OMG! This place was amazing! Recommend by a person my husband and I recently met while eating dinner. The service we had by John was absolutely amazing! The apps did not disappoint. Our friends who came with us- well, enjoyed every single thing! We had the mushrooms- OMG, melt in your mouth yummy! Shumai- the ginger/garlic flavor was so good Ube creme brulee- was so decadent; crust was just right! Eggroll- was crunchy and not soggy; the sauce was nice and light Mozarella sticks- the marinara was nice and tangy (no heartburn!) The red sangria (carafate) was so good and went down smoothly- personally, I do not care for reds! Such a cute spot and trust me- I wish we would have tried this place sooner! Love the ambiance in this place!

Had a fantastic experience here. We sat at the bar and Kat, the bartender took great care of us. The music was lovely. Our drinks were delicious. Every member of staff we interacted with was charming and helpful. Great vibe overall.

We sat at the bar. They have a large wine selection but their cocktails were also very good. I got the lamb with the chimichurri sauce. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce complimented the food well.

Had a opportunity to have a afternoon out at Press 626. This little home turned restaurant is so welcoming. We were warmly greeted as soon as I walked and immediately seated. Our waitress Rachel gave us some wonderful food and wine recommendations. She was so wonderful and attentive! We ordered the pork dumplings that was severed in black vinegar!!!! Oh my goodness sooooo amazing 10/10. We also had the shrimp tempura. Tasty. 8/10. The baked goat cheese with roasted garlic, olives and roasted red pepper , also amazing 10/10. The lamb meatballs 8/10 could use a little spice. I also had the cuban sandwich with fries. The pork was flavorful, bread warm and crunchy. Overall great sandwich 10/10. I can't wait to go back and try some other items!!

This week try out something new and different a wine bar like this one it's definitely different where you have more open space for both people that want to dine in solo or as a group. And the first impression of walking and greeting was nice and very welcoming and was fast not busy at all to be seats this spot is perfect for book lovers to grab some lunch enjoy the natural light and dim atmosphere with elegance of design and decor. They open at 11am and we went there Tuesday where they have $6 dollars sangria which was a different style of taste had more citrus and light taste not so much of strong deep red wine flavor very light red but sweet and I also learned from my new friend who came to join me that they use there own flavor enhanced that are made from scratch to add a different kind of taste to the drink to make it more handcrafted and unique. Definitely will try that next time I visit. we also did lunch special where you get a half sandwich with a choice of rosemary tots or fries for $11 dollars. She recommended the duck sandwich it's fan favorite at the restaurant from the server who was helping us decide which one is the best. This sandwich was delicious and sweet and savory with full amount of richness to it and to breakthrough was the fig jam absolutely delicious. Unlocked a new version of sandwich and it was worth it the rosemary fries were definitely a showstopper they had both combined flavors of rosemary in a way where it hits your pallet as soon as you taste you get that light taste of rosemary and that classic crispy and airy taste of fries next time I would probably do that combo where you have a salad with the fries and champagne. They also have an event coming up where it course dinner inspired East Asian wine Nov 10th if you need plans this week I would certainly try this and they showcase the menu of what they will be serving throughout the night. But if you can't make it stayed tuned for more events on there site under special events. Want to go to a wine bar that had good lunch and wine selection nearly 200 choices and host dinner parties this is definitely my kind of place plus if your near the Ghent area of Norfolk definitely add this to your list to dine in for lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed.

Not my first time here, but this is one of my favorites when I am visiting near the Chrysler. The place is beautiful and quiet , and nice for a solo lunch or date night. They do amazing events, so I may have to take off early to join in. If you're a wine lover this place is a must. They have a few specials for everyday , happy hour , great wine selection , a very diverse menu. I love the staff there , super friendly and accommodating. My food order is always the Thai coconut mussels & Spanakopita sandwich with Rosemary tots. The Duck Confit sandwich is a close second.

