So glad to come back to Bakers crust after a long hiatus. A friend invited me to join her and another Yelp Elite for a Galentines dinner. The Galentine's menu contained a drink, two choices for food and a dessert I went with a cold brew martini, the sliders, the fries, and a raspberry cheesecake. Everything was fantastic. I wish I had saved enough room for finishing my dessert. I just brought the dessert home for later. A very successful Valentine's Day dinner. The place was busy. I'm sure it was because of Sunday being the last day for the Valentine's Day dinner menu anddinner and Valentine's Day weekend. The service was really nice. Everyone was super friendly. I knew they have great happy hour during the week, so I'm gonna be coming back for that as well as brunch .

First time dining in for dinner at Bakers crust the layout itself was very spacious and I love that about restaurants that I dine into because you want to have that private area of you're coming in with a date or we're friends and then of course if you want to have that group setting they do have a section where they have a booth/tables and that's always very convenient for larger parties so it's definitely a big establishment where they can cater to both a solo dinner date night or even a group setting. I been to the Greenbrier location for brunch and this was my first time at the Norfolk location. I appreciate the service as well as the special that they had going on was a Galentine's dinner for this week special an the menu was actually a good price for the amount of food and include a alcohol alcoholic beverage or nonalcoholic beverage, which to me was a plus and unique way to get people to come to the business as well as they do do happy hour where they incorporate food and drinks as well with a discounted rate so this is definitely a good choice for those that like to get that perfect bundle of food/drink special. I actually went with a couple of friends that I met off the Yelp elite community and we decided to do a girls dinner and it was actually a very fun experience audience and I would say that the choices on the menu were very spot on of a classic girl dinner where they had a side of Caesar salad that was actually good on the flavor department, but the only thing was the salad was whole was a little bit hard to eat just because of it and be more of like a spinach base where it had a lot of the whole parts and not chopped up. That was the only thing but definitely still amazing with flavor that was one of the most flavorful salads that I've had at a restaurant. The sliders were also a good pairing for the drink that , which was blackberry bourbon, not too heavy and not to light and very more of that classic snack size to incorporate the menu itself well as well and the toppings on the burger we're classic as well as very, not overpowering with the flavor of the burger itself. The last and the best thing that any girl would love to have after a long evening is a dessert a this white chocolate coconut cake was a showstopper. It was like creamy and not too heavy and more of an airy. Another thing that I did like about this baker crust is that they incorporate each section where you can see the action of the portion where the pizzas are being made fresh right then an there and than of course you have your traditional chef's kitchen area, where all the magic happens but I definitely did like that chef table like experience. Were you able to see them come into work with what food they craft as well as the drinks overall, I would recommend this place and I've been to both Chesapeake an now in Norfolk and I've been to both brunch and now dinner and I would be going there more often to see the other menu options as well as happy hour special that they serve

Consistently great! I brought my Dad hear AGAIN for lunch on a pretty busy Friday. Our young male server was delightful. He was very busy with a large 14 top table as well but certainly made time to ensure our drinks were refilled, etc. The wine country salad is still a favorite of mine. This time I did the combo and split it with the tomato and cheese soup. The atmosphere was bustling but still pleasant to have a nice conversation at lunch.

My husband and I came here with a group. It was our first time at Baker's Crust. The food was pricey and there were some added fees that could have been explained better by the server beforehand. We passed by a number of Baker's Crusts in the area and we're looking forward to eating there, however, the food just tasted okay and in our opinion wasn't worth the high price. A number of people in our party also weren't impressed with the food, although one person who ordered the Blueberry Lemon Curd Flapjacks was happy with his meal. I ordered the Fish and Chips, which was hot and filling but was barely seasoned. The environment was spacious and clean. The waiter was friendly. Pros: Friendly service, clean, filling meal, good portions, can accommodate large groups Cons: Taste of food does not match up to the high price, fees weren't explained beforehand

There was an estimated 15 minute wait upon arriving on a Sunday afternoon. The server Amber was cheerful and offered her opinion on drinks And food, which we appreciated. The food was just okay. Nothing to rave about. The drink was average. The restaurant seating was cozy. Tables are rather close. Would return for those days when Im in the area and don't want to cook.

Came for brunch with family that was in town. I got a bacon smash burger & my husband got the smash burger. The food was tasty. There were so many options it was hard to decide. Definitely will come back to try different items.

