    I have been getting regular monthly massages here as a member of their monthly membership club for about a year at this point. I was disappointed to hear from my boyfriend's mother--who recommended me to this establishment because she is also a monthly membership holder and has always had a great experience here--that Valerie complained to her via text for my lack of tipping, instead of bringing the issue to me directly. Also threatening to turn me away (once again to my boyfriend's mother, not even to me) rather than confront the issue directly... I find that very unprofessional. I do not carry cash on me and usually am able to tip on card at any other business I visit. That is the sole reason I have not tipped in the past, which I do find regrettable as I have enjoyed all my services there. It was not a malicious act or meant to be taken offense to, and I did apologize directly to Valerie for any harm caused on my part by not leaving cash for her. If I had known this was an essential piece of revenue for their employees I would have been sure to keep cash on me. And if tipping truly is an essential part of their employees' pay to make ends meet, maybe consider raising the prices to accommodate their employees' wellbeing. Regardless this is a very unprofessional look for the establishment, and quite embarrassing that Valerie involved the woman who recommended me to spend money at their business rather than bringing the issue to me, the actual customer involved. Unfortunately this interaction has left a very bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome to return and to continue spending my money here. I am sad to say I will be cancelling my monthly membership.

    I found a Groupon online and wanted to check out the massage services, being new in town and looking for a new massage therapist. Andrew seemed to have received multiple positive review, hence I scheduled an appointment with him online through their scheduling system. A day before the appointment I received an email confirmation. On the date of the appointment, I showed up 15 min early to fill out the paperwork. The door was locked. I thought that possibly he was working alone, and the locked the door for security reasons. I waited 10 minutes, and a woman opened the door. She kindly asked me to fill out paperwork thinking I was her client. When I told her I was there to see Andrew, she stated that he was sick. I was visibly frustrated that nobody called me before to notify me of the cancellation. She had another client scheduled, so there was nothing she could do, although she offered for me to wait and see if her client show up. At that point, disappointed, I did not feel like waiting anymore. I cannot believe that someone would just drop all his clients without canceling them, even in case of an emergency. A phone call, an email, anything to notify clients that Andrew was not able to provide services today would be welcome. As I was driving home, I received another email stating that I did not show up for my appointment, and if I wanted to reschedule, I would be charged a $20 fee. This was the last straw in the "benefit of the doubt" bucket. I find this unprofessional to do business in this way and would not recommend anyone to come here.

    No one to greet me at reception, grabbed paper work on my own and filled it out. 9-9:05 so far and no one has come to bring me back, and my appointment is at 9am. It's been 15 min. And no one has come to help or welcome me in.

    Found Balance of Wellness through the purchase of a Groupon, which was a great deal by the way. Their website is super easy to schedule a date/time/treatment. You can see every therapist's schedule. The first available appointment I found was with Andrew and since I read lovely reviews about him, I decided to book my massage with him. Andrew was so lovely and welcoming upon my first visit. The room itself was dimmed, had relaxing ambiance music and the table itself has heating, which feels amazing. I asked Andrew to work mostly on my back, since I have quite a few knots there and I am quite sensitive. You can tell he has a lot of experience, as he immediately felt where the problem areas were and adjusted pressure. I am extremely satisfied with my massage experience and would definitely recommend coming here. They offer monthly plans, but nothing is forced onto you and there is no annoying sales pitch; only relaxation. I also bought my husband a Groupon and can't wait to send him over!

My experience was mixed, however. While I found the information helpful, I felt that at the beginning of the appointment the owner seemed somewhat annoyed that I was there specifically for cupping. Since it was my first experience with the treatment, a warmer and more welcoming approach would have helped me feel more comfortable and at ease. The massage was 10/10, the service and the staff are amazing and have been for 10 years now. Even though the appointment did not go as plan it was better than I could have expected with the short time frame. I renewed my monthly membership because the experience was that great.
