So...The instructors are awesome w the kids. Its fun and engaging. The kids get rewards at the end of their gymnastics practice. Price for 4 sessions a month is reasonable. Its sort of a place where kids can go when they are serious about gymnastics. The older kids compete. I took my daughter when she was about 3. It IS also a workout for the parents (don't get in the foam pit for any reason). I'd say a con is the toddler class was crowded and the building is really hot in the summer. Sometimes I wasnt able to get a seat to watch the class. Would I have my kiddo in again, yes but not in the summer and not on a busy class day. read more

Do not bring your children here. I've not just been a bystander. Ive grown up in gyms all my life and have never seen managers/ coaches who are physically and verbally abusive. I honestly don't know how people still bring their kids here. I don't know why they make their kids stay. I don't know how they're still in business. Coaches curse at kids, threaten, and the owners allow it all. The owners partake. Not just the older kids, even the 5/6 year olds. Please go anywhere else. I've seen these kids spirits be broken. I've enrolled my kid here, but have seen several instances that concern me about staying here. Some of the trainers have been very rude to some of the kids and not in a coaching way. I can understand being stern with the kids to get them to accomplish the task, but I have seen some of the coaches be outright mean. The other day there was a younger male red headed coach that yelled "are you stupid" at one of the kids. Then shortly after he got frustrated with another kid while stretching and ran over and forcefully pushed the kid down into the stretch. Again I understand being stern and instilling discipline, but this was just anger and frustration and unacceptable. If this happened to my kid we would no longer be attending. read more

I have a mixed review of this facility. The Mighty Mites class (walking-3yrs) was great in some aspects, but lacking in others. The coach to student ratio was unsafe most classes and sometimes when it was extra crowded they would try to split the class between two coaches (which would be great) but the second coach usually seemed like a coach that wasn't as trained as the main coach and or was a younger student from another class (a young teen most times) who showed a lack of experience working with young babies/toddlers. There just wasn't enough support/organization for a large class size with babies/toddlers and that shouldn't fall on the coach but on the management. Thursday evening classes would have upwards of 12-15 walking-3yr olds. Coach Alyssa, who coached our Mighty Mites class, was wonderful! We loved her, my daughter loved her (and that's saying a lot because she's very observant and doesn't warm up to people quickly). She understood how to work with littles in the age range of our class and she was skilled in her teaching. I often felt bad for her as she tried to manage the large class size and would look for others to help her with the class (I felt like that shouldn't fall on her to pull students/coaches to help, but on management to either cap the class and or provide her with a partner). All in all, if I were rating Coach Alyssa, I'd give her 5 stars. My major issues/disappointment came with front desk staff and management. We came to class once a week for a couple of months and not once walking in/out were we ever greeted in the lobby by front desk staff. They were busy helping students/parents (which is fine when busy) or the lobby would be empty sometimes but they had their heads down and didn't even look up. That's just bad business practice. My first class I went to the front desk to check in/figure out what to do/where to go/who to speak to. They were short and not welcoming. They pointed and told me about the facility (from behind walls) where the bathroom was, to go to the waiting area and a coach will call out class name. Nobody physically showed me around and it's very chaotic inside and can be very intimidating. If I didn't have the personality type to not be bothered by the chaos and not hesitate to stop others to ask questions, I would have been really frustrated and lost (and even with those skills I was slightly frustrated and I did get lost, but found my way). There was minimal communication to students/parents about anything going on with the gym. For the holidays they had a piece of paper with printed closure dates posted on the door (which I appreciate) but there was no email or text sent out to students/parents about it, nobody at the front desk would stop parents to kindly let them know, and no announcements from coaches during class. It's chaotic in the gym (which I am not complaining about, it's a sports gym with a lot of classes going on at the same time, I expect controlled chaos) BUT especially when you have tiny littles that you're trying to keep out of the way of other students/classes and corral safely to your car after class, a printed announcement on a door is not always accessible/noticeable. I've never had a business with any kind of classes NOT send emails or automated or personal texts with announcements and have coaches/teachers announce, and or have front desk staff remind people as they enter/exit. When I had questions about classes/closures/make ups front desk staff was short and I had to ask follow up questions for clarification. I referred friends who signed up multiple children and they were treated horribly. They asked about make ups and communicated that they understood the policy, but wanted to ask if there were any exceptions. A simple "I'm sorry, we have to stick to policy" or something along those lines would have been sufficient. Instead they were met with phone calls and texts where they engaged in a yelling match with management/front desk shaming them for all the things they didn't do to help themselves (and to almost every single point, they actually had done those things), pulling the "I've been doing this for x amount of years" and "I have x amount of moms who would vouch for this place" very unprofessional, and downright rude behavior from staff. When they wrote a review of their experience, staff responded by text blasting and bullying them trying to get them to take it down/edit it. I'm disgusted by the behavior of the front desk/management. And for that reason, pulled my child from the gym. It was made clear that it's strictly about the money and not about the people. And no, that doesn't mean I expect concessions or exceptions, I don't expect it, but I don't see any harm in asking, and I would stay and support a business that accommodated their clients OR politely said no. I can't support a business that is rude, shames, blames, and bandwagons "happy clients" to bully someone and dismiss their negative experience. read more

