Let me start with getting an appointment. I needed to see a Podiatrist so I called Baylor Scott and…read moreWhite because my insurance recommended them. I called and it took a while to get through as it's automated at first and you have to wait to speak with a live person. Once I did I got a person that answered the phone he told me that he was in training. He did a good job communicating but told me I'd get a call back within 24 hours. Unfortunately I missed the call back so I had to start the whole process over. I called again and spoke with a friendly and patient woman who booked me an appointment for the next day. Driving in was not a problem. There is a garage for parking. I found a spot and walked in. I wasn't sure where to go and asked the person working the desk on the first floor. She told me to take the elevator to the second floor. When I got there I noticed that the waiting area is clean, bright, and in a large space. I had a brief wait and then someone called me over. She checked me in and I paid. It was fairly quick and the person I spoke to was friendly. After paying she told me to sit and wait until they could get me in for X-rays and then a room. I waited for about 20 minutes and then a woman called my name. After my name was called I met two women who took me to get X-rays on my foot. They were both friendly. One of the women was guiding me through the process while the other was working on the the computer and checking the scans. It was actually very fast. After the x-rays, I was taken to an exam room. I waited less than five minutes and another woman came into the room. She asked me questions about my visit and medical history and then told me that the doctor would see me soon. I waited less than a minute and then the doctor walked into the room. He was very friendly and professional. He introduced himself and we talked about my medical history and why I was there. He then examined my foot and we went from there. He sent me off with some options and a plan for future treatment if necessary. Overall I had a mostly positive experience at Baylor Scott and White. My only frustration was with the automated answering system and wait to get a live person on the phone. Other than that the parking lot was convenient, the office was clean and bright and everyone that worked there was friendly and professional.

I spent my whole lunch hour trying to connect to her office had to listen to all of the recordings, prompts, and surveys about rating the service called 5 times and was hung up on when the representative said they were transferring me, then finally a woman said they might be at lunch.. I loved my doctor she has been wonderful I have been a patient over 20 years But the system you folks have in place now does not work. Not about customer service. Wish she wasn't with Baylir Scott & White now I have yo drive across town to ask my doctor office a question. How on earth is that helpful to me?

He has all the qualities you…read morehope to find in a physician--compassion, experienced medical care, excellent training and judgment; and he also manages to be efficient and on-time! I've had excellent experiences with other One Medical physicians and nurse practitioners as well. The medical office is new and well-appointed--albeit with fake plastic plants; I appreciate the on-site laboratory & phlebotomist and x-ray availability as well. The overall corporate influence on office decor is off-putting; I miss the personal touches--no Medical diplomas, nor favorite art work in physician's offices--which I find dystopian. One Medical is owned by Amazon; I hope they don't mess it up. The corporate influences are invasive: "membership" costs $100 for Amazon Prime customers--apparently $200 without Prime membership; with neither, you can still be seen, but forfeit complete access to the "patient portal," and don't have access to after-hours medical phone advice. A few months ago, I missed an appointment, because I was notified of an appointment "with Michael." I didn't remember any such appointment! I failed to understand they were referring to my physician, Dr. Rie. Apparently, they've started using doctor's first names, "so that patients will be more accepting" of nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants. I'm writing as a retired Family Practice doctor. I find this insulting to physicians--I have worked with a number of nurse practitioners and physician assistants; I appreciate and respect their skills; it wasn't necessary in any of the several practices where I've worked to dispense with the traditional title of "Doctor" for physicians, in order to elevate other professionals' status. Any physician who has completed four years of medical school and a minimum of three years of internship and residency training; a minimum of seven years of medical training in all, has earned the right to be addressed as "doctor." I have not thought any less of the nurse practitioners or physician assistants I've worked with; they play a legitimate role, worthy of respect. I do think less of Amazon's management and decision-making though; I've never found insulting professionals to be a winning strategy. Regardless, it is unnecessary to downgrade the traditional manner of using the title "Doctor,"--a matter of respect--in order to artificially upgrade the value of other medical professionals. I would think it is an insult to them as well--their performance speaks for itself. I've been pleased with the care I've received from One Medical nurse practitioners. Perhaps, rather, they deserve their own titles? I think the military could offer insight into that. Everyone has a title, from "Private" to "First Classman" on up....

Jason Spees at Victory Medical became the steady, compassionate presence that carried us through some of the hardest weeks of our lives. What sets Jason apart is not only his medical knowledge, but his humanity. He spent an incredible amount of time helping my son process the trauma of nearly dying, difficult diagnoses, and the fear that comes with an uncertain recovery. He never rushed us. He listened. He cared deeply. When my son experienced dangerous reactions to medications prescribed elsewhere, Jason stepped in immediately, even seeing us on the weekend and coordinating with other providers to ensure my son received safe, thoughtful care. Although my son is an adult and we live in different states, Jason honestly told me my son would need me there for at least six weeks to help guide his recovery. He was absolutely right. Through complete chaos, Jason maintained a calm, grounded bedside manner that brought peace to our entire family. It genuinely scares me to think about what my son's recovery experience would have been without him. Victory Medical is incredibly fortunate to have someone as compassionate and dedicated as Jason Spees on their team.

Responses I've been given during poor episodes: A) Call someone else. B) We don't do that here. C) Find your own help. A, B, and C are my wording but my wording fits the type of responses I received. There is simply a lack of give a damn.. They are very good for Westlake type housewives needing weight treatment or ill-born men needing testosterone boosts but they are not fit for practical purposes. If you need a tummy tuck, a facelift, or some cosmetic or trendy thing, you've found your spot. They'll certainly refer you for that. If you're looking for legitimate medical care, I would not advise you to come here. A decade long patient is writing this. Oh, and never expect any sort of direct communication, communication from them comes through only the patient portal. Thank you for your time and attention.

Despite her visible dehydration and the difficulty staff had establishing an IV, she remained in the ER for approximately four hours without receiving any IV fluids. Before being discharged, she suffered a physical setback, yet she was still sent home. The following day, we were notified that she tested positive for C. diff. It is deeply concerning that a patient in her condition, with what turned out to be a serious infection, was brushed off and discharged while still thirsty and weak. We now have to wait several days to see her primary care physician for follow-up care that should have been initiated or supported by the emergency team. I am disappointed by the lack of effort and the dismissive attitude we encountered during this visit. I would appreciate a review of her case and an explanation as to why standard interventions, such as administering saline fluids, were not provided given her symptoms. We can do better for all patients.

I could go off about many other things about her time here but I am running out of characters. So incredibly outraged!
