They even provide loaner clubs if you need them, and I ended up having so much fun! The property looks to be family-run and is surrounded by farmland, offering breathtaking views of the hills, ocean, and fields. They have chickens roaming around and a rooster crowing. I even saw a big Great Blue Heron stalking around the green; the older gentleman's wife mentioned his name is Brian and that he "comes to work" at the same time every day to help with gopher control! They also have a great putting green that costs $5 to use, which goes directly toward grass upkeep. I usually like to keep cash on hand to be prepared for things like that, but if you forget yours, they have a third-party ATM on-site. Everyone here is so nice and easygoing. I honestly can't believe a hidden gem like this still exists without being snatched up by developers. Hopefully, it stays exactly as it is, and the state doesn't step in to force more housing development like they are doing everywhere else. I am definitely coming back and telling all my friends and family about this place!

The bar, club house and driving range are very very dated. This could and should be a huge cash cow for the city and county, but facilities are stuck in 1975. You can't change the location but you can remodel the structures and driving range to modernize and make more money.

Ian is the real deal - he fits his teaching perfectly between technical analysis and feel. He doesn't overwhelm with things like "oh your face is 2* open at impact" or "7500 rpms is too spinny for a 6 iron lets fix that" I would get from some other coach. I have went from shooting ~130 per round to getting my first handicap at 30.5 to getting my current handicap to 18.7 to signing up for my first tournament in 14 months. I have taken 9 lessons over these 13 months and he has built my swing from nothing to where it is today. I know that my velocity of improvement has everything to do with his teaching. Come in with an open mind and be ready to practice - you will improve with his teaching and analysis.

The lesson is located at Boulder Creek which i found was a private gold course right hidden in back next past Almaden Lake. I saw turkeys coming in and a coyote and deer on the way out. So awesome!! It was kind of a cold day, foggy, but was beautiful on the course and luckily warmed up throughout the lesson. U can park then make ur way to the range which is the walk way in front of parking lots. Sean is so nice and friendly and makes u feel great even when the ball goes awry. He helped me correct my swing so I'm rotating and using my whole torso/body instead of just my arms. Also my stance and grip. This was my first lesson and we already saw improvement in how far the ball was hit! I would def recommend Sean and will be back for more lessons!!

I had booked our tee times well in advance, but there was a bit of a miscommunication on the books when we arrived, and the staff seemed surprised by our family check-in. Honestly, Nate was the absolute MVP of the day. Without him, our day would have been ruined. So, we truly appreciate him and we were so grateful that he went above and beyond to get us completely taken care of, ensuring our family was able to stick together and play/spectate as a group for the whole round. We timed the day perfectly, wrapping up on the 18th hole right around 8 PM. To cap off a great day, we had dinner at The Conservatory. The customer service there was top-notch, and the food was exceptional. My dad enjoyed it so much that he already wants to come back to try out the Ocean Course next time--hopefully with a more organized situation at check-in!

I was struggling with a few long term issues before…read moreI went to see him, mostly an out to in path (even though I have tried so many things to fix this), overtaking my swing with my upper body, as well as an inconsistent low point. After a few lessons with Ron in which we dissected and broke down my swing and built it back up, we hit a breakthrough session. Not only was I able to consistently hit with an in to out path and a consistent low point, I added a fair amount of distance to my clubs (which wasn't my intent, but came in a natural way). Ron's teaches with enthusiasm, positivity, and patience. He individualizes different feels for me, so what may work with someone else may not work for me, and vice versa. Even though I've been pretty consistent with my swing, I plan on continuing with Ron to refine my swing and work on different aspects of golf.