If you're thinking about putting your son in gymnastics, look elsewhere. There's a horrific instructor that is physically abuse and yells at the boys. These are 7 and 8 year olds and he screams in their face and makes them cry. He presses down on them even when they're obviously in pain. Then he turns and smiles at the parents like a psychopath. He's not being a "tough" coach, he gets off on bullying those children. I'm surprised they even have a boys team anymore. read more

Great coaches here with attention to detail. they are patient and give my daughter encouragement when she is learning a new skill. Some skills can be scary such as up on the high beam, but they take the time to spot and use mats to make her feel safe. When she finally does it on her own, her self confidence grows and her coaches cheer her on. My daughter has learned so much here and has improved in all her skills. She loves the girls that she's made friends with too. My daughter says it's "very fun." Today she did a standing, triple back handspring! The staff works with us on our schedule too because of her school hours, so we are very appreciative of that. read more

I love this gym. The bathrooms and facilities are always so clean. I feel extremely safe even during the pandemic. The coaches are all so talented and really challenge the students so they can grow. Their toddler class is $100 per month for two classes per week. I have two toddlers but am only available to take them once per week. I emailed to ask if they could accommodate for the $100 to cover just one class for each kid. They responded stating that they can't do that because it's really $100 per kid for one weekly class, and the second class is just a bonus. Doesn't really make sense and certainly not worth it to spend $200 a month to let my toddlers run around a gym for one hour a week. I would think as the owners of the gym they could have offered a sibling discount or other alternative. read more

Our son has been very well coached for a few months now by Daniel and Jason. He has learned so much, and we are very thankful for what he has learned. However, we decided today to quit this gym and competitive team because of how insensitive the ownership is. My six year old was broken hearted to leave his team, but even through his tears, he said exactly this: "Mom, listen to me. Don't you pay that lady any more money at all ever. She should not have been mean to you." As a father and husband, I can't see the wisdom of paying several hundred dollars per month so someone can be rude to my family--so rude and uncaring, in fact, that a six year old can see that it's inappropriate. read more

My child looks forward to going here and is learning a lot, but the instructors who wear the black Sokol gymnastics shirts are not very nice. I get this is more of a serious gym but these are little kids they're working with and yelling at them. It seems if you sign up with the actual gym then those instructors are very nice, but if you sign up through the city they are rude. It was also brutally hot in there during the class. After six months we pulled our 6yr old out of here. I can go on and on about why we didn't like this place but can really best sum it up as this: the management is lazy and has poor time management skills; they simply refuse to run their A/C in the summer and insist "open doors" create a breeze when its 95 out; and treat it as a business rather than something they are passionate about. More than once I saw (who I think was the owner) having some pretty concerning emotional breakdowns. The "Summer Show" we went to see was 45min late to start, and basically the same practice session we always saw but with music and participation medals. (Parent seating is limited and so arrive early if you want a seat while your children practice.) The male instructors are fit and excellent but the female ones, not so much. A few were simply incapable of performing the routine they were teaching and it limited our daughters ability to understand what was expected of her. Anytime she had a male instructor she left more happy and satisfied. Finally, we went a few blocks away to another gym and our girl has done better in one month there than the six at Diamond Elite. The instructors there have impressive resume's and our daughter loves her gymnastics time now. We met other parents there with the same experience. Save your money and frustration - go elsewhere. read more

