    Parmesan chicken

Me and four other ladies in my family visited here last night. The chicken noodle soup is the best I ever had! They have these very small soy pasta in the soup which made it so perfect along with the pieces of chicken. I got the steak cheese sub which turned out to be nothing that special. However I did try my siblings pasta out which was baked Lasagna and Gnochi it was pretty good. I probably most likely won't be back unless I am out that way again. The waitress (Karri) we had I think had a bad day, she wasn't that pleasant or had the patience for us. I think she just had a bad day and we were her last table for the night. I still tipped her at 20% because everyone has a bad day from time to time! I know life happens! Thank you for serving us! I am sure we will be back my family (siblings) love this restaurant. It's not my favorite restaurant but that doesn't mean I won't come back. It just simply means if we are in the other perhaps we may visit again! I still prefer other restaurants over this one. It was pretty nice inside but definitely not the best and a must go back to places. Their lemon cake dessert was the right amount of frosting in it. You will definitely walk out feeling very full and bloated.

Ordered a Baldo's Special pizza paisano style as a carry out - the exact pizza that we have ordered numerous times In the restaurant. They gave us a thin crust, which we have ordered before and the crust is too thin and lacks flavor, in our opinion. Very disappointing for an establishment we've been to many times.

For longtime fans, like me, that connection alone sets expectations high! Thankfully, many of the classics that I remember have made the move, including favorites like the Linguine Pescatore. Overall, the good far outweighed the bad during our visit, but since Dolce V had only been open about two months at the time of this review, there were a few little hiccups that are worth mentioning. The Negatives Let's start with the challenges. The restaurant itself is very small, which means limited seating. When every table is full, as it was during our visit, the space becomes quite loud, making conversation difficult. This is definitely not the spot for an intimate or quiet dinner. Pricing was another slight negative. Bread is not included and comes with a $6 upcharge, the starter salad is also a $6 uncharge ($4 if you order an entrée). On top of that, there is a 3% credit card fee, which we didn't notice until the bill came. So, by the end of the meal, it felt like we were being nickel and dimed, and that feeling detracted a bit from the overall experience. Unfortunately, the bread itself didn't justify the $6 cost, it wasn't warm, and the butter was underwhelming (honestly, our butter tub at home is better). While the salads were very good, paying extra for what many restaurants include as standard can be frustrating. The Positives Now for the highlights, and there were many! Portion sizes are generous, to say the least. Both my husband and I took home leftovers, which is always a win. The clear standout of the night was the appetizer Arancini, easily one of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked rice, cheese and meat on the inside. Full of flavor, it's a must-order! For entrées, my husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and I chose the Shrimp Scampi. Both dishes were very good, and you could absolutely tell they were made fresh, not from frozen chicken or shrimp. That attention to quality matters, and it showed. While the salads came with an upcharge, they were large for a side salad and had fancy lettuce and toppings, and I especially loved the house-made creamy Italian dressing. That dressing alone might convince me to order the salad again, even with the extra cost! A small but appreciated touch was that the beer was ice-cold and served in a frosty glass, which always elevates the experience. Final Thoughts All in, our date night with beers, bread, appetizer, salads, and entrées - came in at just over $100. It's definitely on the pricey side, but not unreasonable given the portion sizes and fresh food quality. You could easily skip the add-ons and up charges to make the meal more affordable and still have a very good meal experience! This is a must try in my opinion, just go in knowing what to expect in advance! We will definitely be back very soon!

After being seated, it was all about excellent food, drinks, and service. Vic's menu is really special. You just don't see this kind of authentic Italian food on many menus these days. We started with cocktails. They were a perfect opener. We were served fresh bread as well as garlic bread. Of course, the bread was delicious. All of us ordered Caesar salads, which were also delicious. From the Filet Marsala to a "Pasta Trio" of cannoli, fettuccine Alfredo, and lasagna, all of our entrees were superb. The steaks were cooked to order...and were so tender they could be cut with a butter knife. The dessert tray was amazing. All of us had cannolis. Just like everything else, they were excellent. Vic's will be the first restaurant I visit every time I come back to the Detroit area. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Our waitress approached us, told us the nightly specials and delivered our drinks. We ordered the Calamari appetizer with warm white wine and butter dipping sauce. Excellent and cooked perfectly, steak cut, no rings, yum! We both chose Minestrone soup, very tasty and we also received a bread and butter basket with a cup of marinara sauce. Our dinner came in a timely fashion, I ordered my favorite, Chicken Francese, I ordered garlic mash potatoes instead of pasta. Chicken was fork tender and the lemon butter sauce was light and delicious, mash potatoes were so good, I loved my dinner. Husband ordered Chicken Tosca with pasta and meat sauce, he was very pleased. Our waitress took good care of us! They offer a dessert tray and we took home a delicious piece of cheesecake with fruit inside. Great Anniversary dinner and Vic's made it happen. Give Vic's a try, excellent food, reasonably priced!
