I came in for a weekly injection and had to wait close to 30 minutes for my injection the young lady up front is receiving no help with the new owners being involved and New Management in the Chandler location it's absolutely disgusting to see how these higher ups are treating this clinic and these wonderful employees as a whole is truly sad with that being said I'm a patient of Katlin Wright and have been for over a year and she's amazing I love how attentive she is and how she truly does care for every patient I also absolutely love her medical assistant she's phenomenal always happy always smiling always making the office atmosphere feels so welcoming and comfortable I was also informed today that she is no longer Caitlin's medical assistant the company has terminated her for the life of me I couldn't imagine what she has done or did to be terminated the whole time I've been coming there she has been nothing but joy and one of the main reasons I continue to come as much as I love Caitlin in the care she provides I may just be looking for a different alternative just because that's how amazing Caitlin's medical assistant and Caitlin herself treated me and even my grandchildren when they would come in her medical assistant would treat those children as if they were her own children sad to say I will no longer be a patient here due to this also the company needs to get it together the way things are operating I don't foresee them staying open much longer. read more

I'm very disappointed in Balance Hormone center. Especially for the fact that I've been a patient for over 10 years! I love Dr. Cafaro and Nicole Fallacaro, but the front office staff and medical assistants are horrible. I called today to get an appointment with Nicole (Gilbert Office), I was on hold for 10 minutes, and I was number one in the que!! Finally a girl answered and asked if she could put me on a brief hold. I waited another 10 minutes! Every time I go in there there are at least four receptionist. They are usually not doing anything but chatting with one another. So twenty minutes on hold is ridiculous! When the girl finally answered, I asked to get an appointment. The girl told me I couldn't get in with Nicole until August (two months!). Then I asked if I could get a refill on my meds, she said it would take 14-28 days to get it. They no longer use an instate compounding pharmacy. They have to get the meds from Texas and it's now $715 compared to the $500+ I paid 6 weeks ago! I asked why it's taking so long to get the meds and she said it's because the pharmacy in Texas is backlogged. Bottom line...time to find a new place to go! Oh and the last time I ordered a refill, the receptionist told me I could either pay upfront (online)or pay when I came in to pick up. So I decided to pay when I got there. When I got there, the meds were not ready and I was told had to wait to see the medical assistant! I waited 15 minutes! She called me back into a room and questioned me why I didn't pay upfront. I explained the receptionist said I could pay when I picked up. She said well now you're going to have wait while we draw it up and get everything ready. This girl was a b*TCH to me. I ended up waiting for another 15 minutes. So the communication between the front office staff and the back office staff didn't happen and I was punished for it and inconvenienced for 30 minutes! Again, I love the providers but their office staff suck and so do the medical assistants. The turn over is high with these folks and it's become a reflection on the company. Nobody should have to wait 2 months to be seen. And nobody should have to wait on hold for 20 minutes being the only caller on hold! And nobody should be treated badly because they were told their medicine was ready and I could come pick it up, only to be grilled by the MA. And said MA was mad because someone else F'd up and so she took it out on me! Sorry Dr. Cafaro and Nicole Fallacaro! My husband and I won't be coming back! And the people I referred will be following suit. read more

I ended up leaving this office because of the incompetence of the front desk and office policies. I have shown up to appointments only to be told that they didn't have me on the schedule. I have had to reschedule those appointments even after showing reminder emails/texts as proof of my appointment. I have had appointments where a completely different NP was scheduled to see me as their new patient, even though I and the NP I have worked with for years never requested a change and had no idea the transfer of patient was done until the actual appointment. I have waited for hours to be seen. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars when they say I owe what the insurance didn't cover only to have a credit at my next appointment. It doesn't make any sense. They can never explain the billing efficiently or even know what's going on. The ONE time in the years that I have gone to this office, I was 12 minutes late due to traffic, and they had the audacity to tell me I couldn't be seen (waiting room was empty) and then tell me it's $40 to reschedule. No exceptions. After all the times I had to reschedule because of their blatant errors, all the time off work and gas I wasted for it, and they couldn't make an exception for being 12 minutes late. The NP I normally saw at this office was great but it's not worth the constant rescheduling due to their errors, the disrespect for my time, the continued mishandling of billing and payments, and the crappy customer service. read more

