We had reservations at 5pm - by the time we ordered and received our food it was 5.30 - no salad due to sickness so we took the soup - when finished they tried charging all of us for the soup which came with the entree - then we were sitting there they took our bread and oil and five minutes later they asked us to leave because people were waiting - we walked out of the restaurant at 5.55pm - we always come to eat here for years - we're done no more so rude - if you want a relaxing dinner with conversation with your guest this is NOT THE place to go to read more

We have wanted to go to Gregorio's for years but finally went tonight. It was exactly as I imagined...a cozy place that feels like you are at someone's house. I have lived in the area as long as this place has existed. Always meant to try it out but never have. We finally stopped in today and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Lasagna and my wife had the Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were great! The bread that was included with the meal was tasty and soft plus the oil and herbs for dipping was very good as well. The dinner salads were nice and fresh and the House Italian dressing was good. We also had an order of the handcut Cajun fries because who can resist handcut fries??? Those were excellent as well. Two dinners plus the fries totaled $55.12 plus the tip. I'm definitely happy with that as well. There was no wait for a table and the service was prompt and professional. Our server was Camryn and she did an excellent job. What a great place!! First of all amazing service! The lady who greeted us was so warm and welcoming and told great "dad" jokes! Our server Liz was probably the best server I've ever had, you could tell she really loved her job and the food. And the food was amazing! Everyone in our group of 4 enjoyed their dinners. The food was mostly outstanding, but the olive oil used for dipping bread could use an upgrade, and the salads need to be more than basic iceberg with a few accent vegetables. The olive oil and salad composition are my only quibbles for an otherwise enjoyable meal. We ordered the broccoli puffs, fried ravioli, a pasta meat sauce, chicken parmigiano, cheesecake, and a cannoli. This was our first time dining here, but we will be back. read more

