I bought a Groupon to try out Baldy view gymnastics for my two children. My 5yo son has autism and was overstimulated and didn't like it. My daughter (3) on the other hand absolutely loved it!! This is definitely her element. The instructors are patient and are great at redirecting her attention on them. The owner was very understanding about my son not doing well and they let him try the class twice before she transferred his credits for one month of classes over to my daughter!! I'm so happy with my experience here and their understanding. I definitely would recommend them. read more

amazing gymnastics center !! my grand daughter has been coming for over a year now in the peewee class ! we went in for a makeup day on wenesday and had the pleasure of working with coach maddie and kylie and the class was awesome the kids had a great time and were all so friendly and the coaches looked like they really enjoyed working with the kids ! we normal go on thursday 4 o'clock and the coaches who took over when coach kellly left to have her baby were just awful. they treated the kids very poorly and just looked like they didn't want to be there and one of the coaches was always hurt so if your bringing your young one in ask for class with coach maddie kylie or kelly read more

My daughter has been wanting to try gymnastics, i found this gym here on Yelp. We tried a one day class, my daughter really liked it but there was a few things that I did not like. Here are my honest thoughts. Pros- Coach was friendly, welcomed my daughter and made her feel comfortable (thank you to the young blonde girl). Prices are fair, deals for combined classes. Cons- PAID $5.00 FOR MY DAUGHTER TO TRY OUT THE CLASS (should be free, I just tried out a gym in Chino and the 1st trial class is FREE), Gym is really small/over crowded, receptionist (purple hair/tattoos) took my money and didn't acknowledge me after, after class was over no one talked to me about prices/how she did, restroom was dirty (trash needed to be taken out). read more

This place was our first choice to start gymnastics for my daughter because of the location and how quickly the enrollment process was. The most important factor was for her to have fun period. I was happy at the fact that she was having fun, but my first impression of the gym was not that great. The place is very dirty, there are the same fingerprints and hand marks on the windows and mirrors week after week. All of the mini blinds are very old and broken and the benches for spectators to sit on are very wobbly and unstable. The drinking water fountain is falling off of the wall and continues to dangle there without being removed or replaced and could fall or hurt someone. The vending machine is there but empty and out of order. It does not appear very sanitary especially throughout this pandemic. There is only one customer service worker and she always seems overwhelmed. The coaches will pay extra attention to doing their job when the owner is there. I have noticed they do not pay much attention and talk amongst themselves when the owner is not present. I was especially disappointed in how the owner dealt with a particular situation regarding my daughter and one of the coaches. The coach was very rude and singled out my daughter making her feel very bad after one of the sessions there. I was very disappointed in how the owner handled the situation. I think over all, the money that is paid by the members there does not go towards that gyms equipment or gym necessities at all whatsoever and it shows. I think the workers and coaches there need a training class to improve in their customer service skills. Very disappointed and not a great experience. My daughter has been coming here for 1 1/2 years now and LOVES it!! All the coaches seem super friendly and nice. They are all such great coaches (especially Melanie). They always have fun Halloween and Easter party celebrations that are FREE to the public. My daughter has been doing the twist and flip camp for the summer and is having a great time. Prices seem affordable (I haven't checked anywhere else). It's the closest place to home. I'm there so much now taking my daughter that it feels like a second home. Lol. My daughter has been coming here for a couple years now for group and private lessons. The coaches work very well with the children and my daughter has developed her skills steadily. The viewing area gets crowded at times, but that seems to lend credence to the overall popularity of this gym. The costs are comparatively very reasonable and the instructor to gymnast ratio is better than other gyms we've tried. We are very pleased with this gym and the friendly, welcoming staff. I took my daughter for a trial class. I'm happy they offer trials, because I would have been so angry if I had signed her up. This was an awful experience. There are too many girls to teacher ratio so my kiddo wasn't able to pick up any of the actual skill. The teachers are clearly not trained to teach children because there wasn't any control of the girls. (This is not their fault but the fault of the gymnastics center). But girls were talking over the teachers, bouncing around, basically doing whatever they wanted, and it was a very unsafe environment. The teacher didn't give skill level appropriate activities. For example, they allowed my beginner daughter to get on the high beam. This would've been okay if they had been watched, but because there's too many girls they were just jumping around on the equipment without being taught how to be safe on the equipment. I had to tell my daughter to get on the lower beam for fear she would seriously injure herself. If you want to pay for your child to play on a glorified playground then this is your place, but if you want them to actually learn a skill in a safe clean environment, this isn't a good experience. read more