First off - let me begin by saying the my child is a toddler (3yrs old) and NOT eligible (obviously) for any of the cheer teams or gynmastics teams that this gym has for competitions. Unfortunately, I can not comment on anything for older kids - hopefully after this review gets posted - others will come forward who can offer opinions for older kids. Anyway - compared to the typical 'mommy and me' gymnastic classes - the sessions at Diamond Gym are pretty hard core - and, suprisingly, my daughter absolutely loves it. Im still right by her side in her class - but the skills and challenges they are learning are fun and more complex. The toddlers are put to task jumping, running, climbing, diving into the foam pit, balancing on the beam, hanging on the rings and bars, etc. I am not used to the super-busy gym environment yet... its like a giant 10-ring circus with all the classes going on at the same time. The front office staff is hit-and-miss. One particular person I met with was extremely nice and helpful and another lady was a completely rude grouch. Im not quite certain of the qualifications of the 'coach' or 'teacher' of the class... I dont know if they are CPR trained, first aid trained, etc. Im only mentioning this because the 'mommy and me' toddler gyms really stress the fact that they are trained. I would like to add that this particular gym offers a weekly 2 hour 'Open Gym' for $10 - where anyone can come in and use the equipment. read more

Love the gym! Coaches are great! It seems a bit chaotic at first but the kids don't seem to get distracted. They are used to it. They have tables so parents can do work. Unfortunately for me, I get there at a busier than most time and many parents sit at tables but don't don't really need them thus making those who need to work at laptops stuck working at their chair only. Maybe a sign would be nice stating that if you are sitting at a table, you should be using the table. This is not a bad reflection of the gym however, the fact that they provide parents with tables and chairs is great! My daughter is really happy here. Glad I enrolled her. read more

I've taken boot camp classes at this location, my daughter was previously enrolled in gymnastics and have also taken my kids for the Friday night open gym. Really crowded to the point of being chaotic. Hadn't gone there in a while until a few weeks ago when I dropped my kids off for the Friday night open gym. The guy collecting the cash money was not personable at all and the receptionist was very rude when I asked if they take credit cards. She didn't even bother to hide her annoyance and even uttered words loud enough for me to hear, how it's gonna cost them extra to run the card, blah, blah, blah. Crappy service, didn't feel welcomed at all and gym area is like a circus. Overpriced for what it is. Wouldn't recommend. read more

My son has been a member of Diamond Elite Gymnastics since he was 2 years old, and a member of the Boys' Team since he was 6 years old. He is now 18 years old, and a freshman in college up in Washington. I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for the owners, coaches, and staff at this gym. They, along with the sport of gymnastics, have taught my son valuable life lessons that he will carry with him for the rest of his life...the intrinsic value of working hard toward a goal, time management, how to overcome the disappointment of failure, turning failure into success, the importance of being part of a team, and the ethics of good sportsmanship. My kids started in 2016 and quit after a year. Coaches are not that bad, except that a few of them talk too much, not really paying attention to the kids. Also, some of them didn't appear to be qualified to coach gymnastics. Facility is a little old, not as clean as most parents would prefer, somewhat smelly, and very HOT INSIDE (please turn A/C on!) As others have indicated, the management/ownership is the real problem here. Don't need to share the details here, but the office staff are very rude, especially the owner. She talks very condescendingly to parents and it happened to us too. Also, it's all about money here. I understand this is not a non-profit organization, but the elevated level of greed explicitly shown by the owner is overwhelming. One time, my kids were kicked out of the gym because we were late on payment by a couple of days. That was after a year of continuous payment with no late payments. One simple mistake and they don't let your kids in the gym. They have all kinds of ridiculous fees, trying to nickel and dime you. They say the winter showcase is mandatory, asking you to participate and buy leotards; however, it's not really mandatory. It's just another way of getting extra money. Despite all this, we still had a difficult decision to make because the kids needed to go to another gym and start over, but looking back now, I think we made a good decision. Not sure how this facility can sustain with such an inconsiderate owner running the place. Think twice about enrolling your kids here. My daughter has been coming here for 5 weeks now! She loves it but every time we enter the facility, it SMELLS SO BAD!!! LIKE SOUR FEET!!! So nasty! I don't know how often they clean or disinfect the place, but it's seriously so gross! The kids go bare foot in here and get all sweaty jumping around so I'm sure their sweaty feet don't help! My 6 year old daughter loves it hear. The coaches are really good with kids and experienced. It is tough when it's crowded to find a place to sit and yes it gets hot and sometimes smells. I have both my boys enrolled in the Trampoline/Tumbling class and they seem to enjoy themselves. I can usually gauge my kids' affinity for a sports activity by whether or not they complain before they go. They play flag football, baseball, basketball, and particpate in art classes. I don't think I have ever heard a complaint about their class and they are always very eager to attend. I think the classes are fun and they start and end at their specified times. I do have issues with the receptionsist at the front counter. Although the billing statement I receive in the mail asks: "Please drop in and see our friendly front office staff," just like Valerie H. stated, it is hit or miss. For example, on Day 1 my son and I showed up a little early and advised the receptionist that my son was here for his first free class. We were told to sit and wait for the instructor to greet us. 15 minutes after the class started, we were still sitting there as the 70 or so other kids particpated in their respective classes. Upon advising the receptionist that my son was still waiting, she walked us to the edge of the mat, pointed to a group about 40 yards away and told my son to walk over there and introduce himself. Well, since my son is only 9 and the facility was filled with people and activity, it was no wonder that he was intimidated to walk across the floor, locate the correct instructor, and introduce himself. I would have found it more appropriate for the receptionist to take the extra step and escort my son across the floor. Lazy and unfriendly is how I would characterize the receptionist. My next complaint is their billing practices. I am actually a month ahead of payments but I constantly receive billing statements that do not reflect my payments. In fact, SCATS continues to assess me a late fee for a payment that was made on time. All I can say is that their billing department has no clue as to what has or has not been paid. I think this has to do with the automated computer-generated bills that they spit out. They are very inaccurate. Oh, and I've stopped calling because no one answers the phone and my calls are never returned when I leave a message. At this point, I will have to go down there myself and reconcile the situation (grandpa usually takes the kids to class). Why do I continue to keep my kids enrolled? It's because they enjoy themselves and I am willing to suck up the headache for them. I hope my comment helps someone out there. read more