This was my first time at this Baker's Crust, and I thought everything was pretty good for the most part. I'll admit that this Baker's Crust is a little smaller than the other ones I have visited in the area. Fortunately for us, we did not have to wait too long for a table on an early Sunday afternoon (or as I call it post-chuch "happy hour). For my dinning pleasure, I went with the Chicken and Waffle. Although I'm not a huge fan of places serving chicken tenders instead of chicken wings for Chicken and Waffles, I thought the dish was good. Overall, everyone at our table were happy with their dishes. I thought the service at the table was pretty good because two or three waiters constantly checked in with us. I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of members of service teams constantly stopping by the table, but I know some folks really like this, so I don't get too out of sorts about this. I'll say I thought service at the bar could have been a bit better. In my opinion, I thought the bartender was a bit distracted by other folks eating and drinking at the bar because it took us about 5 minutes just to get his attention and 15 minutes to get our drinks. Other than that very minor blip, the staff was pretty on point. Food prices were pretty decent compared to other similar restaurants in the area. The menu has a nice variety of dish, so I think everyone should find something that they would like. All in all, I'd more than likely would stop by this Baker's Crust if I'm in the area.

Most amazing people work here. Stop in and see Aries and Diamond at the bar. Try the Fennel Sausage and onion pizza minus goat cheese add pepperoni well done. Life changing.

Food has always been immaculate, I greatly appreciate the staff for the kind service , as well as keeping my coffee over full . Establishment is always well staffed ,and knowledgeable. How ever 1 small draw back is the singular table that is in the middle of the back of the room close to the bar , staff have a hard time stay a close and safe enough distance from people such as my at the table.

Run, don't walk, as far away from this place as possible. It's awful. They are just phoning it in. Last night we went for the pizza. Ordered calamari app and two pizzas and all were delivered at once. I complained and was asked did I want pizza taken off. No! I want my appetizer delivered to my table before my entree. I mean seriously this is restaurant 101! Server just shrugged. Took cold pizza home and tried to re heat and eat but Twas awful and went into trash. And for this I paid 45.00.

Love this place! The food is always good! I had the CHARLESTON CHICKEN & AVOCADO buttermilk fried chicken, honey beurre blanc, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard, brioche roll, side of house-made parmesan chips. (not available for combo). The chicken is full of flavor but not greasy. The avocado is perfectly creamy. There is just enough honey mustard. The bun is Devine and the bacon oh my! Loved the Parmesan chips. My daughter had the MALIBU SANDWICH sliced roasted turkey, avocado, mozzarella, cucumber, tomato, arugula, herb mayo, multigrain bread, side of house-made parmesan chips. Excellent! The server was very nice. Not pushy. Refreshed our water and ice tea often.

First of all can I just say WOW!…read more We were excited at the first because we thought the Neat Bird from Chesapeake had a new location in Norfolk Colley Avenue but there chicken sandwich was even delicious here too with a different owner! We met the owner, he is a cool band guy with a mustache name Dand. The drinks he made for us were so good and so was the way he talked with his staff and the way they worked together. My parner and I had seen that they pride themselfes on Scottish eggs, which we were lucky to try and it was also very delicious! We like that they have the vibe and also a board with many events of the community on the wall to check out while you sip on a delicious expresso martini. Good job to the Bird! now dont go opening another restaurant in Chesapeake or we will all be very confused!

You order at the register, and the staff brings the food out to your table. Everyone was attentive, and we had no issues with the service. We ordered the waffle plate, which came topped with fruit alongside eggs and their house sausage. We also tried the Huevos Rancheros, the Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich, and a build-your-own omelette. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar cold brew, dulce de leche cold brew, drip coffee, and an espresso martini. The waffle was huge, and the sides were great. My only complaint was that it could have used more fruit, as there were only a few small pieces. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious and came with a generous serving of avocado. The only thing that caught us off guard was the lack of salsa, since in traditional Huevos Rancheros the salsa is a key component. Even so, the dish was still flavorful and filling. The omelette was excellent, and the breakfast sandwich was equally delicious. I was especially impressed by the house-made jam, house-made hot sauce, and the perfectly seasoned home fries. As for the drinks, the brown sugar cold brew was excellent, but the dulce de leche version was far too sweet for my taste. From what I understood, they use two flavored syrups to make it, and I think using smaller portions of each would create a better balance. We ended up adding oat milk and some drip coffee to tone it down. The drip coffee itself was solid and came with free refills. The espresso martini really tied brunch together for me -- strong, well-made, and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience, and we'll definitely be back.

