Tried P&G and the ambiance and food is good! I love the retro vibe and restaurant itself seems clean and well maintained. Ordered the chili cheese fries and it was amazing, but on the saltier side. Overall, I can see why this place is a classic in the IE and definitely worth the stop.

Great tasting burgers! Ordered the thousand island fries and I would probably skip these and opt in for regular steak fries. Plenty to choose from a broad menu. Service is quick! Busy establishment with a line always which is a good sign

Haven't had P&G Burgers in a minute. They really are one of the best burger spots in the IE. First off, if you're planning on dining in and have never been here before, park in the empty lot next door because if you park inside the building parking lot during a rush it will be very difficult to get out. Also, there is indoor and outdoor seating but it's limited so if you have a large crowd, try to plan ahead or order your food to go. When we pulled up there were about 6 cars in front of us. The line did move slower than usually so I'm not sure what the delay is/was. There are a lot of food options and not only burgers. They have a variety of salads, serve breakfast all day, and have dinners you can order. I love that they give you the choice of fries, onion rings, fried zucchini, or a salad without charging you extra. Most places do. The service was great and please don't take offense if they read your order back quickly. This place can get really busy. The cashier read our order back perfect. Tonight we ordered 3 meals. A Pastrami Burger Combo w/ Sprite, Chicken Tender dinner w/ Pink Lemonade, and the Mechanic (Pastrami Steak Sandwich) combo w/ salad and Unsweetened Tea. The total was $58. We always order our fries extra crispy. It's the way to go for us. The Mechanic was really good. I would definitely get it again. It was seasoned to the max, actually a little too seasoned for my liking but I assure you, that's just my preference because I'm not big on salt. This was my first time having their pastrami in a sandwich and that's what was heavily salty to me. The bread and the fresh veggies on the sandwich helped cut through it a little. My side salad was delicious. I love that they use English cucumbers and put shredded cheese on it. My significant other tore his pastrami burger up and said they have the best one locally. My teenager loves the bread from the chicken tender dinner. Sadly they forget her Ranch for the tenders. Overall, it was yummy!

The "IE explorer" mentioned this place a couple of times for pastrami and the best burger in the IE, so we had to check it out. Upon arrival, the lot was full, but we had an empty lot next door. The drivethru was packed but the inside wasn't too bad. We walked right in and you are smacked with a huge menu and an order counter. We decided on the pastrami sandwich, pastrami cheeseburger and the mamas grilled cheese. We also got onion rings (which were not an up charge instead of fries, which was a plus). We got huge drinks as part of the meals and filled them up with Pepsi products. Turn the corner into a small dining room and got a 4 top and took a seat. As soon as we sat down it seemed to fill up. About 8 mins later our food was delivered. Our son's burger and onion rings came with a side of ranch, which was delicious. I asked for another ranch and was told it was another 1.50. Never mind. Ok so here goes the first bite.... the grilled cheese, cheese was not even melted... no bueno. The pastrami was extra greasy, but to be expected. Really reminded us of local Georges Burgers. Both came with steak fries which were cooked well and plentiful. The pastrami burger was tasty. Again, very greasy, had to come straight home and wash his jeans. The burger had good flavor and he liked the shredded lettuce. The onion rings were also good, but nothing special. Overall, this place was good. I wouldn't give it any "Worlds Best" ratings, but for a local classic joint it was good.

Second time coming to P&G Burger and overall it's pretty solid. They have a good variety of burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast menus. My only issue is the sauce. They add way too much. By the time I was halfway through, the bun was completely soggy, which made it hard to enjoy the rest. If they went a bit lighter on the sauce, it would make a big difference. Still a solid burger spot.

Colton isn't exactly the first city I'd go to for anything except business, but imagine my surprise stumbling across this immensely popular burger joint on a Friday night? Literally, jumping inside, long drive-thru line, nearly full parking in the overspill adjacent empty lot. Te huge menu boards really invited options and frequent changes of mind. My first dining experience was on a more tame weekday afternoon, but I noticed they're never really slow. The pastrami burger with optional onion rings (at no additional price) seemed like a great place to start. While the onion rings could have been battered better (or perhaps agitated in the fryer during cooking), they were very tasty, if a tad greasy. The pastrami really made the burger taste great. I don't know if the regular bun would hold up better than the whole wheat option, but I'll check another time. My second visit was at a similar time of day and this time I selected the $20 pastrami sandwich combination. I agreed with an employee who said it's a bit heavy and think splitting it would be adequate. The steak fries were a joy though, I really love those! Anyhow, their salads and fish options also seem worth trying, so basically, it'll be years before I establish a particular favorite. Fried Zucchini is another option for sandwich combos, so keep that in, no surcharge, either.

First time at P and G burgers... customer Service not impressed. did not feel welcome. no hello no, thank you no nothing.... oh well. I order monster fries., nothing special . Taste just okay,. I was better off going to In-N-Out. Room for improvement ... no intentions of returning! ****Horchata is not worth the $5 ... water down cinnamon water ***

Overall, the experience is good. I like that They have an old-school feeling inside with classic burgers. Menu is huge lots of options if you're looking for this type of food. Bacon Chicken sandwich- 5/10 too much bread, chicken too thin Chili Cheese Fries 6/10 ok not bad but have had better Double cheeseburgers- 9/10 very good! A step below gourmet I would come back but stick strictly to burgers. Also I don't like the fact that they have only Pepsi products make it Coke. It taste so much better.

