We had our travertine floors and shower cleaned this week by Baker's. The floors look really nice, so I'll give them 4-5 stars for the actual cleaning job. The problem was that they left a huge mess behind. :( All of my fixtures have grout smeared across the handles from the guys turning on and off the water and rinsing their hands/tools. My removable shower head is all sticky and spotted - I assume from the sealant? I don't even know how to get that clean. And we've got tile/grout dust all over our granite countertops and everything on them. I wasn't aware that we'd have to bring in a cleaning crew to clean up after our travertine cleaning. Just keep this in mind before bringing them into your home. read more

Be careful of this company, very careful. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding Baker Travertine and the only response they had is that I should have read their very fine print. I signed an agreement with them to clean our travertine on the back patio. Prior to signing the agreement , I told them we were having other construction work done on our house and I wasn't sure if the construction company would need to use the patio for egress to the worksite. They stated they required a project date to schedule the work and I needed to "hold" a date for the work in advance so we "held" January 30th and 31st when I signed the contract with the understanding I could change it once I confirm dates with our construction company.. I did immediately determine from the construction company they would need to use the patio for egress to the work-site and they gave me finish date of January 31st which required me to move the travertine start date of the project to February 4th and 5th. On January 31st the construction company told me they would not be finished the work and needed egress through the patio through the following week ending on February 7th. I called Baker Travertine at 11:00AM on January 31st, immediately after I learned of the delay to reschedule again. I was told that I automatically forfeited my $300 deposit because I requested a second change within 7 days of the project date. I was also told It was in the agreement I signed and I should have read the agreement. I was also told I should ask my construction company for payment of the deposit I paid to Baker Travertine. Based on the lack of understanding or compassion for our uncontrollable changes I cancelled the contract. I did request a refund of my deposit and they sent me an email stating the forfeiture of the deposit was common practice in their industry and, again, stated it was in the contract . It is difficult for me to believe they need to make their money by collecting security deposits from customers who make changes beyond their control to their project dates. I am also very disappointed in the aggressive attitude and lack of any kind of empathetic customer service shown by a consumer based company. Please note, I only cancelled the contract after I was told I forfeited the deposit because I wanted to reschedule the date of the cleaning. read more

Two weeks after spending $4600 with Baker's we noticed pits and holes in our travertine. We called to ask if they could help us, but they had no interest in helping us! Tom's response "you are so far out there!" "Go to Home Depot and get some grout". We did go and get the recommended grout but it did not really work. Rather disappointing considering the money spent! I am so pleased with the results of the work provided be Baker's Travertine Power Cleaning! The floors look sooooo much better than they did before! We bought our 15 year old house a couple of years ago, and I've hated the travertine since the day we moved in. Right away we had it professionally cleaned, updated and sealed the grouted. But it still looked dirty and icky. So finally when I accepted that I couldn't afford to rip it up and replace it, I searched for options to make the floor at least look clean. I found Baker's on YELP, was impressed by their reviews, and gave them a call. Tom came out right away and explained their process to me. He showed me the finishes I could choose, and I decided on the high polish. I love it. Travis and Cody showed up right on time on Aug. 19. Our floors had been damaged by a bad contractor during a renovation of our new house. We contacted Bakers, and we were very impressed with all aspects of our experience. Excellent results: 1) 20 yr old saltillo tile made 100% brighter with great color matching for worn out areas; 2) 1000 sq ft porcelain tile had haze which was removed & uneven grout color which was color matched & made to look uniform. Tile felt like it had rough patches before and now feels & looks satin smooth. Great job, great workers, great husband & wife owners, so highly recommended!! read more

The floors were trashed from some renovation work we had done and we feared they were ruined. They squeezed us in the schedule promptly and the guys stayed late to get the job done with high quality. Primarily went with them because I dealt with Amy and Tom directly and both were friendly and courteous on the phone and in person. Cody and crew showed up as scheduled and all were great guys. Cody was exceptionally friendly, cordial and spent time explaining various aspects of the process, what to expect with the results and how to care for the stone. Scary business practices! Mr. Baker (owner) shows up angrily at property and verbally attacks the contractor! Caused a scene and such disruption that the security and property manager told him to leave the premise. He was so out of control he was warned that the police would be called to escort him off the property. This is unacceptable and inappropriate behavior! Where is his professionalism? He never even had a contract! Watch out if you obtain a bid and then hire someone else... I understand to assertively pursue business, but these aggressive bully antics need to be POWER CLEANED ASAP! read more

This is a great travertine and marble cleaning company. Their employees are very professional and friendly people. I would recommend them to anyone with travertine or marble floors. However, I do not have travertine floors..just ceramic tile. Yes, my tile looked super after this company cleaned it. But, I think I could have had just as much success with another company at a lower price. I wish the person who visited us for the quote had been more knowledgeable regarding the tile cleaning and what the results would be with our particular flooring. read more

This is the third time I've hired Baker's because I SO love their work. My Travertine floors are a real pain to keep clean; they are deeply pitted and I have a dog & a husband. The workers arrived on time, polite and professional and even good with said dog. They moved the furniture away and back again. I recently had the Saltillo tile in my house cleaned by Baker's Travertine Power Clean. Amy and Tom came out to do the initial consultation - they answered all of my questions, gave me some options and were very friendly and caring. I was so impressed that I was reluctant to even get a second quote but I did. The second quote was much higher and the company seemed to push me stripping the entire floor (instead of just cleaning) and resealing at a price twice as much as Baker's. It was a no brainer - I went with the Baker's. Tremendously professional company from start to finish. They are more than a floor power clean crew. I consider them floor consultants and problem solvers. My floors are AZ flagstone that were beat up that came with the home that we just purchased. We previously considered replacing them with hardwood and then polished concrete but, I am so pleased with them after Miles and his crew came out and addressed areas that were a concern and advised about things that they could do to help solve our concerns. Those additional things were not add on expenses but were part of the original agreement, they obviously wanted to make sure that we were happy with our floors. They informed us of what they were going to do and why and when the job was completed they continually offered assistance with anything that we felt needed an adjustment or add on.
