Trails right outside to walk, are abundant and also very nice as you walk thru the park right there/golf course. Different sized Rooms make up assisted living (AL) --studio, 1 BR, 2 BR. Memory care (MC) only has 2 sizes of studios--385 and 520 sq feet. The views you have contribute to the price as well. They also have Assisted Living with their Essentials support, provides a bridge between AL and MC. Food is pretty nice. Heritage week was being offered where unique foods from other areas around the world were being featured. Service was pretty great. Kind, compassionate when talking to residents. Beautiful set-up with dishes being offered on display as you walk in. Love the front desk team. All super nice and energetic. Very knowledgable and helpful. A nice sized theater for movies. From the moment we walked into Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care (CHAL), we knew it was special. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff truly seemed to care about the residents. My aunt moved in about a year ago, and it was a huge adjustment - she had been living independently and had no plans to move. The team at CHAL went above and beyond to help her settle in and feel comfortable in her new home. They were patient, kind, and always took the time to make sure she was doing okay. Now, a year later, she's happy and thriving. She enjoys the staff and the beautiful facility. It's such a relief knowing she's well cared for and surrounded by people who genuinely care about her. We're so grateful to everyone at CHAL for making what started as a stressful transition into such a positive experience. I can't recommend them enough!

The reason why I hadn't gotten her into her own "apartment" or facility, is because of what my mind thought an assisted living facility was going to be. I didn't want my Grandmother to be in a place that wasn't well maintained, or where the staff were abusive in any way etc etc. All the horror stories that one hears about pertaining to elder care facilities. Well, The Granville is ANYTHING but! From the second we toured the location right before the pandemic, I was put at ease. The residents seemed happy, the entire place was decorated just beautifully and extremely clean, and the staff was just so nice! It really felt like home! The help and expertise that they provided to me in getting my Grandmother approved was also a Godsend, because all of the paperwork can be tricky for someone not familiar! My Grandmother's apartment was just so lovely too! She was able to decorate it how she wanted, and there is a little kitchenette area with a fridge and microwave so she can have her favorite snacks. She has been there over a year now and I couldn't have asked for a better location to have provided the utmost care during the pandemic. They even took the necessary precautions one week ahead of time before the Government shut everything down. To accommodate all the residents who now were unfortunately unable to leave their rooms, must have been such an undertaking!! But the staff still made my Grandmother and the other residents not feel neglected and forgotten about. Making little crafts and spending a little more time with the residents so they didn't feel so alone during this scary time. They went above and beyond making sure everyone was kept safe and stayed healthy and just did an incredible job and am so grateful to everyone at The Granville. I could go on and on about the staff being just perfect and everything I could have ever hoped for, for my Grandmother. If you have a loved one and you are feeling apprehensive about locating a place where you can rest easy at night knowing they're being cared for properly and with respect, then look no further. My Grandmother absolutely LOVES living at The Granville! She has made friends, still has her independence and adores the staff! Since dad moved in I have had to move about 60 miles away and I would love to have him closer, but I haven't found any other facility that can match the Granville. For me, the drive is more than worth it to have him live here. The Granville is always clean, the employees are warm and friendly, activities are available, the meals nutritious, meds are accurate and the apartments wonderful. Since dad has lived here they have spent money on capital improvements to keep the facility in top shape and comfortable for their residence. But the Libby Bortz Center is very good in their care. I felt guilty during at that time, but I just sold my home in Five Points and moved south to Littleton so my mom would more be more safe and I know friends that can take care of her while I'm at work. But the center is excellent in its care and also designed for people with low to moderate incomes and your timing has to spot on to get a temporary room. You will see an older TV in the room on my photo - it did have a remote control with it.

He says this is his home now and he will never leave until the end. This is a beautiful clean facility that does not smell like many other senior homes. A month after moving into his room he had to have Open Heart Surgery. His motivation was the loved he had already received in his "new family at Libby Bortz". The love and amazing care given made him recover faster to get home. The staff sent him cards and called to see how he was doing. I could have never imagined a place to take such good care of my dad. Every Friday they come in and clean his room and take his laundry to be cleaned. They strip the bed and put clean sheets on the bed. When I say they clean, they really clean thoroughly. The pictures, blinds everything is spotless. Then the clothes are returned and folded very nicely. In the dining room they are given assigned seating which my dad loves as it feels like a family. The food is always delicious and the wait staff treats him very special. They make sure all are accounted for at meals which means a lot to our family. He is given a snack at bedtime so it is just more love given to check that he is doing fine. They have activities daily which he likes to attend including exercise class. They do it all from haircuts to a foot clinic and a in home doctors group comes in every few weeks. Libby Bortz is a shining example of what senior care should look like. Infact, they should be the model for our country. It shows how good management and a good price point can bring together people to love our seniors as they age. Aging with dignity and love is this wonderful facility.

When I look at the reviews on this page, I would say these WERE accurate, however, they have new leadership and subsequently, the service has significantly declined. - Staff are leaving left and right. Outside of front desk staff, you'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful of staff who have been there longer than 2 years. And honestly, the reason most of the residents haven't left is because it's just so hard of an adjustment moving elders. But many families and residents have shared their concerns in whispered conversations. - Leaks throughout the building but mostly on the second floor, which have resulted in mold and leaks to the first floor multipurpose room. - A whirlpool that is a selling point but has hardly, if ever worked. - Ignored emails or calls from concerned families. Or responses from leadership that are brash. - Someone else already mentioned in their review the front desk staff who don't acknowledge/speak to people -- that's guests and residents alike (why would onsite leadership be okay with that?). - All of this while prices have consistently been increasing. The final straw was Garden Plaza recently came under new ownership -- Life Care Centers of America. Name sounds familiar? Maybe because they were ground zero for elder deaths at the beginning of COVID. A five second Google search will tell you everything else you need to know. Here are the most notable legal actions against the company: 1. Medicare & TRICARE Fraud ($145 Million Settlement with Dept. of Justice where concerned employees were the initial whistleblowers) - Oct. 2016 2. Wage and Overtime Class Actions -- 2015-2020 3. Patient Abuse and Neglect Verdicts -- 2022 & 2024 4. Employment Discrimination -- 2024-2025 & active investigations in 2026 Garden Plaza is the Independent Living side and The Bridge at Garden Plaza is the Assisted Living side. Now most of these lawsuits are related to skilled nursing (aka assisted living or rehab), but the point still remains that this is who now OWNS Garden Plaza, coupled with lackluster onsite leadership.

It is convenient to shopping (right next door to Target!) grocery stores, restaurants, department stores and other specialty shops in The Gardens on Havana. The rent is reasonable and includes several amenities: utilities, garbage pickup, twice monthly light housekeeping service, wifi, coffee bar, concierge service, fitness room and maintenance. The Bella Vita Community offers many activities for residents: game groups such as Wii Bowling, Mexican Train Dominos, Bingo, Pictionary and others. Movie night is every Friday evening in our new movie room. We have resident committees to provide input on all aspects of our community. Guest speakers are arranged to visit to provide the latest info relevant to Seniors. Birthdays are celebrated monthly, donuts are available on Mondays and our community director sees that treats are available a few times a month. We also have a resident lead Book Club, Bible Study, Coloring Club as well as happy hours and socials. We have the best view of fireworks on the Fourth of July on our third floor deck.
