This month marks a year of being a member at waxing the city! I remember my first time coming in to ease into a Brazilian wax, and Kacey was my cereologist. She was truly the best and made it so enjoyable (as enjoyable as getting hair ripped out of your body can be LOL) and safe for me. Since Kacey left, I started going to Alexis!! She is really quick but also very thorough and does everything with excellence. If you suffer with ingrown hairs like me, she will WORK those right out of you! She did an incredible job and it was quick! She is a little bit more shy however, still so sweet and such an awesome person to work with! The gals working at the front desk are always sweet, I have never felt insecure or miss treated when I go in. They are also helpful and the salon is kept in top shape! Everything is thoroughly cleaned and there's never a speck of dirt! Love this place and am so grateful to be able to go. read more

Okayyyyyy this waxing the city is amazing and so kind! I was rushing to get here before closing after finding another location closed an hour earlier. I called while driving there explaining that I was trying to get in before I left on a trip the next day. The nicest girl on the other end told me it was no problem and if I could get there at least 20 minutes before closing it was no problem, she would wait. So I made it and let me tell you she missed not one single anything! This was the best wax I have ever had. I will always come to this location and work with the girl I met! I feel terrible because I can't remember her name but as soon as I do I will update. The store is sunny and upbeat per usual and the tables/rooms are so nice. Definitely stop in here. read more

As someone who has frequented this franchise in other cities for over 15 years, I am so disappointed in the quality of service and the lack of management response at this site, in Elkhorn, NE. I was burned by my esthetician after repeatedly telling her the wax was too hot. My wax was also sub-par, with entire sections being missed. I called and left several messages to speak with the manager starting the day after the incident. Each time, I spoke with reception and requested a call back, as the manager was in a service. I was sure to include my name and phone number, yet I never received a call back. One star due to the quality of my wax, and due to the management of the location. read more

I had my first Brazilian Wax today. I was super nervous walking in as I thought it would be super painful from the videos I've seen from tiktok of peoples reaction. Karlee did my Brazilian and lord I thought it would be so awkward but she made me feel super comfortable and I really liked that. We talked throughout the whole session and it made it a lot easier! It took like 20 minutes and then I was out the door and on my way! I liked it so much I have already set up a second appointment. If your thinking about doing it you should! Went in prior to my vacation. I was a first time visitor. I did not receive the 20% off for first time services. After my appointment, I received a survey and mentioned it in the survey. The manager emailed me and apologized and said she would refund my 20%. They never did. I even reached back out to ask if this still in progress. I never received a response back. Very disappointed in the follow through of the manager. The services received were great would have given them 5 stars but the the customer service afterwards has disappointed me. read more

This is my 2nd time going to Waxing the City. I highly recommend this place. Lacey is great! She takes her time, friendly and knowledgeable! She has the best brows and is making mine look darn good! I got a wax here today and was super excited but the results were dissapointing. My cerologist was super sweet and treated me very well. I got a full leg wax along with a brazilian and I was told by many of my friends who get waxed that you should leave completely smooth. Everywhere I got waxed still has hair and is prickly all around, it feels like it didn't even take the hair out. I also have red spots on my legs and every pore is still super red and it's been over 12 hours. My hair was plenty grown out, I hadn't shaved for 4 weeks and my hair was longer than a grain of rice. After my wax I went to the salon up the street to ask if that was normal and they said no. Although the service was good, the results were not what I was expecting at all and I will be trying the salon up the street next time. read more

This is tough because I enjoyed my experience at the establishment but the results are really not good. I got a full Brazilian and left with a bunch of tiny hairs all over. It feels like I shaved 2 days ago and I'm super prickly. My waxer also only did half of my backside. I have been getting waxed for 11 years and have never experienced this. My hair was two or three months grown out, too, so I know I was more than ready to be waxed. Again, enjoyed the experience and wildly disappointed with the result. I have never left a wax with anything less than hairless, smooth skin. Will maybe go back to try another waxer, but will more than likely look for an independent waxer. ---------- Wanted to hop on here and update my review. The response from Waxing the City has been so generous and kind. I got a call from someone at the studio that they would love to have me in for a touch up and that they refunded me. I write this review pissed because the girl who took my reservation booked it wrong and so then they tell me they don't have time for what I actually asked for. Rather than apologizing she was very defensive, which pissed me off further. So all I want to say is that I won't be back and I found a better place that actually costs less. read more

So I came here prior to Vacation. I was happy with the service until I went to pay I was charged for an add on I didn't receive. Then they charged me for someone else's service and had run out to my car to have me come back in and pay. But the biggest reason I will never go back is they charged my card yesterday which made my account overdrawn. I didn't buy the monthly package and I haven't been there in a month so why did they charge my card. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am so happy with my experience here! I used to get my bikini wax at another place that has recently shut down so I was looking for somewhere new and I am pleasantly surprised!!
