My group walked over here after a game of mini golf, it was a lightly packed night as the warriors were playing, but we had already had seats reserved, so when we walked in, we were quickly seated. I started with a Hazy beer that I forgot to take a photo of, but of course, it was great. I ordered a Smash Burger with fries, and it was just as I expected: great-tasting, had all the fixings you'd want, and the fries were crispy. The vibes were fun and great for those who are looking for a local brewery for beer and food!
Good food, good beer, good fun with trivia nights! The ambiance is a little basic and the service is a little untraditional but it works well for what it is. Beer prices are good but the food is a little pricer than I'd expect. Still very good for after work with friends.
A solid spot for beers and food. We also did trivia and it was a lot of fun. The competition is FIERCE! We got the fish tacos and cheese curds and a few beers. Everything tasted great! Definitely a good spot to meet up with friends.
Great brewery if you want to eat before the warriors game. The food is delicious and affordable. Happy hour had a lot of options. The serving size of the fries were also huge. Fries were crispy, fresh and flavorful with lots of garlic and parm. I will definitely be back for burger, fries and a beer.
such a solid spot for a group happy hour, some sport watching, and/or some grub! staff is always so accommodating and there always seems to be room, even with a party of 12... impressive! i especially enjoy the qr code ordering system as it's efficient and allows people to order and pay individually. drinks are reasonable and so is food, especially if you hit happy hour. the wings were a bit small but still juicy and flavorful! definitely will be going back.
This brewery was fantastic! I love to check out as many local breweries as I can while traveling so I had to make my way over. The food was delicious and the beers were just as tasty. I wish I had taken pictures of all my food. We had pretzel bites with cheese, cheese curds, kale Ceaser salad, and the bbq bacon burger. All of the food was so good, and the staff very nice. We were there midday on a Monday so it was rather empty but it was a beautiful space! I'll be stopping on back next time I'm in town

We went early so it wasn't too busy yet. Very spacious place, great for people that need the extra room for accessibility. Travis was great! Service was quick and the food was nice for a quick bite. Pretzel bites were delicious but for the price more bites would be much appreciated. Lots of options for beers on tap or cans if you prefer. They don't just offer beer and have a variety of wines, a couple hard seltzers and a cider. Menu also offers kids meals and non- alcoholic drinks. Definitely recommend stopping by if your in the area, great for larger groups, families or even just by yourself.
Expectations were high, given that I've been here before. The ambiance is nice, but the food was a miss. While I did enjoy the beet salad, the side of chicken breast that I added for $7 was lacking. It was about 6 small chunks of chicken and burnt. The lemon pepper chicken wings were small and dry. No sauce was offered, and no sauce came in the to-go bag. Ranch would have helped the dryness. A disappointing dinner which cost over $40. :(

Pros: - huge space - not too loud - food and drinks come out quickly - toast tab ordering system makes it convenient to pay in group settings - EXCELLENT seasoned french fries. I don't know what batter they use, but my god is it good Cons: - the pumpkin spice churro lacks pumpkin spice flavor and is more reminiscent of taco bell cinnamon twists than an actual churro. The apple butter it is served with is cold and tasty on its own, but makes for an unsuccessful pairing imo - only one puny container of ketchup is served with the fries, and we couldn't flag down a waiter to ask for more - the bathrooms were a little messy. Not gross, but not clean either. One of the soap dispensers was broken and there was tp on the ground - unsure if the water area with pitchers was self-serve, but no one will stop by your table unless they're dropping off your order
Affordable food and drinks especially during happy hour. The sage fries were crispy and flavorful!

Great place to stop by before the Warriors game for food and drinks. Lots of great selections here, but you won't find the entire classic Ballast Point beers or experimental menu items at this location. Good happy hour for food and drinks. The burger was delicious and they were able to cut it in half for us in the kitchen. The garlic Parmesan fries are tasty with a huge portion and plenty of garlic. Don't expect to kiss anyone after having the garlic Parmesan fries haha. Lots of seating, but not enough servers. Hard to track someone down sometimes to place more orders, but it's much easier from the bar seating. read more
I was walking around and came across this wonderful brewery. I tried the Watermelon Mint. And OMG was it refreshing. It had a minty taste with a sweet after taste. It was delicious. To bad they don't sell it to go as it's a visiting beer. I will definitely come back. read more

