I actually really like plain rice, but this rice tasted like nothing, and the mac salad was literally the blandest mac salad I've ever had in my life. The reason I gave it three stars despite all this is that the pork itself was just marvelous. It was moist and flavorful with the perfect amount of char. The rice and mac salad come with it, but if I ever go again, I'll just tell them to keep those and just give me the pork.

You would think that if you move to a new location, you'd want people to find where you are located, and you'd want to be open long enough to sell some product. Cafe Kai's food is very good but their location is terrible and their hours are horrendous. We were stuffed. Each bento box comes with a variety of poke styles (9) you can mix and try, which made the whole experience even better. Every single one we tried was fresh, flavorful, and really well-prepared. I'm from Seattle, but this is absolutely worth the ferry ride to Hi Life. I'll definitely be coming back.
