I was honestly hesitant to post this review, but I want everyone to know the truth... This is my second time visiting Bali Bar Nails &Spa since recently moving to the Omaha area. On my very first visit, I only got a pedicure with gel polish added to the service. I was satisfied with the pedicure, but the polish application was poor. I told myself it was manageable because I was going on vacation the very next day. However this time I decided to go on Saturday, April 8th for a self care day. I was satisfied with the pedicure. The scrub and massage are absolutely phenomenal each time. As far as the manicure, I don't see myself ever getting that service again. My nails were not soaked, cuticles we not addressed or pushed back either. My nails were just filed down with a single drop of cuticle oil, and buffed in preparation for the gel polish application. When it comes to cutting down nails, and polish application, the employees seem to struggle greatly. I am writing this review Tuesday April 11th to show what my nails look like 3 days after having them done. Streaks and bubbles can be seen on my nails, as well as bare nail where the gel polish was not applied over the entire nail . You can also see similar streaks in my toes nails, coupled with a crooked shape. I am very disappointed. After paying $111 for both services, I would expect this to last for at least 2 weeks. However, I am left with no choice but to remove this monstrosity of gel polish, and attempt to straighten my toe nails out myself. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice finished product, however if you just need a massage and scrub, I recommend. read more

Last Friday, I spent 2 hours and $120 before tip for an Ocean mani-pedi at Bali Bar Nails. The girl spent an exorbitant amount of time massaging my legs for the pedicure. Finally she started my manicure, which was included in the price, but when I asked for shellac $15 was added to the bill. After 1 hour and 55 min. had passed, I informed her that I had to leave in 5 min. as I had another appointment. She quickly finished my mani and massaged my arms, which I didn't need. Five days later, the manicure is peeling off and my nails look terrible. I am going to have to get them redone somewhere else. My mani-pedi was supposed to come with a pina colada drink too, but I was never offered one of those. I don't know how this place earned Best of Omaha. They weren't friendly, spoke Vietnamese to each other constantly and did not try to interact with the clients. I'll never be back! read more

It's disheartening writing this review as I have been a loyal customer at Bali nails for sometime now, I sent everyone I knew there but I can say confidently as of today they have lost my business forever. The last couple times I've been in for a dip manicure I was tossed between a few different employees each time including the owner, having to re-explain what I wanted done to my nails that day. I honestly just thought man they are really busy and tried to be understanding. But this last time not even a week ago the same thing happened. By the time my nails were finished they weren't done well, the dip and clear coat were on my skin causing a peeling only 4 days later. Not thinking anything of it I called today to make an appt to get the one nail fixed since it was within the week of getting them done I figured it wouldn't be an issue. I made the time to drive there even got there early for my appt. I sat and waited my turn on the couch as I heard the nice sweet girl who worked the front let them know I was waiting along with another two people waiting for their nails as well. I heard the owner say to tell me they didn't have time to fix my nail and to come back a different day! The receptionist came back up front to relay the information to me even though I heard what was said. I was frustrated they couldn't make time to fix a nail that really was because of the poor quality job they did only 5 days previously. I said I'm sorry but are you kidding? I made an appt to come in, you guys told me 6:30 so I assumed it was set. She went back to the owner reiterating that I had made an appt, again the owner said sorry too bad we don't have time. I'm sorry, how do you not have time for a five minute fix? I was honestly baffled! I can't honestly remember having this bad of a customer experience before in my life. Luckily I went to a different salon who got me in immediately despite how busy they were. I was out the door with a fixed nail within 6 minutes. I typically don't write reviews but I felt very mistreated by a company I have spent a lot of money with and think people should know who they are doing business with. My roommate and I decided to start the day by going and getting pedicures. We choose the holiday special which was good. However my roommate got a chuck of her foot scraped off and I got cut twice on my foot. Obviously this makes the pedicure unpleasant. Went here today for a pedicure with two friends! We planned to come in around 11, but when we called around 10:00 they told us we should come in now because they weren't busy. We arrived around 10:30 and our pedicures were started around 10:45. The water was nice and warm and the massage chairs were fabulous! Everything seemed super sanitary. The tools were in plastic bags that they opened right in front of us. In the past when I've gotten pedicures with friends we've been separated but we were able to sit next to each other which was nice. They also had a ton of colors to pick from. I can't remember the name of the lady that did my nails but she did a fabulous job, and my friends nails looked amazing as well. We will definitely be coming back. read more