Excellent service all around! My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. Chevonne, our server, met all of our needs in a timely and amiable manner. The soup was hot and delicious, the salad ( with the outstanding house dressing) was excellent and the shrimp fettuccine left us too full to want dessert! We ordered the almond cake and a cannoli to go, and are enjoying them both now with coffee at home. My wife and I finally stopped in last Wednesday after wanting to try it for years but never being in the area during their open hours (Tuesday through Saturday 4-9). We loved it. I had the Chicken Gregorio which was fantastic as was the stuffed pepper soup. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana which she loved and the Ham and Potato soup which she said was delicious. Gregorio's is without any hesitation, the best Italian restaurant we have dined in. I am a life long spaghetti and meat sauce lover and have dined on it in many locations but never had spaghetti as good as Gregorio's. their sauce, I am told, is cooked for 12 hours and has the most unique and delicious taste. We drove to Wyandotte last evening to try Gregorio 's and it did NOT disappoint! The interior is charming and very welcoming. The wait staff were gracious, knowledgeable and attentive. They knew their dishes and made superb recommendations. We enjoyed the red house wines, the warm bread and the olive oil dipping mixture. When we first walked in the place was quite small but very romantic looking and great decor, the coolest thing in here was that they have a train on a track that rides around the whole restaurant close to the ceiling, it's really cool to watch it pass by. We were seated right away and they brought out a bread basket with oil. I will say this that the bread was very soft, moist and delectable on the inside and the crust was quite crunchy, I could eat this bread and the oil all day long. It was VERY good. I will say this that when it comes to the drink menu they do not have a big selection of liquor or mixed cocktails, in fact, they don't even have a small selection of mixed cocktails it's probably a selection of about 3 martini's, they do have a beer selection and their wine selection is huge, everything from glasses to bottles you can buy so of course I definitely went with a red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) which is was quite dry, which is exactly how I expect a red wine to be, a very flavorful wine. So, for food, I ordered the Lasagna with a Caesar salad and fried raviolis as an appetizer. The salad came out and it's actually a Garden Salad with Caesar Dressing. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was definitely different, it wasn't your normal dressing it was like it was whipped up and homemade. It was delicious and different. After that came out the Fried Ravioli and I just bit right into it not realizing how hot it was, next time I will let them cool down first, but anyways, they are very delicious, the outside is very crunchy and the cheese filing was very cheesy, you could taste the garlic, butter and a couple of other spices inside of it. A great appetizer to start with. So the lasagna got here and when I say the Pictures of the Lasagna do NOT do it justice, I mean it. The marinara sauce was savory, sweet with light sugars and just very appetizing, the meat itself was very tender and the cheese was very cheesy. Every bite was a moment to savor in your mouth and just let it melt. All in all this whole meal was very delicious and a very good place to eat, this place looks small but don't let the outside kid you. It is VERY good. The food was great, the service is amazing and the cleanliness and courtesy of the staff was very delightful. This was the BEST lasagna I have EVER had, as in EVER!!! I shouldn't say this out loud but this is better than my mothers Lasagna (shhhh!!) This is and deserves 5 star Italian restaurant that could be passed on because of its size. This particular restaurant is a throw back to a former time. The decor is cute and kitschy. However, the main star is the food. The marinara sauce has a slight bite and the pasta was al dente. What a wonderful surprise! I had driven by here a few times in the last few months and always thought it was so cute! I'm really glad to have finally been able to check it out last night. First off--just as I had suspected--it's ADORABLE. Nothing terribly fancy but really cozy. Just really quaint and warm. The service here was fantastic. Our waiter was really fun and attentive, gave us some great suggestions for eats and was helpful without being annoying. The perfect balance. The food was delicious! We kicked things off with an appetizer of fried ravioli and it was quite tasty. A great, flavorful cheese filling in a crispy shell. The dipping marinara had a nice zing to it. Really good. The bread with dipping oil was also delish. Warn bread right out of the oven served with a garlic herb dipping oil. The garlic was roasted and actually quite sweet, which was a nice surprise. I tried a bit of the main dish of this oil mixed with pasta and Italian sausage and it was really effing delicious. If you like sweet garlic, that is. The salads were standard iceberg, nothing fancy but still not bad. I ordered the gnocci as my main dish and it was fantastic. A HUGE serving topped with loads of tomato cream sauce. The sauce was fresh and had lovely chunks of tomato in it. I really enjoyed it. The crowning piece of the meal, however, was the cannoli. OH. EM. GEE. This cannoli was....amazing. A fresh, crunchy shell with a mellow, not to sweet cream with just a hint of cinnamon. Oh lawd, I had to fan myself afterward! Topped with fresh whipped cream, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce. I called a couple of hours before I went in to see if I could get reservations and romantic seating. The lady on the phone was very sweet and accommodating, and made sure it would be ready when my date and I arrived. I notified them that I had called in earlier and was the reservation for two in nice seating. She knew exactly what I was talking about, and she walked us over to the front table by the windows, decorated gorgeously with Christmas Decour, along with dim lighting and Christmas lights to sparkle. We had ordered drinks along with an appetizer. I highly recommend the meatballs, and we both ordered meals he raved about his chicken Parmesan with spaghetti, I had butternut squash, ravioli that was phenomenal and our drinks were never empty. Given the opportunity i would make this a 4.5 star review, simply because my observed indiscretions were fairly minor and the meal was delicious. I've been meaning to try Gregorio's for a long time and finally went with the intent of feasting on their Eggplant Parmesan, but it was not to be. They were out of it. I substituted with Tenderloin and mushroom risotto w/mixed veg. The house salad is mixed greens but mostly iceberg lettuce, which I detest and there is no option for Caesar Salad as they don't use Romaine. I ordered the Tenderloin medium rare and got it medium well, but can't fault the cook because the meat is only 3/8 of an inch thick and cooked on a flat top grill, which makes it impossible to get the meat to brown without overcooking it. A char broiler would be a great addition to this kitchen. I personally think it's criminal to prepare meat on a flat top, but I understand the constraints of a small kitchen. Overall the meal was delicious and presented well. Kudo's for the fresh oven baked bread served with Olive Oil and herbs for dipping. A welcome change from the baked pizza dough offerings of many establishments in the area. My advice is to replace the light EVOO with something darker that actually taste's like olives. My server was knowledgeable, polite, and attentive. My only concern is that she didn't introduce herself by name. I can't understand why servers aren't being trained to offer their name when meeting customers, but it's become a common experience. The space is clean, charming, not crowded and offers a bit of nostalgia in the form of a model train running on an elevated track around the circumference of the dining area. I'm going back! The food is delicious, and I'm looking forward to the Eggplant Parmesan. I'll have the soup this time, instead of the salad. Problem solved. Mangia! read more

It's easy to drive past this restaurant and miss it. You may think it's someone's residence. It looks like a house converted into a place to eat. Have you ever seen Fried Cheese Ravioli on a menu? Not I, so I had to try it. It was cheese ravioli lightly breaded and deep fried with warm marinara sauce. It was exactly the name of the dish. What's really nice about it is the crunchy breading on the outside, the eggy pasta ravioli, and the creamy soft cheese inside. The three combination is just right. I wish the cheese had a little more flavor. If they wanted to improve the dish I would try a stronger cheese. Their meatballs are homemade so why not try it with their Basil Pesto Fettuccine. The meatballs come in a marinara sauce so it's brought separately. They are spiced and cooked well. They are also very tender and ready for your fork to cut right through them. If you're a meat eater, I recommend getting them. The fettuccine is tender as well. The sauce is just lightly applied allowing you to taste the flavor of the noodles and the sauce. Too many place drown there pasta in sauce, but not here. Wonderfully done, they use a light hand. Don't leave without trying dessert. How about tasting their Homemade Cannoli. we split ours, but it had all the flavors and textures to complete the meal. It has sweetness from the chocolate and cream and crunch from the fried dough and chocolate chips. It's a yummy end. read more
