Had to stop by to place an order for a party. Can we say, 50 pieces of fried chicken. The price is really good. Total came up to 46.00 with tax which is good. Not only that, we would stop by here now and again for some shopping. The hot deli station has a very variety of cooked items. Chicken, pork, rice, beans, sides, whatever you want. There's also a sushi counter where the rolls are made fresh daily. Juice bar right in the middle. It's a pretty big hot deli station with loads of premade dishes. Butcher section also has a big selection of meats. So many to choose from and it's alway fresh every time we stop by. Fresh from counter and package items. Don't forget the ceviche station when you're here. Produce are good with loads of items to choose from. The bakery is quite big as well with everything. Cakes, cookies, breads, pastries and so on. I also noticed that in the corner of the produce and bakery, there's a cute little candy store section. The displays were so cute with loads of Hispanic candies and toys. So cute. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Isles are wide and they have pretty much everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Some things do cost more than your regular supermarket which I was surprised about. Parking, it could be busy as the main lot isn't that big. There's a second lot just on the opposite side of the store.

Vallarta Supermarkets is my go to for groceries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This Vallarta is close to work and i love it because it is so clean and well stocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have beautiful Big Pumpkins. The meat and produce is so fresh at this store everything you see you want to just take home. Today i am here for a BIG party we will be having and we got the weekly specials by mail. The 2L sodas are on sale and that's exactly what we need. When i arrived i went straight to the manager to ask if there was a limit to how many we can purchase. With a BIG smile she said : "NO, there is no limit to how many you can purchase". YAY! i made my purchase with such ease. Thank you Vallarta in Van Nuys.

The smoothies here are actually really fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. But I was honestly surprised they wouldn't let me add a banana to one of the smoothies. It's such a simple customization request, so it felt unnecessarily limiting. Small things like flexibility with add-ins can really make the customer experience better.

We just spent $630 in meat , and still JAIME refused to cut 20 more pounds ... he was rude to us and to the other employer when we asked how long that would take ....

Always look at the description and price of anything at this store!! They label their things WRONG!!! This is not a 2.1 liter jar, and it's upside down so this was purposely done. Never buying agua fresca here again

I love coming here for produce, much better prices than American grocery stores for a lot of items! It was very hot this day so I went to the Agua Fresca station at their little food court and got a watermelon Agua Fresca. I ordered a medium but was given and charged for a large. Make sure to grab some fresh tortillas and tortilla chips made in house! Plenty of parking. Store is clean and organized and staff are friendly and welcoming.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I am honestly impressed on how clean, organized and well stocked everything is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped first thing in the morning on my way to work to get some tamales and a fresh squeezed juice. The selection of tamales was amazing. I loved how fresh and hot the tamales were. I also grabbed a juice and I loved that I was able to pick the items I wanted inside of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a beautiful location and good selection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I been wanting to review this Vallarta. I've been to many of the Vallartas in the valley. This is one of my favorite ones. Came to have some lunch and ordered menudo. I have to say it was bomb. Better than I expected. Great taste even before putting lemon or chili. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is always clean when I come.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service always on point, nice great workers. This Vallarta is cool.

10 stars for their meat and bakery. I love this Vallarta because it's big, clean, and looks modern. They have a wide variety of Mexican staples like chiles, bread, tortillas, sweets etc. we usually come here for their meat. The marinated chicken and beef flap is our usual go to. We also love the bakery section. The sweet breads and bolillo are pretty good. I think the real winner here is their tres leches cake. I had their cake for a party and they said they only needed a one day notice but I have them two days lol. Everyone at the party loved the cake. They kept asking where it was from and they were surprised to find out that it was from Vallarta. Personally I like the classic flavor, but they also have strawberry and mocha. If you're in the area definitely check them out. They also sell hot food like carnitas, chicharrones, tamales, fresh guac and agua fresca.

Please be very cautious about getting their sushi. I just bought some sushi and it wasn't fresh at all. I will never buy their sushi again.

We find out when we got home he wrapped up one from the bottom that was full of tough fat all around the edges and in large chunks through the steak. It has maybe five good bites on the on the whole 18 dollar steak. Today we asked for beef short ribs. The package he pointed us to was five ribs with only meat showing. They looked great. We drive home and find out they are all bone. The very edge had meet on it which showed through the cellophane. There's maybe a dozen bites of beef on this 24.00 pack of beef ribs. Fruit that goes bad in two days has been something we've seen at Ralph's. Higher prices. Less coupons in the mail. Guess Ralph's is cutting corners and the customers are paying the price.

