A small market, with good service, not super friendly, but courteous. I passed by the meat department and the meats look nice and fresh.

We just assumed we'd get the top one. We find out when we got home he wrapped up one from the bottom that was full of tough fat all around the edges and in large chunks through the steak. It has maybe five good bites on the on the whole 18 dollar steak. Today we asked for beef short ribs. The package he pointed us to was five ribs with only meat showing. They looked great. We drive home and find out they are all bone. The very edge had meet on it which showed through the cellophane. There's maybe a dozen bites of beef on this 24.00 pack of beef ribs. Fruit that goes bad in two days has been something we've seen at Ralph's. Higher prices. Less coupons in the mail. Guess Ralph's is cutting corners and the customers are paying the price.

The local grocery store that caters to everyone. Of course we all need that. Also a positive thing,…read morethey still have the gold star machine for converting change into cash....lol... We all have that jar or tin where all the loose spare change gets tossed into. After years of tossing the loose change away, it was time to bring it in for actual cash. There was actually another store that I popped into but their machine was out of order. This Ralph still has there up front right by the floral and self serve register. It's as simple as it gets when using it. Touch the screen to start. From there, toss all the loose coins into the tray and start. It sorts it out and counts the coins for you. Anything that isn't a normal coins gets dispensed down to the return slot. Once you finish, it breaks down and count the totals amount of coins counted. The breakdown of everything that was accepted. To cash out, they print out a voucher where it can be used for purchase or cash from the register. Simple as that. Oh, they do take a certain amount for the fee. Anyways, it's old school but with the coins but it does come in handy... lol... Store, it's your local spot where the neighborhood shop. Depending on when you come, early or evening tends to be when the restocking happens. Throughout the day, it happens but rarely as they rather have it done when the store is less busy. The produce is always pretty fresh with the regular and organic. Meats has alway been great whenever I'm there. Seafood, they have a decent selections. Some stores more than others but it does the trick. Hot deli section has a good selections of premade item. Depending on what day you visit, they have deals. Like fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, pizzas and so on. Different day different special. When checking out, sometimes it's faster to do self check out. But where there's loads in your cart, it's probably a better bet to go into the lines as the groceries does pile up and trying to bag yourself can be a bitch. There's not much negative about this place as it's a pretty straight shot. Plenty of parking in the lot.

She was upset about a small sample paper cup that was sitting inside the cart and accused them of throwing it there. The strange part is that my family member was still holding their own sample cup in their hand and told her that. Instead of realizing it may have been left there by someone else, the woman aggressively snatched the cup from her hand, and continued escalating the situation. The conversation was happening in Korean, and she began insulting them, saying they didn't even speak Korean and couldn't understand what she was saying. We are Korean by the way. All of this over a tiny paper sample cup that wasn't even theirs. The cashier seemed confused and was apologetic, clearly unsure why this woman was acting this way. What was more disappointing was that when it was brought to the owner or manager's attention, the response was dismissive. My family member was asked to let it go, not the worker It's concerning that someone felt comfortable physically reaching into a customer's cart and grabbing something from their hand, and that it was brushed off instead of addressed. Unfortunately, this isn't our first negative experience here. On a previous visit, we bought multiple cabbage that turned out to be rotten inside. I called immediately, took photos, and asked if I could return it. I was told yes, but the person on the phone sounded irritated, like it was somehow my fault. There are other options, like Galleria, where the produce is consistently fresher and the management is noticeably more attentive and welcoming. Very disappointing overall.

Food4Less Great…read moresavings and deals that definitely impress! Needed a few things for the holidays, but also to stock up on the everyday and can I just say, F4L came through in lots of unexpected ways including in the frozen, produce and dairy sections, okkkkaaay!! The non-dairy milk was/is abundant from Almond to Coconut, Cashew to Rice, classic Soy and even Pea. Beyond grateful for all the Beyond Meat products at the BEST deal in town. Not to mention MorningStar, Impossible and everything in-between. Great snacks, juices, and so many 2 for 1 specials. We found parking right in front in their parking lot on the corner of Sherman Way/Hayvenhurst Avenue. All the staff was personable, even the security was quite the warm person during our visit. While some produce was low, we still managed to find fresh mushrooms and spinach. Shopping with my family we discovered a great bakery area as well, not mention a holiday cake for my mom, niece and nephews. I discovered cookie dough flavored Oreos and dairy free ice cream for myself. During the holidays and peak hours the parking lot is definitely still a zoo of sorts, but be patient, take your time and you'll get in and out easy. I'm not a frequenter of Food4Less locations with other reasonable places closer to me, but this is the closest location and one I'd recommend in the Lake Balboa area of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, just off the 405 fwy passed the Van Nuys Airport. Typically open 6AM - 12AM/Midnight every day of the week with some differing/reduced hours on holidays. If you been to any Food4Less you know you self bag your groceries. Their plastic bags are super nice, clear and sturdy with the logo on each side. Good spirit selection, locked up in front. Also great wine and beer options, we definitely grabbed so things for Christmas and New Years. Hoping to return again soon for any and all occasions now that I know I've been sleeping on this grocery gem for a bit. I did frequent the Reseda and Canoga Park locations when I lived on the west side of the valley once upon a time ago, but this is definitely one of the more well put together and kept up locations.

Part of the excitement in coming to an international market like this is getting a chance to try all kinds of foods you haven't before. I decided to go check it out for myself. What a find. First of all, it's not one store. It's a little international mini mall. And every single one of the merchants stores is occupied. There is a watch in time piece store. There's an international gift store. There's a dry cleaners and shoe repair. There's a kosher meat store. And I'm not sure what all else but it wasn't just a location for a grocery store. And then I walked into the grocery store and Man was I impressed. The store was laid out beautifully in a very old-school fashion where you could see all the cans in the aisles. The store proudly displayed seafood sign. Meat sign. And fresh vegetables. It was very easy to navigate the aisles as they were not overcrowded with promotional merchandise like most grocery stores. The other thing I like about this stores that you could actually touch the produce. Reminiscent of what you could do before grocery store started wrapping everything in plastic And on top of that I got three porterhouse steaks for $41. That is crazy cheap. This might be the first time I've come to the store in person but it's not gonna be the last.

This Vons is a bigger store than the one in Studio City. It is shared with a lot of businesses and has a lot of parking spaces. He used the self checkout since he finds it easier and faster. He said the aisles were very easy to navigate, clean and inside the store all employees were very helpful. On this visit he got 2 different types of cream cheese. One Strawberry flavor, and the other one Garden Vegetables, he got Traditional Guacamole that comes 4 in a pack. Also, got few frozen foods that were on sale. He bought flowers for me, got sour cream, whipped butter from their dairy department, bread, some canned and jarred food, candy, dried pasta and some soda. They have an enormous section of cakes, slices of different types of pastries, meats, also (marinated meats,) seafood/poultry, ready made soups, deli, long aisles of frozen section, fresh produce (fruits, vegetables) party platters, card section, paper goods, ready made salads, special section for juice/sauces of different kinds.