From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm and inviting. The service was truly exceptional--every team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our visit perfect. The food was fantastic across the board, and the presentations were exceptionally creative, making each dish feel special. Everything came out beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I had a GREAT time at 626 Wine Bar! It's been on my list since we moved here two years ago. We came with another couple and made it a double date night :) FOOD: Gosh we ordered SO MANY things. The night we came they had run out of a few things on the menu - idk if that's normal or not - so our choices were a bit slim. We decided just to order several small plates and share it all. The LAMB MEATBALLS were exquisite and juicy. The WARM BEETS & BRUSSELS were surprisingly yummy. I've never had that combination before, but the toasted almonds and the spicy coconut cream really brought the flavors together so well. The CHEAP DATES are wrapped in bacon and placed over blue cheese sauce - I'm not the biggest fan of bacon, so I just took a bite, and the flavors worked well together; I'd never think to wrap a date in bacon. The JUMBO FRIED SHRIMP was one of my favorite dishes, mainly because the breading wasn't thick and crusty like most places. SERVICE: Our server was friendly and suggested many things! The food came out promptly - no complaints there. ATMOSPHERE: Intimate and romantic (if you want it to be). The first floor was all booked up, so they offered to sit us upstairs, which was a great choice. It's quieter upstairs, but that was totally fine for us because we didn't have to scream at each other when we talked. Downstairs is a lot louder. Will I return? Yeah, it is a sweet date night spot. And it's a great place to take out-of-town folks.

We had such a lovely experience here for both happy hour, tapas Tuesday, and our date night! We made a reservation for a table but ended up just staying at the bar because it was cozy and the bartender was personable, attentive, and friendly. We came during their happy hour which is TUES-FRI 4-6PM when they offer $6 glasses of wine. Tapas Tuesday was also going on which had discounts on their cheese plates & appetizers. Their rose wine by the glass was very good - it was a French rose and had good flavor. For food we tried 5 items: * House made Jalepeno pimento cheese dip * Basket of Rosemary French fries with homemade ranch * Pork & Scallion Dumplings * Miso Glazed Salmon. * Seasonal Thai tea creme brûlée (DESSERT) Seriously when I say that EVERYTHING we ordered was absolutely delicious I mean it. We cleaned every single plate. Highly recommend coming here and checking out not only their wine selection and lovely bar but their food! I can't imagine you can go wrong with any of their menu items because out of 5 things we loved every single one! PRO TIP: they have a small parking lot behind the building for customers! Also a small patio on the front porch with 3 bistro style tables. (Well behaved) Dogs are allowed on the patio!

For the last 10 years I have lived only half a mile away but had never been. I am kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long. Let me start with the staff our waiter, Tristan was fantastic. he was very attentive with a great sense of humor, and the host was equally so. They sat us immediately in a quiet area so we could talk and laugh without being drowned out by crowd noise. We went during happy hour and enjoyed the. Blanc de Blanc and the sangria. It was tapas Tuesday, so we got $2 dollars off the small plates during happy hour. They were all delicious. I highly recommend the button mushrooms, and the dumplings. See the pictures.

I went here for the first time in a long time, and I was a little nervous as my dietary habits have changed. But, it was a nice experience! The service and food were great! The wine is always good of course! I started with Parmesan truffle tater tots. The shrimp and grits had more oil than I'm used to, but I was able to eat and enjoy it. The pumpkin crème brûlée was delicious! They have outdoor and indoor seating so you have options. The atmosphere is so welcoming.

The service and aesthetics of this place are both incredible. I would highly recommend coming to this place any day of the week. The food and wine were delicious, so delicious that I actually forgot to take pictures of them all. All I got were the desserts lol the crème brûlée was good, but it could've been a little bit richer. The bread pudding was AMAZING. Very rich and moist bread, wasn't too sweet.

Absolutely loved this spot! Such a cozy and inviting wine bar with an amazing deal on Wednesdays $10 wine flights that are definitely worth it. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and I didn't have to wait at all to be seated. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The food was a huge highlight too delicious and very reasonably priced. I had the burger with goat cheese and peppers, plus a side of tater tots, all for just $15, and it was fantastic. Great food, great wine, and great vibes. I'll definitely be coming back!

This spot definitely got a nice date night vibe to it. Darkly lit. Super chill hostess but limited seating. There are maybe 6 to 8 tables total including a L shape bar that you can pull up to which is exactly where we sat. The bartender was really on point the night we visited. Immediately took our order, gave us a quick perusal of the drinks, and then promptly poured three different types of spirits, a wine for my first brother, a vodka and cranberry for my second and a whiskey flight that they had on the special for myself. We enjoyed all three. In terms of food, we ordered a couple of different appetizers, including the pizza. And I actually was hoping we were going to order dinner because all of the entrees that we saw hit the bar around us looked fantastic. We ended up connecting with a really cool local business owner by the name of Sonny, who is also at the bar having a bit of dinner before heading back to his Shop. That made the overall night even better. This is definitely a spotI will be checking out when I'm back in town.