Date: Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 Time: 6:15pm Party of: 2 Meal: Dinner before a concert at Chase Reservations Made: via OpenTable the day before *16oz California Kolsch ($9) *Belgium Pretzel Bites ($15) *Broiled Deviled Eggs ($12) *Spinach Artichoke ($16) *Garlic Parmesan Fries ($12) *16oz Longfin Lager ($9) *Surcharge ($3.65) A girlfriend and I were going to the Janet Jackson concert at 8pm. We figured we should meet up for some food beforehand. I looked around and this was the only place offering reservations at a time that worked with the concert and was after work hours. I would highly recommend making a rez as it was busy when I got here. You scan the QR code on the table and order everything online. You can't request glasses of water or anything, so make sure to remember to ask when your drinks and food are delivered. No one checks on you or anything. I still tipped 20% since I just do that automatically, but there's really no service in the traditional way here if you think about it. The food was fine. Just your typical bar bites. Tho the fries were my fav. Very garlicky and savory. Definitely the best dish. The pretzel bites were too fluffy and chewy in the wrong way. I wanted the texture to resemble a carnival soft pretzel. The cheese was also too thin. The beers were good. I'm not much of a beer drinker if there's liquor around, but it's easy to sip on. They were out of the beer that reminded me of a belgian witbier, so I picked the ones above. Convenient if you want to grab some drinks and food before going to Chase Center where a 16oz beer runs $16. Definitely better on my pocketbook. REVIEW #3454 read more
Space/Ambiance (5/5): Came here for trivia night on Wednesday! Loved the setup and learned some interesting things. There are gift card awards for the top three teams. Trivia aside, the place is very spacious and a good place for large sized groups. Also plenty of TVs available to catch sports games, and they had a baseball memorabilia auction on a table and you could just write in how much you wanted to bid for various items. I live nearby so it was an easy 10 walk, but there are multiple public transit options to get there. Parking might be a challenge unless if you don't mind walking further or paying for a nearby garage (although looks like they validate parking). We initially sat in one of the booths because we didn't realize there's a whole separate area where they hold trivia on the far side from the main entrance. We had already ordered, but it was easy to ask the bartenders to switch our tables on the orders so that it got to us. Just gotta take note of what the table numbers are written on the little QR code menus they have at each table. Food (4.5/5): I got the shrimp tacos. A bit pricey for the size ($18 for 3 small tacos with 2 shrimps each; so $3/shrimp haha), but the shrimp was grilled very well and tasted great. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich, and that was such a large portion for the same price as my tacos. He also got the falafels but couldn't finish them because the sandwich was just so filling. The flavor of the falafels were on point, but it's a shame they were pretty dry. Drinks (4.5/5): I like my IPAs, so I got the Sculpin and Aloha Sculpin to try something that's a bit of a different flavor. I love that there are different sizes available, so I just tried 4 oz of each since I'm a lightweight. I prefer the regular Sculpin. The Aloha version tasted to me like a slightly watered down and fruity flavored version of the original. My boyfriend opted for the nonalcoholic options, and the nonalcoholic hazy IPA tasted almost like a sour and you could definitely tell there's no hoppy taste to it. I ended up finishing it, but my boyfriend barely touched it after a few sips. He ordered one of the kombucha drinks after (I think the mango pineapple one), and it was really good! Overall (4.5/5): Tastes in food and drinks of course vary, but I think they have a good variety on offer. I feel like the ambiance might be a bit different if we weren't participating in trivia, but would still recommend for any beer tastings or a larger gathering! read more
My wife and a few of my friends from work decided to stop by for drinks. Ballast Point has a good selection of beer. We ordered the Two Towns cider and were happy with the 16oz pours. Coworkers liked the watermelon and grapefruit IPAs. I was not impressed with food bites. We ordered the lemon pepper wings and they seemed super salty and overcooked. The garlic fries with Parmesan and truffle were fine - my wife finished every last one. The online ordering system worked great and we got our orders pretty quickly. We went during an off peak time so there weren't many of us there to enjoy the clean, large space. Good place to chill n have a drink with average food read more

Huge beautiful location in Mission Bay, walking distance to Chase Center. Was able to get free parking not too far away. Plenty of seat-yourself seating options from high-top tables, booths, and at the bar. Order beer and food from QR code. Beer is good and refreshing, but nothing spectacular. Does pair great with their food though. We opted for the Blue Crab Dip, Deviled Eggs, and Fish Tacos. The devilled eggs were super flavorful and unique. The dip was warm and comforting, paired with homemade potato chips and fresh slices of cucumber. And the tacos, classic. It was a bit expensive but worth a visit every once in a while. read more

Fantastic spot before a Valks game or Chase Center event! I was shocked how empty it was before the Valks game - prices are great and food was fresh and delish. The service is SO fast so didn't miss a beat getting on to our game. The ambiance is such a vibe.. this is our new go to now! read more
Ballast point is one of my favorites in San Diego so was super excited to see a location in sf!!! You can easily order through your phone which is convenient and can order tasters, half, and full pours. We tried the various sculpins and some meatballs to go with it. Beers were delicious and the meatballs were pretty good as well. Super spacious spot like the other locations and good selection of beers. Can't wait to be back. read more
Love it! It's been a few years since I've been to Ballast Point in San Diego. So it was pretty exciting to see that the brewery now has a taproom in SF. The space is very fitting of the neighborhood. Cool, spacious, modern and lots of natural light. There are two large bar areas and lots of tables and seating. The beers were delish. Classic on taps for now and more to come later. The food menu was done well. A nice variety and something for everyone. I highly recommend the smash burger and chicharrones. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back! read more

Went to Ballast Point for a company event. This place is very spacious and can seat over 200 people. The restaurant is very clean and has a pristine sort of feel. You can see the brewery area through the glass walls in the hallway heading towards the restrooms. Our server was very attentive and has excellent beer recommendations. There was a happy hour special on the menu for that eat -- 6 wings and a beer for $10. You have the option to have the wings with sculpin hot sauce or Korean sticky glaze sauce. I preferred the sculpin hot sauce flavor more. Our table ordered a bunch of food and beers and shared it family style. We ordered (food wise): Wings, fish tacos, chicken burger, meatballs, crab slider, mini croissants, Hamachi crudo, and garlic fries! Beer: Ace Cider: Guava, Haze in the Park IPA, Flying Embers: Orange Passion Mimosa, Calico Amber, Aloha Sculpin IPA, and Grapefruit Sculpin IPA. Overall, this place is great. Excellent for company events, after game events, happy hours, or just trying out a new brewery that opened in town. read more
Great new add to the breweries in the pothill/dogpatch/mission bay area! Met a couple friends here for a drink. The place is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. There's plenty of booths/tables/bar seating available. There are two bars! Ordering is easy with a QR code on your table with ordering and payment all made available from your phone. There's a merch store when you first walk in. And just like most places in the area, it is pet friendly! 4/5 Chicharrones - never had this served with guac. Pleasantly surprised! They don't skimp out on the guac. 3/5 Fries - felt a little hard. Was just okay. read more
