[PART 1 OF 2]
On Thursday 6/26/25 a Vons grocery store committed their usual malicious practice of Racial Profiling, this time at their Northridge, CA location. Their offenses are on video and audio. As I audio recorded my verbal Complaint I took of my valuable time giving to a Mike who says he's only the Assistant Store Director, despite my request for the store Manager or General Manager.
As I told Mike; I will be pasting this Review to their national corporate office, publishing it as a webpage, filing a Human Rights violations Complaint with appropriate officials, and distributing a Press Release to mass media and news outlets.
Coming in, I told the only employee in sight (who was standing at the self checkout area, at it's desk with her back turned away from doors), that I need a cart, and asked her where are the carts. She did not acknowledge her customer/me, let alone bother turning around; she blatantly ignored me. Moreover, I was having a hard time walking in the hot Sun on my walking cane.
Seeing that she's disrespectful, careless, unprofessional, unethical, rude, has no sense of customer service skills whatsoever; I proceeded to look for an available cart myself. They were outside on the opposite end of the doors.
Not more than 10-15 seconds after waking past Mike once I re-entered from that side of store, and went to the section I came to the store for; he had another woman get on the intercom telling security to do a camera scan and walk through of all isles.
I then began searching for another item, which would be at check-out area as is at most grocery stores. The rude btch from the self checkout area, left that area (left her post) and is following me. Once I find the item and proceed to stand in line, the cashier suddenly turned off her lane light that was on just seconds prior. I go to the next lane over and a rude woman with a large cart of items cuts in front of me so I go to self checkout which as an Introvert is what I prefer 100% of the time anyway so I don't have to deal with humans.
After I ring up my two items, bag them, click on the 'finish and pay' option, click on my payment choice, then reach in my pocket to get my payment; she suddenly storms behind me on my left and yells at me "You have to pay for that tote bag!" Startled, disturbed and not knowing why she'd do such a thing, I asked her what she said. She leans over into my cart, grabs my item with her filthy hands and yells again in front of everyone (none of which she was watching at any point, nor approached about anything) "You know you have to pay for this shopping bag!" as she's also being nosy leaning over even more, putting her head in it to look at my other item. Totally insulted by their disrespect, Racial Profiling, belittling unethical below-standard rude disturbing egregiously unprofessional behavior; I withheld from stopping to their level and telling her about herself, and instead replied "That's why I rang it up." Then she backs away from me and says "Oh!" ten walks up to the azzhle pictured here, the security guy who suddenly appeared and is standing where she was when I entered store. They snicker and banter as they're staring at me. So instead of finishing my check out despite my tight schedule, I pause and take their photo, then a photo of the register screen which she clearly CHOSE not to bother looking at and chose instead to Harass me with their aggravating nonsense. I then googled the number to the store and called to complain to the manager in front of the two of them. She picked up the phone at that same stand and hung up on me as I asked to speak with the manager. I called again and as I'm doing so they're still not looking at any of the people checking out in the self check-out section, just me. Another woman picks up, sounding like the one they assigned to make that Racial Profiling intercom announcement earlier. I ask the same question; will you have the store general manager come to the front of the store. She asks me the question back as if she doesn't understand, so I repeat myself again. Not more than eight seconds later Mike walks straight up to me. How'd he know it was me calling, how'd he know where at the front of the store I was at? That was even more insulting and bothersome. Yet when I voiced my complaint to him after I turned on my audio recorder in his face, he lied to me with his smirked up lips and nonchalant eyes, claiming that e wasn't aware of what they've been doing. I informed him of how clear it is that he and his fellow management are who obviously train them to enact such fowl abusive mistreatment of African American customers. He hesitated while realizing I'm right, then read more
