I normally don't review chain restaurants. I'm making the exception with this review because my experience was exceptionally good. On a Friday evening, my party of 7 was seated within 5 minutes. Our server was at the table soon after we sat down. She was friendly and efficient. All of the entrees were good. (I had a sample of 5 of the other diners' entrees and my of course my own.) I like them all. The ambiance is the typical experience at a chain restaurant like this. That's not to say it's bad. It isn't. It's just not special in any way. All things considered: if you want some Italian food and don't mind the ambience of a chain restaurant, I recommend you stop in at this Carrabba's. read more

The food was good, but the service wasn't what I had hoped for. Overall our dining experience lasted nearly 3 hours. While I understand we were a large party, I felt like an effort wasn't fully made to take everyone's drink order and some of the food came out incorrectly. There were only a few other tables in the restaurant so they weren't even busy. I was also a little surprised because there was an elderly couple, one person with a walker and the other carrying a large to go bag who were struggling to open the door to leave and the two hosts just stood there and didn't even help them. I ordered the Meatballs & Ricotta Appetizer as a carryout. I received 2 COLD, UNHEATED meatballs stuffed inside a small soup carryout cup with hardly any ricotta. This was supposed to be an APPETIZER, not a side of cold, unheated meatballs. It looks NOTHING like the pic they have advertised on Carrabba's website. I went here to try things I have never tried at a non 4-5 star restaurant and I was 100% happy. I requested a bar seat and the bartender was not very timely for whatever reason but she thanked me for my patience. I order the lemon butter pesto branzino fish with spinach and minestrone soup. The food was A1. The only thing I didn't prefer was a lot of oil that I am assuming was for the spinach that I drained off my plate it was excessive but my food was so delicious. I didn't care. I wanted to order another bowl of the soup to take home it was that good. I ordered a tiramisu dessert that was ok. And an Italian old fashion. I can't wait to go back. It's hard finding good food today. But they didn't disappoint and my fish wasn't dry and was seasoned well. My total was about $50 and very well worth it. read more

We get carryout twice a month and it's normally great! We also go there for our daughter's birthday. She loves the steak and ceaser salad.

Good evening! I visited your establishment with some co-workers. I liked my meal, however, there were other problems. First was parking . Please, new business that comes downtown, please buy parking lots so you're customers don't pay for parking!!! I received a ticket for seating in car trying to find parking. It's too expensive to pay for food and parking. Second, if you can please separate the checks. It's such an inconvenience to put the other people on one bill. read more

went for the first time on Mother's Day , we had a party of nine so obviously waited over an hour for our table and a bit of a wait for our food, without us saying anything the manager Corey came to our table and apologized for the wait on our meal and our food then came out soon after, our waiter Kenny was amazing and very attentive even though he was very busy, the food was absolutely amazing, we would usually do Olive Garden for get togethers but not anymore, Southgate Carrabbas is our new spot, and thank you again to Corey and Kevin for the great service!!!!! read more

I visited Carrabba's before work and explained to the manager, Lauren, that I was in a rush. Both she and the waitress assured me my order would be ready in just a few minutes. Although I was hesitant, the restaurant was nearly empty, so I trusted them. Unfortunately, 20 minutes later, I was still waiting and ended up calling in late to work. Despite the delay, I still tipped the waitress $10 on a $30 carryout order, which included wine, meatballs, and wings. When I got to my car, I checked my order and noticed the meatball container was cold. As I took it out of the bag, the lid was not properly secured, and the meatballs spilled all over my truck and my brand new sneakers--a huge mess. The next day, I returned to the restaurant to place another order but also spoke with Lauren about my experience. I even showed her a video of the spill. Coming from a customer service background, I expected at least an apology or some form of compensation, but I was met with a puzzled look and no acknowledgment of the issue. Despite this, I placed a $50 order and left a generous tip again. My point is this: with inflation and many businesses struggling, it's more important than ever to take care of good customers. Word of mouth can build or break a business. I hope Carrabba's takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service going forward. read more

Went to Carrabba's for one of their monthly wine dinners last night, and it was, as always, a fantastic experience. I've been to several of these and they never disappoint. Candice and Brandi were our servers again--they're both amazing and bring such great energy to the evening. Lauren, who hosts and walks us through each wine and course, is knowledgeable, friendly, and makes the whole experience seamless. The food is always fresh and well-prepared, with thoughtful pairings that really complement each wine. One of the best parts? They offer select entrées to take home for just $10--perfect for enjoying a second round the next day. They also host bourbon pairing dinners a few times a year if that's more your style. If I could give zero stars I would. I called earlier this week to make reservations for today for a party of 16 for a 90th birthday. I was told that the restaurant could absolutely accommodate us for the time that I had requested! All of my information was taken. I was told my RESERVATION was booked. On the day of the party, we showed up at the requested time only to be told " we don't take reservations". I asked to speak with a manager to get some clarification on how this could even happen and no one ever came to talk to me. They eventually offered us a high top table which would not work considering I told them in my original call that we would need booster seats for the 4 toddlers in our party. No one ever apologized. They were rude and seemed to just try and avoid us. I will never suggest this restaurant to anyone nor will I ever eat here. Let's start with Tamika. She is a phenomenal waitress. If you have a personality request to sit in her section. She's so kind, so funny, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The bread is very fresh and amazing. My fiancé and I both got Toscana filet and shrimp medium rare and it was literally cooked PERFECTLY to order. My wife and I dined at Carrabba's in Southgate this evening. In September we dined here and had a unpleasant dining experience. Tonight we thought we would give a second chance.
