First, let me say I had a great meal at Baker's last night. I had not been to a Baker's in quite some time because the previous few visits during and post covid the food and prices were terrible. I decided to give them another try because I drive by the Loma Linda location daily and on a whim decided to give them another try. I noticed on the menu they have an unfamiliar item, the "Classic Chicken Burrito" - and one my favorite menu items used to be the "All Chicken Burrito." Before I quit going to Baker's they changed from using two pieces of chicken breast to using a dried out chopped chicken that was just horrible. I asked the friendly cashier, and she told me this burrito has two pieces of chicken breast, red sauce, and cheese; just like the old "All Chicken Burrito." I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It took me back to 2019. And years ago when I quit going the bean and cheese burrito had shrunk in size to little more than a tortilla with about two tablespoons of beans and a dozen measly shreds of cheese - completely different than the bulky burrito with plenty of beans cheese I had loved for many years. And because my two long time favorites were both the chicken and B&C burrito, I decided to also get one of these. Again, I was very pleasantly surprised that they seem to have gone back to the old ways. The burrito was slightly smaller than they used to make them back in 2019, but big enough to give me those old times feels. And the beans were just perfect. I love that they are only partially mashed with plenty of whole beans in a thick bean soup. And to top it off, there was plenty of cheese inside. Altogether, I was blown away by how great the items I ate were. I'll definitely be going back. I can't wait to see if the burgers and fries have been revived back to their former greatness. If zero star was possible. I've been a long time fan of Bakers, and have to say it's unfortunate I cannot say that any longer. Over the last year, the burgers at the location on Redlands Blvd & Anderson have consistently worsened in quality. It's not just that they're obviously reheated into a hockey puck. The meat is of a substandard quality. The worst part is the fries are cold and inedible every time. The employees get the orders wrong and appear to be serving community service penalties instead of happy to be here. My extended family and I will not be coming back. I wish yall well. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience was absolutely terrible, and it was entirely due to an employee named Valentine. He was rude, aggressive, and unbelievably pushy from start to finish. Instead of doing his job, he acted like basic courtesy and professionalism were beneath him. This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Valentine showed no respect, no patience, and no competence. His attitude made it clear that customer satisfaction is clearly not a priority here. Frankly, it's embarrassing that someone with such poor communication skills and such a lack of common sense is employed in a customer-facing role. For sure use the coupons that you have and whatever coupons you have on the app, but just know that this location has a slightly staticy, not the best drive thru speaker. We accidentally ordered two of their burgers when we stated that we had a coupon for a burger for $2. Since everything is made fresh, this made our order take a bit longer and then even longer to remedy everything and it took multiple tries to scan and redeem the coupon. Maybe they're just not used to the use of the coupons or app at this location, but all in all not too bad. I decided to check out this Bakers and I usually avoid it because they have a super long drive-thru line. I figured it must be because they are doing something right. I went through the drive-through around 11 AM and it was definitely busy. There were about seven cars ahead of me and it took almost 20 minutes to get through the drive-thru. Make sure you have some time to spare if you decide to stop by. I ordered three Texas tacos and made it into a mama meal. It was kind of on the expensive side and cost $18.00 for the three tacos, fries, and a drink ( p.s. I did round up to donate .09 cents, but that's insignificant). If I was to go to a taco shop I could get three tacos, rice, beans, and a drink for $13-$15. The tortillas would also be homemade. Although it was expensive, the food was decent. The tacos were OK, but the excessive unmelted cheese and large amount of lettuce is unappetizing. The tortilla was cold and so were my fries. The best part of my visit would be the customer service I received from my cashier. Her name isn't on my receipt, but she was an older lady with glasses. She was very sweet and kind. She told me "good morning" before she asked for my payment, which I appreciated. All three stars are for her! She saved my experience at Bakers. Overall, I might come back. I normally go to this Bakers all the time, but it's been a different experience since they added the self-ordering Kiosk. When we first entered, the staff member who seemed to be the manager told us to wait or use the kiosk. She wasn't very polite about it. There was already a couple trying to use the kiosk but were having issues. Every time I've gone in since those were added it seems someone is having issues with it. After that instruction from the woman, we were totally ignored. No one said anything to us. The couple using the kiosk asked for help and the manager told someone to give them a hand. By the time he started toward them they had already figured it out. We waited several minutes without being acknowledged and then decided to leave. The kiosk to order food sucks. Hometown Delicious Drive Thru with Local's-Focused Vegetarian Options Veggie-centric local choices Recently I moved to Loma Linda for work in nearby San Bernardino. It's a wonderful place to live and I love it here. Most people here are part of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faith. The group runs the huge local university hospital so this area is largely vegetarian due to the predominant faith. Therefore the local drive in is a vegetarian's dream. They have one item I am addicted to even though I am not a vegetarian, the cheese burrito. It sounds like a quesadilla but it is so much better. It has some delicious sauce with so much flavor. Milkshakes are Amazing The milkshakes are old school made with real ice cream and a blender. I tried the pumpkin pie milkshake which had a slice of pie blended into it. It was just as amazing as that sounds. We have tried the burgers and they taste good with fresh toppings, but are not as juicy as I would like. Overall I would say this is the tastiest and freshest fast food in the immediate area and you should definitely try it if you are over here and hungry, whether you are vegetarian or not. read more