The place is one huge gym room in a industrial building nearby mechanic shops. It isnt the nicest looking place. No A/C, but the trainers are excellent, the attitudes were positive. The price wasnt too bad and my child learned a lot their. It was $70/month--once a week. If youre a local and looking for a place to train, its a good spot. Love Baldy View! I did gymnastics here as a little girl, taught gymnastics here and now have my daughter here.

We have only been there once, but I felt put off by how run down and untidy the place is. The trash was full, water fountains hardly work, no heat or AC. Teachers seem ok, but while they have kids take their shoes off, the teaxhers wear shoes on the mats. This seems unsanitary, given that they walk on the mats where kids roll around and lay their faces on. Lastly, the front desk folks don't give direction or a warm welcome to newcomers. read more

I took my children to a trial class on a Saturday. The ratio was 1instructor to 14 children. The kids were all over the place. I was later told it is hard to predict how many children will show up because of trial classes. I asked if there would be an additional instructor the following Saturday. I was told no... So if you sign up for classes at this gym, the ratio won't be consistent and how much will they really learn? They could solve the ratio problem if they prebooked their trial classes. Maybe the real issue is they need more instructors.. Who knows.. read more

Their policy of 8 students per instructor is not followed- I've seen as many as 11 students per instructor this summer in the 9:30 a.m. class. (Pee-Wee's- ages 3-6.) The instructors do their best, but it's got to be very difficult to teach that many students at once. The facility is also pretty run down and needs some updating. read more

This place smells like feet. It is disorganized and the lady at the front desk is grouchy. I will not continue with lessons for my daughter here as there are too many students per teacher and half the time it seems as if my child is wandering without any real instruction. my daughter has been going there for the past 4 years. She loves it and adores her coach. Yes its a bit sore on the eyes, what it really needs is a goof cleaning and paint job. But it is a small business that doesnt rely on corperate for make overs. Their prices are extremly resonable and there are a handful of great coaches and a few that are"ok" . I have never had a problem with the management in fact anytime I saw my daughter being bullied management stepped in right away to stop that behavior. They promote a positive enviroment. We will continue to attend BVG unitl my daughter decides this is no longer the sport for her. read more

Bridgette is in the front office and she is really sweet, welcoming, and helpful. She makes everyone feel welcomed and she provides all the information someone should know upon registering their young ones for class. Allison is an instructor for the smaller girls and she is truly great at what she does. She is patient, caring and really wants the little ones to have fun in her class. The staff is awesome. I recommend this place to anyone who wants their children to grow and learn now things while having fun in the process! We'll be back! read more

My kids love Baldy View. It is in an industrial park, but most gyms are set up like this. They have good equipment and lots of activities for little kids. We have participated in weekly toddler and preschool classes. The gymnastics camp during the summer is a big hit with my kids too. Ms. Allison is our favorite instructor. She does a great job keeping all the kids busy with stations they can do on their own, and she gives each of them individual attention to help them improve. Climbing the rope is a favorite - they feel excited and more confident when they can finally get to the top and ring the bell. They also love trampoline time when they get it. They seem to have more classes for boys than they used to have. I love that the City of Upland offers classes and camp here too. I think Montclair and Claremont do also. Try it! The kids have a blast. read more