nowadays i'm hardly ever in the area for this favorite spot of mine growing up, and after a lucky stop in today i'm grateful it didn't fall off. food (5/5) - i've tried a lot of the menu at this point but today got the pastrami melt and upgraded pastrami chili cheese fries and it was as outstanding as i remember. just dont think about how many calories it is lol. service (4/5) neutral on this because we hit the drive thru but the staff here is so nice and the food comes out fast despite being made to order. ambiance (4/5) not a large location, lots of parking but limited interior seating and drive thru can get packed fast. old school decor/vibe here is stellar and shows a lot of character on top of the great food quality. check it out sometime

Wow! That had to be the first word because that's what this was. Recommended by one of my bestfriends, he drove from Barstow & I from the antelope valley. We arrive right before a rush and place our orders. Upon walking i took in how the design & flow felt like a genuine diner in the modern age. They were attentive during taking my order and were informative with any questions I had. My food took a little while to come out but when it finally appeared it was so fresh & appealing. I celebrated each bite and cherished that westerican burger like no other. The mozzarella sticks added cheese in an experience I recommend everyone to try, also the fries were seasoned great and steak cut !! I'm definitely coming back to try something else, like the monster fries and a shake. Totally worth the stop and drive.

I would have given it a 5/5 BUT the lady taking my order was not very friendly. Staff seem to be nicer to men than women. I am a very nice person with a friendly smiling face and I'm also very polite so I didn't appreciate the rudeness. Anyway, onto the food! Despite the snarky looks lol the food was ON POINT && absolutely amazing. The steak fries were bomb and full of flavor my burger was hands down a top notch burger & the pastrami !! Holy cow the pastrami was the star of the show. Full of flavor and really tasty. They also have really good ranch lol the one in my photo is a small side of ranch which they charge 1 dollar for. I loved the decor inside, definitely diner vibe and cute photo op opportunities. Overall I will definitely come eat here again for the food not for the service lol I'll probably just have my Fiancé order next time then might be nicer to him.

We were driving by because we were visiting my son at UCR, and decided to give this place a try. The Outside and inside has a retro vibe, like a 50's drive-in, they have an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items. We went with burgers. They're old school charbroiled burgers, and the combos come with steak fries. We got the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger, the Pastrami Cheeseburger, and just a classic bacon cheeseburger. Service was nice, and we enjoyed getting some lunch here.

Heard the hype was in the area I ordered a burger fries were cold to much salt my burger was just ok. The girl at the drive though seemed stressed not friendly I asked for A1 sauce she forgot and left me waiting ... I've had better not a fan for my first experience

What does the P & G stand for?

The owners, or the people who started the resturant and 1996 Peter and Georgia

What veggie burger to you serve? Looking for something soy free.

Do their fries contain gluten? I'm not concerned with cross contamination. Thanks!

They are normal steak potato style which when I looked it up, the article said potatoes are gluten-free. So the answer is the fries are gluten-free!

Are the Burgers made from frozen patties?

I doubt it. They taste fresh

    How are the turkey burgers?

Excellent as most of their menu!

They make it with love 100%. You could see and taste the care they put into the food-so if you're trying to go in then out, it's not gonna happen, but if you can order ahead-I'd totally recommend that as well. The owner recommended next time to order ahead of time if we are on a time crunch (we wouldn't really be but we had a late start and were going to end up in Vegas about midnight...so i def don't regret going-but like the owner said-ordering ahead of time would had been the move!! . But honestly, when we are back in the area I'll ABSOLUTELY come back-and on our way home-i might just have the hub bring us back through! He had a pastrami and i had a roast beef. Went with sourdough due to yelp reviews- i chose toasted sourdough only, but they will do cold/toasted bread/toasted bread and cheese and fully toasted. It's like how that one sandwich place was-but actually good!! (I can't remember what they were called lol) Anyway, 100% recommend. The 6 inch was a good size for each of us, I'm always down for leftover sandwiches tho. So I'd get the bigger one if i had a fridge to put it in for later!! Looking forward to going again, only thing I'd LOVE is sprouts added. But I'm probably in the minority for that lol

By the time we were leaving the restaurant was completely full, so we definitely got there at the perfect time. Service was amazing from the start. The staff, especially our server, were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Our order was taken within about five minutes of being seated, and the food came out impressively fast -- less than ten minutes. Everything we ordered was really good. One small tip: I'd recommend asking for the potato wedges well done and maybe a little lighter on the seasoning. My favorite dish was definitely the French toast -- it had a slight crunch on the outside while still being soft and fluffy inside, which made the texture perfect. The red chilaquiles were my second favorite. They had great flavor, and next time I'd probably add avocado to take them to the next level. Overall, this spot is definitely worth checking out for breakfast. Great service, quick turnaround, and really satisfying dishes. I'd happily come back again.

Our waitress was tentative and on point. She moved quick and was accurate. Today, I tried something new. I ordered the Carne Asada Torta and substituted my French fries for home fries (order them extra crispy). I prefer them extra crispy because they're a little under done for my liking the regular way they cook them. The accidentally added bell pepper and onion to them and the waitress let me know ahead of time. I told her it was ok because I actually like them like that. My torta was good. It's huge! Definitely a meal for 2 people. The bread was soft - it could've been toasted a bit more for me because it wasn't able to support the beans and meat and started falling apart. It comes with lettuce, tomato, avocado, beans, mayo, and cheese. The meat was flavorful and even had a nice char and the refried beans were nice and creamy. Even though it was good, it wasn't my favorite. No matter what you order, make sure and get their salsas. They have a green and red and I think it's best to mix them... The ambiance is full of life. There's music playing in the background but it's not too loud. Definitely a cool little spot to dine in.
