As we arrived it was packed! Tons of cars in parking lot told me this place was going to be very good. The food didn't disappoint 10/10!! We started with a couple appetizers. Escargot 10/10 came out hot! Delicious It was smooth, buttery and lots of flavor. Calamari is a classic! 9/10 tasted amazing just the right size and not overcooked and rubbery. Filet Mignon & Pasta 10/10 cooked medium and so tasty! Cooked to perfection and could cut with a butter knife if you wanted to. The vibe was amazing, cozy and quiet until we had some drinks then we had the room to ourselves and had a fantastic hostess. Music was classic Italian music. The atmosphere had some great decor with history. If you want to treat yourself and don't know what to eat. This place has a range for all budgets. You will not regret eating here! Service was great, the food good Some vegetarian options available. I had perch and olive oil and garlic angel hair with a salad with lemon vinaigrette tasty !! My husband had chicken Alfredo and French onion soup, he cleaned his plate. Other members of our party of 9 enjoyed their goat cheese napoleon (very tempting) brick steak (3 people ordered it), and escargot ( again very tempting) Andrea salad (1/2 order available) and French onion soups. The food here is always great the few times I've been, and the atmosphere is outstanding! But I really must complement the soup of the day I had yesterday, the chicken Parmesan soup! I called today cause I wanted to get more of it, but they were out. I really hope you bring this soup back. That was one of the best soups I've had in a very, very long time! By the reviews, I expected more. Alas, this was a miss for me. The Sibley burger: the plate arrived and the presentation was no so great. It appeared to be a hand formed oblong wad of under-cooked ground beef sitting on a hot dog bun with a Kraft or Velveeta cheese single split in two and placed on top. No lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles...nothing. It didn't look appetizing. The hot dog bun, to be fair was a brioche roll and it was toasted. That was the best part. The meat was quite raw inside, not seasoned whatsoever and the un-melted cheese singles were very elementary school lunch looking. It was meager and underwhelming. It wasn't a busy afternoon, but service was pretty slow. I did feel a bit abandoned. The cranberry juice was watered down. I didn't finish my meal. But some people love this place. Dinner reservation at 6pm for 8 on 1/8/2024. It was busy when we were there at 6pm. However, we were told they were slow this day due to Michigan Wolverines playing against Washington for the national champions game. However, we had a quality dinner. Calamari, Goat Cheese Napoleon and the main dishes, which I got Seared Scallop Classico, were all really good. Although the main dish I got, Seared Scallop Classico looked very small portion-wise, I was so full after. On top of all the food, we ordered few desserts to share. We could not finish any of the desserts. This is an upscale dining restaurant with nice interior design, atmosphere, not for watching sports and cheering kind of place, which was perfect for the occasion. Always wondered how and why people rave about sibley gardens?? I been here a handful of times just to see if things got better. So lets start with the very uncomfortable seating? If you sit in a booth, u just sink in to low and hard to get out of it. Time for an upgrade on the super old and outdated furniture. Staff has always been polite and courteous. The main thing is the food don't match the prices. First u get a salad the maybe could feed a new born rabbit. We had 5 different dinners, two pasta dishes that both were very dry and tasteless, then a lake perch dinner that was good, but the fillete were the size of smelt.... 6 mini fillets for 35$. ?? Insane! Then the ribeye and fillet mignon??? Lets just say Texas Roadhouse is way better....so for a 500+ night out and we all walked out shaking our heads with doggy bags and will be the last time going to sibley gardens..... don't recommend this place. Vics on dix toledo in southgate will satisfy you at a very high degree for half the price. Also prefer Texas roads on pardy road over sibley gardens. read more

I've lived Downriver most of my life and I'm embarrassed to say I've finally gotten around to trying Sibley Gardens just today and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The service was fantastic (thanks Kelly!) and the food was unbelievable. I had the Steak Sammy. The steak was cooked a perfect med rare just like I like and it came with a side of house sauce that was amazing! It was legitimately one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is very old school, chill, perfect for a fancy date night or an impromptu dinner. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend. read more

We celebrated our Dad's 90th Birthday celebration in the small banquet room. Dinner was outstanding but the highlight was our waitress Nicki. What a big sweetheart she is!. She was attentive, fun and pure joy! ( I think my Dad would marry her if not for being married to my Mom for 68 years! :). The place doesn't look like much from the outside - but it has a very nice patio and the inside has a rather fancy steakhouse and somewhat of a speakeasy feel with a well stocked bar. The server was very nice and attentive and knew the menu well and offered some good suggestions. I got the Mediterranean pasta which came with a very nice side salad. The salad had a great variety of veggies and they were all super fresh. The pasta was also delicious with a good number of veggies. My mom got the Linguini Aglio Olio, which yes is prepared in garlic oil, it had a lot of bits of roasted garlic but it was pretty much soaked in the oil. They seemed to treat the oil more like a sauce than a light dressing as it were. Perhaps I should have expected that, but it did feel like over kill. I would definitely go back, but perhaps not really recommend that particular dish unless they've learned to drain it. read more

I debated between 3 and 4 stars... we had a reservation and upon being seated we were told we that there was another reservation for the table at 8, so we needed to make sure we were done with our meal before then. Not a huge deal, but also, not our problem. I have dined all over the world and have never been told to rush through a meal. If I'm paying $30-50 per meal, I want to enjoy it. Anyway, the rest of the service was excellent. The pasta was loaded with chunks of garlic and full of flavor. The Sonoma chicken was pretty good. Instead of sun dried tomatoes, they were roasted tomatoes, and I felt the dish was a little bland. The chicken was cooked nicely. I love chicken picatta and they offer a sandwich version. It was so delicious. The tiny pan of picatta sauce had lots of garlic and flavor. The toasted bun the chicken breast tenderloins were served on was also delicious. As a starter, the bread basket has some amazing "everything" toasted crackers, breadsticks in packages and some nice sliced fresh bread. The butter is nice and soft to be easily spread. The best part was that my companion told me I had to try the special potato. It is a bacon & cheese twice baked, and I have never had one done better anywhere. Try it! read more