DANGEROUS. That one word - sums up my experience with Balance Hormone. With in the past 12 months I've had to return at least 3 times to the office because they handed me the wrong meds and/or missing key components of injection kit (like missing needle tops), etc...forcing a return trip. Now today I was refused my medication unless I paid a $40 fee for a canceled appointment. Which was canceled by me - but they insisted it was not in time to avoid the $40 fee. Ok fine. Let me get my meds and I will discuss the fee with the doctor. The response was - sorry, no. If you want your meds you have to pay the fee. WOW - health provider?!?! I made an appointment here to see a specific provider. They took an abundance of labs (copay was over $200) to get my "baseline" and then scheduled me to see her ... in a month. The day of my appointment I woke up with a fever, so I called the office and told them I couldn't come in. They charged me a 25.00 fee. Fine, I missed the appointment, I paid it. But I'm taking my lab results to a provider who doesn't incentivize their patients getting each other sick. read more

Upon Arriving/During my first visit I am beyond disappointed after visiting BALANCE Hormone Center. They seemed to have promising reviews and I WAS excited up until now. I am hesitant to complete my 2nd visit as it seems like this will not be a promising professional relationship. Completed Paperwork prior to receiving labs I did in fact let the receptionist know that I did not agree to sign the financial responsibility waiver due to my insurance showing the center as in-network. Witnessed an unknowledgeable receptionist tell a patient she had a bill due, and was unable to give the explanation of what services she is responsible for specifically. The receptionist responded that she just collects the bill, that she could connect with a billing specialist in the back to communicate as to why she has a due bill. While having blood collected nurses were coming in and out of the room, looking at my chart and walking out. During Checkout - After giving bloodwork The receptionist informed me that her manager stated if I did not sign the waiver that I would be refused service. A different receptionist then told me to book out for 2 weeks. She asked is there any specific day that would work for you. I said any day EXCEPT Monday. So I said how about 07/26 or 07/27. She confirmed there were no openings that week. I THEN said okay how about the first week of August. She responded with yes. I confirmed 08/02 or 08/03 or any day that week. She replied with saying there is no availability that week! I said so then what days are open, would it help if I was available Monday to schedule a follow up? She replied with well I see I have 08/07 available. read more

Was referred here by my Dr. I called to make appointment and was told I had to come get blood work done. My Dr had just done all the same blood work the week before and the would not except it. They said I could come pick up paper work pay them $200 and go to Sonora Quest since that is the lab that would bill my insurance for labs. I asked why would I pay $200 if SQ is billing insurance. Told that's what we charge. When that is completed only then will we make an appointment that is at least a month out. Geez. Went to a local wellness clinic that accepted my labs and only charges $75 for the visit. I would not recommend Balance to anyone. read more

Not very Happy. I am a patient, went in for a blood test and could not get an appointment to see my doctor for two months. Requested the results of my blood test to see if treatment was working and they refused to provide it saying they would only release the results at my appointment two months away. Pretty sure that's not legal to withhold your medical records from you. Not sure how you supposed to "balance" your hormone levels when you run out of medication and cant see a doctor for two months. read more

This place is a joke, it's the Kmart of Hormone Treatment Centers, you have to book your appointments 2 months in advance, they don't answer the phone, they get their Semaglutide from compound pharmacy shipped from across the US and it's the worst quality, you have to take 2-3 times more than you should to be effective, but worst of all, they treat you like the DMV office, horrible customer service, God Forbid you have to cancel your appointment same day of your appointment, cha ching! They charge you $25, they act like that $25 keeps them in business! I went in to get a blood draw and to see my NP, something I regularly had done. After the blood draw I was informed my NP did not work there any more. I asked who I was going to see instead of her and they informed me they had no openings for a month. Zero. After I had already waited two weeks for my follow-up appointment. Balance Hormone had days if not weeks before that appointment to tell me my NP was gone. It would have been a simple courtesy. Instead, no openings for a month meant I would be without meds for at least a month. Not acceptable! I have found a new, much better place and received my meds two weeks before balance hormone would have provided me with them. If you want good service go somewhere else. I am glad I did. read more

