This location really lacks decent service. People working seem so unconcerned about customers waiting to place an order this day I was here. It was bad enough the family behind me asked for service and moments later just walked out. I'm not sure how this location succeeds if this is how they do business. After I finally got my order, the taco burger I order had a mildly unpleasant burnt flavor which I have never tasted at other locations. This is my first time to this location on Washington. As a side note (and not a factor in this review)- the menu is taken down and a small paper one is what you have to read from. Not sure why. read more

I ordered a regular order of french fries they were well seasoned they were perfectly cooked they were absolutely delicious. I ordered a combination burrito with extra meat extra cheese when I looked into my bag and opened up the wrapper I was very disappointed to find a normal size burrito. When people order extra meat and cheese they expect the burrito to be bigger than they normally would appear when they would not order the extra why pay the extra money if you read is not gonna reflect it?? I go to bakers a lot, my favorite thing is the ground beef burrito with onion and green sauce. I do not go to this bakers to often because the last two times I got the smallest burrito from there ever. They are charging $5.99 plus tax and it was as big as the 2 for $4.00 at Taco Bell. This is the last time I will go here, I'll drive a few miles to the one in north Rialto and get a decent size one there. I now they are all individually owned so that's the difference. Right when they opened up @ 6am I was there on a Wednesday. Ordering bfast for the safety meeting was on the menu. Feeding about 12 dudes with their food was easy enough. They have freaking bfast tacos people!!! I've never been at a gain that had machaca bfast tacos. Needless to say I was a hit at the meeting with y'alls help. This review isn't specific to the Colton location. It pains me to say this as an IE native who spent most of his life enjoying this establishment but - I'm done with Bakers. Over the last year they changed to gross tortillas, halved the size of their burritos and upped the prices and it's no longer a place where I want to spend my money. It used to be a place where waiting 30 minutes in their extremely inefficient drive thru line was worth it for the delicious food you would get at the end. No longer, unfortunately. Usually don't write reviews but have dealt with this particular location many times. Don't get me wrong, bakers is pretty tasty. This location though... is not the best. The line is always very long. It takes an excess amount of time for them to prepare food, whether dining inside or in the drive through. Even after repeating my order 2 times, they still got it wrong. Has happened multiple times. I had the double cheeseburger meal. The burger patties were well seasoned but on the thin side, I'm glad I got the double. The French fries were hot and lightly salted, perfect in my book. I try to keep my really negative comments at bay when someone who works in the food industry is rude to me because I get it! I have worked food also and it isn't the greatest! I usually never have a problem here and the cooks/cashiers are always super cool! HOWEVER, I'm giving it a one star because of my experience today. For starters, when I was ordering my food, the cook behind the cashier was STARING at me hardcore with an annoyed expression on her face. This cook was the ONLY cook not wearing a Baker's visor on her head and was instead wearing a leopard-print bandana. I ordered my food and noticed one taco was missing --not a big deal. I went to ask the cashier if I could have the taco that I paid for; she was nice. However, when she told that SAME cook I was missing a taco, she literally rolled her eyes so hard I thought they were gonna get stuck at the back of her head and she proceeded to make my taco, then she handed it to the cashier whom I thanked. I went back to my table to open it up, and low and behold! It looked like this! LOL, this is how I get treated and what I get when I ask for something that I PAID FOR?! It was YOUR mistake, not mine. And I was not rude at all because I know what it's like to work with people. I'm sure the cook thought she was cute or whatever, I'm not sure. Infuriated with orders being wrong. Recently, drove thru for 6 tacos for my family. Got home, ready to chow down, all 6, a tiny amount of meat and nothing else. It's fast food. I don't eat at Baker's a lot, but when I do, I get the 1/2 pound french fry. See, here's the really important thing to realize, you must read the menu at Baker's because they have weird food sizes. Trust me, just get the 1/2 pound fries so you aren't ticked when you get your fries and you wish you had more. Otherwise, what I like about this location, is I run through the drive through for fries in the AMs when I need something salty and mild in my tummy and the lady that works the AM drive through is REALLY friendly. Quality of food is sufficient to any other Bakers, but drive thru customer service is not. I love Bakers and the Baker daily deals especially the taco Tuesday deal,but our experience today was unpleasant. I understand fine print in deals and protocol but right now during Covid when customers are not allowed to enter the establishment, we are carpooling to Bakers for their delicious tacos and we get shut down to make multiple order purchases is just ridiculous. Taco Tuesday at Bakers, lines are long but during this covid it has gotten worse, but that is good for Bakers so to not allow multiple purchases especially on deals during this pandemic is silly. I was told it was only ten tacos per car and I understand that's on the deal fine print but during this covid they should make exceptions and be understanding. My neighbor also wanted tacos for her family and I volunteered to take her since I was going but sadly because of the fine print, she could not get her family tacos. I think because we can not walk in to the establishment they should have been understanding. I felt so bad wasting my neighbors time and offering a ride to get tacos because we could not order her any due to 10 tacos per car. The employee said we can order but will have to pay full price after I asked if there could be an exception since we could not walk in. He said no and repeated that we could order more just at full price. Honestly I never had a problem ordering more tacos for my family under the deal at one time so when this employee said No, we can't do Multiple purchases for the deal, it was super upsetting. I've been going to this Baker's over 30 years. I've had my fair share of bad experiences through that time. The food has always been great but there's been items forgotten here and there by the Drive-Thru. Never in my life would I imagine that calling into their "customer service department" would be such a hassle. I've moved away from the I.E. for a couple years now and decided to go back for that great food that I hadn't had in a while. So I went back in April to get dinner and they forgot an item. No big deal. So I talked to their call-in service and gave them my information. They called me back two days later to gime an e-gift card for $5. I went back into the I.E. in the beginning of the month. I ordered my food and presented the e-gift card. The cashier said it wouldn't take it after scanning it. So she asked for the card number and then said she was going to get the manager instead. It took about five minutes from the time of giving her my e-card to talking to Genesis, the "manager." Genesis said that if the e-card doesn't have a bar code then they couldn't accept it and I had to pay full price. I told her why I had the gift card in the first place. That her exact location took my money and didn't give me my food. So why couldn't she honor the gift card and take $5.00 off of my order. She said her drawer would be short and she was just "doing her job." Her job is customer service. To not make the customer happy and right a wrong that her location was such a slap in the face. It had been almost ten minutes now. There was a line of cars behind me and my food was most likely cold. IF I paid for the food full price, who knows if they would've offered to make my food again. I wasn't going to wait and find out. I asked for the receipt and let without my food. I went online and filled out a contact us form. I gave them all my information. No call back. I called the following day in the evening and gave them my information. No call back. I called their answering service again on Friday and explained that I had called previously and it had been several days. The answering service assured me they would call me back. Guess what? They didn't call me. I called them again a few days later. I spoke to someone at the corporate level and explained everything. He told me I was going to get more money out onto my e-gift card. I told him at this point I wanted to speak to his superior and take the complaint to next level. This person was also not helpful. I asked him if he needed my information for his manager and he said no, he has my information on the caller ID. He said someone would call me back. Guess what? No one did and no additional money was put onto my e-gift card. This company has gone completely down the drain. I've never encounter such a worst experience trying to get a hold of a competent employee, that actually cares about their job and making things right.