The local grocery store that caters to everyone. Of course we all need that. Also a positive thing,…read morethey still have the gold star machine for converting change into cash....lol... We all have that jar or tin where all the loose spare change gets tossed into. After years of tossing the loose change away, it was time to bring it in for actual cash. There was actually another store that I popped into but their machine was out of order. This Ralph still has there up front right by the floral and self serve register. It's as simple as it gets when using it. Touch the screen to start. From there, toss all the loose coins into the tray and start. It sorts it out and counts the coins for you. Anything that isn't a normal coins gets dispensed down to the return slot. Once you finish, it breaks down and count the totals amount of coins counted. The breakdown of everything that was accepted. To cash out, they print out a voucher where it can be used for purchase or cash from the register. Simple as that. Oh, they do take a certain amount for the fee. Anyways, it's old school but with the coins but it does come in handy... lol... Store, it's your local spot where the neighborhood shop. Depending on when you come, early or evening tends to be when the restocking happens. Throughout the day, it happens but rarely as they rather have it done when the store is less busy. The produce is always pretty fresh with the regular and organic. Meats has alway been great whenever I'm there. Seafood, they have a decent selections. Some stores more than others but it does the trick. Hot deli section has a good selections of premade item. Depending on what day you visit, they have deals. Like fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, pizzas and so on. Different day different special. When checking out, sometimes it's faster to do self check out. But where there's loads in your cart, it's probably a better bet to go into the lines as the groceries does pile up and trying to bag yourself can be a bitch. There's not much negative about this place as it's a pretty straight shot. Plenty of parking in the lot.

My family had a really upsetting experience here…read more They were standing in line to pay when the woman who was giving out dumpling samples suddenly rushed over and started going through the items in their cart without permission. She was upset about a small sample paper cup that was sitting inside the cart and accused them of throwing it there. The strange part is that my family member was still holding their own sample cup in their hand and told her that. Instead of realizing it may have been left there by someone else, the woman aggressively snatched the cup from her hand, and continued escalating the situation. The conversation was happening in Korean, and she began insulting them, saying they didn't even speak Korean and couldn't understand what she was saying. We are Korean by the way. All of this over a tiny paper sample cup that wasn't even theirs. The cashier seemed confused and was apologetic, clearly unsure why this woman was acting this way. What was more disappointing was that when it was brought to the owner or manager's attention, the response was dismissive. My family member was asked to let it go, not the worker It's concerning that someone felt comfortable physically reaching into a customer's cart and grabbing something from their hand, and that it was brushed off instead of addressed. Unfortunately, this isn't our first negative experience here. On a previous visit, we bought multiple cabbage that turned out to be rotten inside. I called immediately, took photos, and asked if I could return it. I was told yes, but the person on the phone sounded irritated, like it was somehow my fault. There are other options, like Galleria, where the produce is consistently fresher and the management is noticeably more attentive and welcoming. Very disappointing overall.

Food4Less Great…read moresavings and deals that definitely impress! Needed a few things for the holidays, but also to stock up on the everyday and can I just say, F4L came through in lots of unexpected ways including in the frozen, produce and dairy sections, okkkkaaay!! The non-dairy milk was/is abundant from Almond to Coconut, Cashew to Rice, classic Soy and even Pea. Beyond grateful for all the Beyond Meat products at the BEST deal in town. Not to mention MorningStar, Impossible and everything in-between. Great snacks, juices, and so many 2 for 1 specials. We found parking right in front in their parking lot on the corner of Sherman Way/Hayvenhurst Avenue. All the staff was personable, even the security was quite the warm person during our visit. While some produce was low, we still managed to find fresh mushrooms and spinach. Shopping with my family we discovered a great bakery area as well, not mention a holiday cake for my mom, niece and nephews. I discovered cookie dough flavored Oreos and dairy free ice cream for myself. During the holidays and peak hours the parking lot is definitely still a zoo of sorts, but be patient, take your time and you'll get in and out easy. I'm not a frequenter of Food4Less locations with other reasonable places closer to me, but this is the closest location and one I'd recommend in the Lake Balboa area of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, just off the 405 fwy passed the Van Nuys Airport. Typically open 6AM - 12AM/Midnight every day of the week with some differing/reduced hours on holidays. If you been to any Food4Less you know you self bag your groceries. Their plastic bags are super nice, clear and sturdy with the logo on each side. Good spirit selection, locked up in front. Also great wine and beer options, we definitely grabbed so things for Christmas and New Years. Hoping to return again soon for any and all occasions now that I know I've been sleeping on this grocery gem for a bit. I did frequent the Reseda and Canoga Park locations when I lived on the west side of the valley once upon a time ago, but this is definitely one of the more well put together and kept up locations.

The store was laid out beautifully in a very old-school fashion where you could see all the cans in the aisles. The store proudly displayed seafood sign. Meat sign. And fresh vegetables.