I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty. Overall, another very nice visit to a Stockpot restaurant... Looks like I need to try their Chesapeake location to get the trifecta of Stockpot! Highly recommend stopping in!

There is also seating upstairs (I didn't go up there...bad back). We had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. And they only had seating at the counter available when our buzzer went off. The server at the counter was very friendly and did a good job. We were saddened to know that by 11:00 they had run out of their home fried potatoes and the next batch wouldn't be ready for another hour...of course we may have been able to get some as it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The cooks and kitchen staff were hustling and working hard to get the food out so I couldn't understand why it took so long. I gave food allergies so I was really looking forward to the potatoes as I had limited options of what I could eat. So I had scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. I wasn't supposed to eat a biscuit but I did because I knew the eggs and sausage would leave me hungry. Hubby ordered the Piña Colada French Toast, Turkey Sausage and Scrambled Eggs. I must say that the food was tasty and cooked very well. Hubby never got his eggs, so we asked them to remove them from the bill. They offered us a free dessert from the selections but we passed on it. I would definitely give them another visit if I'm in the area as I think the home fried potatoes are going to haunt me until I taste them! I do t know if I would recommend this place for people with children just because it's kind of small. A great spot to take your S/O or meet up with a (small) group of friends. From the moment we walked into Oceanview Diner, we felt at home. There was an immediate warmth--like stepping into what America is supposed to feel like--people talking, laughing, and genuinely connecting over good food. The attention to detail was impossible to miss. Fresh-cut flowers sat on each table, adding a simple but thoughtful touch. Before our meals even arrived, we were served homemade herb focaccia with olive oil--an unexpected and appreciated gesture. And yes, even the water stood out. Being near the ocean, you often get that slightly earthy taste, but this water was clean, crisp, and clearly filtered. Now, the food. I ordered the Parmesan-crusted chicken with roasted potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was juicy (not dry at all) and cooked perfectly--something that sounds simple but is rarely executed this well. The collards were good, though I personally would've liked just a touch more salt and a splash of vinegar to bring them fully to life. My partner ordered the fried flounder with asparagus and mashed potatoes and had nothing but praise. Not a single morsel was left on the plate, which tells you everything you need to know. Lovely people watching, yet it's not so loud that table conversation of challenging. You'll notice that this is quick-ish dining. It's not fast-casual, but you're not waiting 30 minutes for your food. Expect at least 10 minutes for appetizers to arrive. Our entrees were ready in about 20, and the place was near capacity. The great thing about the wait? It was well worth it. Piping hot food, served with that homemade flavor arrives on dishes that almost match. I chuckled at the mismatched bowls that hit our table. I felt like family before my first bite. Meatloaf! I can't make one, but I'll eat one that is well made. Dense, flavorful and portioned to take some with you. My bonus was that I got my wife's leftovers, too. It was delicious! It was even better when I warmed it for lunch the next day. Traditional sides, worthy of their own review, but I'll keep it brief. Get the mashed potatoes! Send a thanks when you're full.

FANTASTIC! Vibes? Yes!…read moreFood? Yes! Wine? Yes! Thank you to John who welcomed us and recommended good wine for our food We came here with our son, who recently moved to Norfolk. He came here for his first meal in town and John treated him to a glass of wine with his gourmet grilled cheese He brought us to the experience : Brussels sprouts -- delicious with sweet and spicy and hazelnut Goat cheese and beet salad: good dressing, nice mix, exactly what I wanted for dinner Truffle tots: yeah, tots are good, but with truffle and Parmesan? Wow!! The vibes here are great. There's music on but you can still talk to people. Seating at the bar or tables or, if the weather is nice, on the front porch. It has an elegant but relaxed feel that would make this place great for a date or friends ( or family!) We will be back And yep, we are back for tapas Tuesday where all small plates are $2 off Hummus -- ok Duck egg rolls good Lamb meatballs : GREAT flavor!! Roasted Carrot beet with labneh and dukkah : delicious Dumplings-- good but spicy for me Miso butter gnocchi with mushrooms-- delicious Roasted salmon-- folks were split on this between "solid" and good Salad of farro and spinach with beets and goat cheese and pear -- this was amazing. The dressing had awesome spices in it that made the whole thing complex. 3 new wonderful wines ! Thanks to all at this restaurant for another amazing meal. You are our favorite Norfolk spot!!