I am writing this review as I am severely disappointed in how I was treated and the lack of responsibility that Balance Hormone had for me this morning when I arrived to my appointment. I was initially asked to reschedule my appointment due to the provider I had been seeing, leaving. I rescheduled and did not receive a new text or email with my rescheduled day/time. On Tuesday, I called to verify my appointment time/day and specially asked at what location. When I arrived this morning, I was told that it was at the chandler location and I would have to reschedule because I couldn't make it there on time. They then proceeded to tell me that they were going to collect a $40 cancel fee because I did not cancel within 24 hours. I have no problem with taking responsibility for paying this if it was my fault, but they told me on Tuesday that I was at the Gilbert office. I showed up for my appointment at the office they told me to come to. For them to not take responsibility and try to take more money from me for their lack of and miscommunication is unacceptable. I have been a patient here for 4+ years and have given them so much grace over the years as they have not complained about the drop in their care, concern and service over the years. But today, I draw the line! And when I asked to speak to the office manager, they pointed me to the business cards and told me that I can get a card to call and talk to someone. There were 5 different cards and they did not even give me the card of who I should address my concerns to. I am disgusted by this level of service and don't think any patient should be treated like this. Me, my husband and my other referrals will be looking for a new place to go! read more

DO NOT waist your time trying their BOD POD body composition test. It doesn't work. I came in on February 15th to have my body fat tested prior to starting my body building workout program. I started using Sarcotropin which assists in Building lean mass quicker. I came in today to get an 8 week update on the results. They told me bod pod was a walk in appointment so I walked in at 8:30am. I was told the machine needed to calibrate and that it would be a 15 minute wait...15 minutes turned into 30 minutes turned into 45 minutes then I was able to have the test an hour later. My results came back stating I had gained .7% body fat... there's absolutely no way this was possible. It was clear the machine was not working so they refunded me. I'm irritated I wasted an hour of my morning on a busy day. I was excited to find out the results so it was a huge disappointment which makes me feel like I wasted the $25 I paid during the first visit as well. read more

Once I arrived at the Gilbert office to complete paperwork and do the initial blood draw, the staff was very friendly, competent and professional. Due to my scheduling constraints, we determined it would be best to see Dr. Rago at the Chandler office for my initial consultation. The administrative staff was just as good as the Gilbert office. Dr. Rago and his clinical staff impressed me with their kind, professional and empathic approach. I never felt rushed and they made every effort to communicate clearly and accurately. Dr. Rago, in particular, has outstanding communication skills and technical acumen. He explained many technical parameters with great conceptual clarity, which is very reassuring. The office staff was helpful in arranging subsequent labs while I was traveling and my second consultation with Dr. Rago and his staff confirmed all my initial impressions. I've been a patient of Balance Hormone center for about three years now. I love Dr.Scott and this review is strictly based off the office staff and whoever manages it. I have had to pay two rescheduling fees, one because I was running a fever and was asked to send proof to waive the fee. I did that and still was charged. The second my work schedule changed and I left a voicemail on Friday, mind you my appointment was the following Wednesday, so plenty of time. When nobody responded I called back this morning to reschedule, because nobody called me back and was told again they couldn't reschedule me until I paid $25. So I get having procedures but it is not my problem your staff does not return voicemails. Maybe we should be a little more open minded and not have the mentality that the patient, who pays is always wrong. Try investigating on your end. I have been going to this office for about 5/6 years now and it USE to be a great office but now it is HORRIBLE. They have changed owners AGAIN and it sucks. The staff turn over is crazy. They have major issues with the front office and medical assistance. The practitioners are great and are just trying to muddle through the crap of changing owners again. The front office gives you wrong appointment times (this has now happened 3 times). The medical assistants ignore messages (or tell you BS answers so you can tell they NEVER spoke to the doctor. I ran a primary care office for years and I also use to be a nurse, so I can smell BS from a medical assistant a mile away. Don't go to this office. Find an office that has a lot of good reviews.