The whole thing cost me over $100 - and I WALKED OUT WITHOUT REMOVAL OF MY OLD SHELLAC OR NEW POLISH...? So essentially just a hand massage and trim. Also they were pissed I was there, but I scheduled it! They only did one coat of color when they thought I wasn't paying attention. At that point I was just sorry I every strayed from my usual place. It was a pretty awful experience. The first girl made me bleed. The next girl was ok... BUT They don't soak your cuticles before working on them. Worst manicure of my life and their chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. You are sitting on a stool and have to lean across a huge granite counter top and under plexi glass. My cuticles look horrible and were not done properly. The pedicure was decent, but the drain smelled really bad and was really loud when they drained the water. Unfortunately no one really spoke good english and so it was hard to communicate my frustrations. Sad because I live close by and would have loved for this to be my go to spot. read more

They accept walk ins, however I suggest calling to make an appointment. Love the option for drinking while being pampered. However, the chairs to get manicures in are so uncomfortable. I've been several times. Twice I've had to go back in to get a nail redone because it broke within the first few days. One of these times I called to see if they had availability that night to fix one nail. They said yes come in in 20 minutes. Got there, got seated, waited about 10 minutes, and they told me that they actually don't have time for me and to come back the next day. To be honest I live really far from this place but we picked it because they offered alcohol. It's just a nice added bonus to have a drink while getting your feet rubbed. Amiright? When you enter, there's a cute little bar and reception area where you pick your color and your drink before you enter the main salon. The salon is laid out nicely. There's a giant nail bar in the middle to get your mani's done and pedicure stations lining the outer walls. Nice chairs. If you go by yourself there's a giant stuffed panda getting it's nails done to keep you company. When you sit down for a pedi they give you a menu which details how long and what is in each package and the price, which I really like. I got the deluxe pedicure, which lasts 35 minutes, included orange slices (not to eat) and a hot stone massage. It was delightful, relaxing and my nails turned out great. I went to this place with three wonderful ladies. Three of us were really satisfied with our mani's and pedi's one was not so satisfied with her manicure. It seems they really like to up-sell you on the shellac. Drink prices are very reasonable too. $1.50 for a bud light, cheaper than a real bar and more relaxing, I would definitely make the trip again. read more

I went in for a mani/pedi because I saw that they were offering a $35 special. I was probably given the bare minimum when it came to both of my treatments. The man that did them was rude and did not even offer me a "free drink" as advertised. I think my manicure lasted about 10 min, and the polish started chipping the very next day. Then when I went to pay, I discovered that they charged me an extra $5 to remove my shellac polish. I will never return to this establishment. I would rather go down the street to Maple and pay a little more, and receive the adequate treatment and services that I pay for. read more

This was my first visit to the Bali Bar, and overall I had a GREAT experience and would highly recommend this place! A friend and I booked 11:30 pedi appointments on a Saturday, and were ushered to our chairs right away. Once seated we were offered a menu of beverages to select from, soda/water are complimentary, wine, beer, and Skinny Girl cocktails are also offered ranging from $2.50-$3.50- very reasonable I thought! My friend and I chose Sparkling Moscato, and it was delicious! Drinks were served in real glassware as well, nice touch! The atmosphere inside is much classier than other salons around, with a décor that will have you wishing (pretending) you really WERE in Bali! The technicians were friendly, but mine was struggling more than most to understand my English. I tried to tell her several times that I wanted an acrylic nail on my big toe, because most of the nail was broken off. She kept saying she understood me, but then proceeded to polish my toe as is. Finally, another technician stepped in to explain to her, and they had to send someone specific over to do the acrylic and finish up. Their basic pedicure is only $25 bucks and includes the oranges, pastes, and hot towel wrap. For $32, the hot stone part is added, and well worth it! I even gooped up a toe getting into my car (totally my own fault), and they happily fixed it! I will definitely be back! This place is a cut above the rest! read more
