I've used Ballard Lock and Key twice now and they were wonderful each time. The first time, my car, wallet, and keys were stolen. They were came out in no time to change my locks. The most recent time I had been missing my keys for a few days and thought they'd been lost or stolen. I got the key for my new place tonight, but I put it in the bad handle. Only house key = stuck. The first place I called never got back to me, but this dispatcher told me a price and a time. They are a little hard to get on the phone sometimes, but they did good work at a fair price. They get the 5 stars because they came out and overhauled an old lock for us after it stopped working 1 week after they re keyed it. When our office was broken into on the 4th of July, I put in calls to several area locksmiths to re-key the building ASAP. Not only was Ballard Lock & Key the only one who called me back, they were on site (on a holiday!) in around an hour. We had just moved into our new home when we discovered we couldn't use a bathroom because the privacy lock was stuck, and the usual methods to open it didn't work. We made one call to these folks, and staff came out quickly. He took apart the mechanism and found that it was nonfunctional. Luckily he had a replacement part in his truck, so he was able to repair it right away. As he was leaving I asked about the bolt for our front door. He took about the flimsy short screws and put in much stronger ones so we feel safer now. Their prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommend! read more
