered the pork, shrimp, and kimchi dumplings served with a chili crunch and ponzu sauce that tied the entire dish together beautifully. She jokingly threatened to drink the remaining sauce after finishing the dumplings (she didn't), but she did convince me to dip one of my fries into it. She was absolutely right--it was fantastic. In fact, I now regret turning down the dumpling she generously offered me. Part of the fun of dining here is watching Shuck-Master Slim work. He's not only remarkably skilled but entertaining as well, adding a little personality to an already enjoyable experience. From the fresh seafood to the outstanding value and friendly atmosphere, this was another memorable visit to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you haven't been to The Atlantic on Pacific, I highly recommend adding it to your list. The pictures on Yelp did not do it justice…read more We got there 10 minutes before happy hour ended so we were able to squeeze in $7 strawberry mojito and $9 ceviche Mahi Mahi. The mojito was great. Not too sweet and you can taste the mint. My husband got the Oaxaca old fashion which he said was good. The ceviche's presentation looked disappointing but the flavors made up for it. The sauce was very flavorful and complimented the mahi mahi very well. My husband said it was the best ceviche he's ever had For entrees I got the 10 oz picanha. They actually give you two pieces of steak and I took the other one home. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with great smokiness. The green beans were a little salty. The yuca was good. My husband liked the filet but I think the picanha was better. Out of all the sauces we chose the chimichurri sauce which complimented the steaks very well. Service was really quick and attentive.

They take reservations! Yay!…read more This place has plenty of parking which is nice. We had never tried this place before so I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the picanha tacos with rice. It was delicious! I wish the tacos had some kind of sauce on top, maybe like a chimichurri sauce? The service was pretty good. The inside set up is a bit wonky and sometimes the sun comes in through the windows blinding you. We had to move tables. I'd go back!