I am giving 4 STARS for how I feel about my daughter attending this place and her interaction with the instructors. they all seem nice and attentive to the kids ( my daughter is 3). the place is a little run down and not so clean, but I accepted that. the prices are reasonable ( affordable). I also like that you can have make up classes. they also offer a free trial class for just 5 dollars! HOWEVER, if it wasn't for my neighbor's recommendation of this place, I would have NOT enrolled my daughter in this class. I called and was told that I should bring my daughter for a trial class. When I showed up, Janine was at the desk. when I asked how I can enroll my daughter, she did not tell me absolutely anything. Did not even offer a brochure with info about prices etc. which was right on her desk. I found her being rude, feeling like she was bored to answer my questions, barely making any eye contact with me, and having a 'looking down at me' attitude. I guess she can afford that since, I see here, that she's the owner. I am by no means a picky customer, I myself work with the public and I could never provide this awful service to others. Even if I wouldn't feel it some day, I would make an effort to be nice and informative, especially for new people walking into my business. with all this said, I hope, Janine, you'll be nicer and more informative in the future at least to new customers. read more

I started coming here for the adult class that is once a week, but had to stop because they changed the hours which conflicted with my scheduling. Being a gymnast for 12 years prior, I was very excited to get back into things. It was great because I was given an outlet to do what I love, but the environment was not too great. The place is not very clean and for someone actually trying to learn gymnastics, there is no real coaching. For open gym this place is good, but anything more is a waste. read more

I stopped in to check the place out and was not impressed. It seemed dingy, there was no one at the desk when classes were changing, and when I saw the staff member she looked annoyed so I didn't even want to talk to her. I observed the 3-6 year old class and they spend much of the time sitting on a beam on the floor waiting for their turn to do the circuit. The teacher was not animated or engaging or inviting. Last night was my 5 y/o daughters first time in a gymnastics class; she had been bugging about being in gymnastics for a few months now. It just so happened that my other daughter's karate studio moved next door to BVG. So we decided to give it a try last night (same night & time as karate, that's a plus) and she absolutely loved it. The lady at the front desk was very nice and informative. Maybe some people (like another reviewer) were scared of her cute pink/purple hair and tattoos...but she was sweet as a cup cake. The front desk girl took my very shy daughter by the hand and led her to the class. The instructor welcomed my daughter and began. I really thought this was just going to be "tumbling", but it was a whole variety of things. Very exciting for my daughter, she loved it. My favorite thing about this place is that the whole "gym" is in open view through a long window which as parent makes me feel very comfortable that I see all that is going on w my child. The instructors were patient, play full & always giving kudos to each child. My daughter and I loved it so much I signed her right away. Can't wait to see what she can do in a few months... :) Oh, and I didn't count the ratio of kids per instructor, but it was well organized enought to pay each child special attenion. We have been coming here now for a little over 3 months. My daughter is 3 1/2 so we have only experienced their pee wee classes but we have loved them. My daughter looks forward to coming to class every time, and all of the instructors are amazing with the kids. Baldy View gymnastics is a great studio for children to learn proper technique, balance, skills, and to fall in love with the sport.

Started bringing my daughter to the pee wee class. She is truly enjoying it and i am very happy about that. Their instructor is really interactive with the kids and keeps them busy but does not communicate at all with the parents. i wanted to know how my daughter was doing and she just nodded her head. The place is very small and always HOT. If there is no AC at least invest in some fans in each room. The inside of the gym where the gymnast practice is good, but not the parent seating; there is always ants by the windows and all their chairs are dirty and black. They need to do a better job at keeping the place clean, because every parent is paying for the full nice experience. I wish the owner would take that into consideration, instead of brushing it under the rug in all the other reviews. Overall, i will continue to bring my daughter here until i find a place that is cleaner unless they change something about that; i would love that because then it will be a great place to see my daughter grow. read more

Both of my daughters attend gymnastics here. The instructors are great with little kids. My girls look forward to going every week, and the instructors make each class fun and a little different by incorporating different drills each week. My daughter has been training with Baldy View for over 3 years and she absolutely loves it. My daughter is now a part of the competition team, and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Sure, Saturdays can be a bit crowded but I would attribute that to the fact that this gym invites children in for additional practice during their "open gym". I don't see this as a bad thing at all.
