So, I'm really torn leaving this review. The experience was very middle of the road. The good: the sandwich itself (I had the US Hero) was delicious. It was huge, had plenty of meat, and the flavor was good. It could have used more vinegar/oil/oregano but for the most part, the sandwich was tasty. The sandwich was well priced considering the amount of meat I received. The bad: the restaurant was gross inside. Looks like Jon Taffer and his cleaning crew need to pay them a visit. They seemed to be sufficiently staffed, so I'm not sure why there were neglected dirty dish rags by the soda fountain....yuck. Also, the gentleman working the counter could use a customer service skills course or two. He didn't greet me, say "hi how are you", nothing. He just looked at me for a while, and then asked if I was ready to order. I overheard him tell one of his coworkers later that he was depressed. I get that but dang...don't take it out on me! And I believe two of the other workers were having a tiff of some sort, because I overheard that too. They were also super slooooooooowwwwww getting orders fulfilled. I'll probably be back, because the sandwich was good. I just hope they can get their cleaning schedule together, because that was kind of a turnoff. read more

If I could leave negative stars for the opening crew I 100% would Pulled up at 10:25 knowing they open at 10:30. Me and my boy stood outside till 10:55 like idiots while two female employees inside just walked around moving slow as hell, looking right at us and not saying a word. Very Bad! April 2025 This new Baldino's location at Davis Road (I believe) Martinez, GA/Augusta, GA sucks. I have been eating at Baldinos for about 19 years between the location in Richmond Hill and Augusta until it closed and I loved the sandwiches there. Today I tried the newest location in Martinez/Augusta, GA. Bought the #19 Steak, Mushroom, and Onion and the #26 from The Big Ones - Baldino's Cheesesteak that is advertised to have the kitchen sink on it. 1. The bread is horrible. Soft and mushy. Nothing like the bread at any other location. Just terrible. 2. The amount of filling inside the sandwich is laughable, especially the Baldino's Cheesesteak. No lettuce or tomatoes or onions and barely 4 mushrooms. Previously I would order this item and it was large enough to cut the Regular size one in half and eat it later. It took me about 4 minutes to eat this entire thing. 3. Shame on the new owners for failing to be in line with Baldino's quality and ripping off patrons. Don't waste your money at this place. Get your cheesesteak at Mellow Mushroom - same-ish price and way better quality. read more

I haven't even received my food yet and I'm impressed. When a place has great customer service the experience just stands out. I don't even remember the last time I've BEEN to a Baldinos but once I got to the drive thru speaker I was greeted with pleasure and a friendly tone even though I wasn't familiar with the menu and I was ordering for someone else. I get to the window and it was even more pleasant. Even with waiting and changing my mind (being a lil difficult) she still was very pleasant with me at the window. 10/10 Highly recommend! Update!! Well this time service was only 6 minutes for placing the order to receiving it. They forgot my macaroni salad but one the counter ladies have me one. Just was curious why she took the 1st back then gave me another one. The sandwich of the day was made really good with the right portions of condiments but the macaroni salad was watery. So glad service has improved due to I guess they're getting into the groove of things now. So now I can let all of my fillers and readers know to stop and have a sandwich or salad at a place that I have always enjoyed over Blimbie's or Subway and yes better than Firehouse too. Although the new location is much cleaner, brighter and attractive, their subs are not as good as when they were at the old location.

Not bad. The drive thru makes everything easier especially when traffic is heavy after work so it pays. The spaghetti with roll I think in my opinion was good but not as good when it comes to italian places and it doesn't compare to my sister's spaghetti but i'm glad I tried it out. The food tastes good! I'm giving them a one-star due to their poor hygiene efforts. I see the dude with a beard slicing deli meat with no mask or beard net on. The other females in the back wear their masks down by their chins not even covering their mouths and noses so what's the whole point of even "wearing" one? They don't use gloves when handling food. And, they scratch at their faces and other body parts and then hand me my food. Pray for me that I don't catch a disease from their drive-thru food. read more

Years ago this was the best sub shop in Augusta. It was so fresh and so freaking delicious. It didn't take long to get a sub. So when they re-opened I was ecstatic because I had already thought that they were gone for good. I went in for a sub, there were two people in front of me and it took 32 minutes to get my six inch Italian Battalion. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing and "that's okay...I guess they're learning and probably new employees". Not a single thing about this sandwich was reminiscent of the sandwiches I used to get there, not to mention the horribly slow service. I recently moved back to Augusta and was craving a Baldino's sub. Today I went through the drive-through and ordered two number 24 family subs. I asked for all the Toppings on the side. She asked me if I want to mayonnaise and mustard on the sandwich I agreed. I come home to find not only did the sandwiches not have the mayonnaise and mustard on it , they didn't even put it on the side. For some reason, somebody forgot to tell the staff at this Baldinos you're supposed to be friendly to customers. What you're not supposed to do is act annoyed that they're placing an order. What you're not supposed to do is convey how dead you are inside with the tone of your voice. But that's what placing an order at this Baldinos is like-- You're talking to somebody who is miserable or annoyed. I would *never* *eat* *at* *Subway*, if the staff at this Baldinos made the slightest effort to be friendly AND if the drive-thru speaker wasn't horrifically bad. Today, the speaker was so bad I just gave up, because I had no clue what the lady was saying. If the owner of this Baldinos is reading this-- Why are your employees so unhappy? Why do you think that drive-thru speaker is in any way acceptable. You've lost hundreds of dollars of potential business over the years from just one customer because the drive-thru experience is so unpleasant that I'd rather just deal with Subway. I used to go to a location in Marietta and loved them and I found this location once I moved here. I try to go as often as I can. Great sandwiches, huge and reasonably priced. It does have an old school 70s interior and vibe which I personally like. The food speaks for itself without a pretentious "fast casual" atmosphere that raises the cost. Highly recommend. read more