I have had my daughters attending this gym for over five years. They enjoyed it and while VERY crowded it seems to function. My eldest is no longer attending (dedicate more time to schoolwork), but my youngest still attends and loves it. She attends for recreation so I can't speak to their competition program. Not inexpensive but worth it to me. Would appreciate more tables and/or signs asking people to leave the tables to those of us who use it. I take my 2yo son 10:30 - 12:30 for free-play ($5.00). He runs, jumps, balances, plays with others at full-throttle for 2hrs and when he is done he takes a nice long nap once we get home. Amount of kids there in this large establishment is anywhere from 30 to 50 (from the 3x we went). If you have time, take your child here, mostly children about kindergarden age and down, with a few older kids to help out the staff. Highly recommended!!!! read more

This is an excellent gym for athletes at all levels. The coaches are dedicated and highly competent, and they put a lot of energy into helping the kids to achieve at a high level. The staff and owner are passionate about gymanstics and about kids, and will go out of their way to be helpful, if you talk to them. My kids are on the competitive team, and we are very happy. The negative reviews you see on Yelp are likely from families who have limited experience with gymanstics training and facilities. Sokol is run better than most, and their results are consistently excellent. My kids have been in gymanstics for 5 years, so my opinion is based on experiences at a number of other gyms. My daughter came here and was unhappy. The coaches have mad looks on their faces. Not friendly. I see the older groups get yelled at by the man and woman coaches and I've seen the looks on the kids faces and I feel bad for them. I don't understand how parents would allow this to happen to their kids. It's not worth going here if the self esteem is gonna be affected. My daughter told me she didn't want to go here anymore because she felt invisible and would cry after class about how upset it made her that she wasn't getting any help from her couches and they weren't very kind. I immediately stopped bringing her here. We moved to Winners Academy and she's been there now for 2 months and she couldn't be happier! She's learned more in 2 months than she did in the 6months she went to Diamond Elite. She takes Gymnastics and also joined a Hip Hop Dance class. She loves her staff and coaches! They treat everyone equally and make you feel at home. This is what you should expect when paying people to teach your kids! read more

Do not give them your business. When I was involved in an accident (9/4/2010) where I injured my neck, I was removed from the foam pit by my arms by the trainer, causing irreparable damage. After being told to stretch it out (causing further damage), I was told I couldn't leave without signing a contract not to sue. I was in shock and needed emergency medical attention and so I signed so I could leave and take myself to the hospital. I was admitted to the ICU with a broken neck and had to have reconstructive surgery. Had I been given the proper medical attention, I would have been fine ~ but the swelling and tearing that occurred during the time between the injury and the time I was admitted into the hospital (12 hours), so much damage was done. When I asked for financial aid from their insurance or any form of assistance, the manager yelled at me, told me not to expect any help and refused to give me their lawyers information. I was afraid to sue, so I didn't. Now, I'm here 4 years later, with chronic pain, severe depression, and no case because I waited to long to sue. Do not go there. Their incompetence can and get you seriously injured or killed. read more
