    Seafood platter
    Andrea Z.

Visited my on Friday around 5pm with a friend for happy hour. Bar was fairly busy, most tables were taken but was able to snag a spot by the window in a booth. Space is open and spacious with several smaller tables and larger tables that seems to be shared by groups which was nice. Drinks: Primo - light, crisp and refreshing a great light beer if you are want something easy to sip on Food: seafood platter - fresh oyster which were delicious great balance of clean salinity, shrimp cocktail was okay shrimp was a tad rubbery but appreciated the cocktail sauce for dipping, swan crudo was solid, thicker slices of salmon dressed with olive oil and capers, wish fish was a bit thinner but tasty Rice a roni arancini - solid, fried crisp and golden brown on the exterior, interior creamy risotto with pieces of crab flavor was faintly reminiscent of rice a roni, had a slight cheese pull which was fun Service was good, order at the counter and grab your draft pours, a number is provided for the food order and they deliverer it to the space your seated. Fairly quick and efficient. Overall enjoyed happy hour at Fort Point, appreciated the affordable draft pours, decent food selection with a slight discount.

When nature calls after drinking your 3rd draft beer visit the restroom! It's a must do at this relaxed communal beer hall. You'll be captivated with the sound of Naturist Sir David Attenborough's nature talk series....kinda appropriate for the restroom ambiance. Our beers were crisp, refreshing and served perfectly chilled. They serve light bites and fresh oysters to complement the libations. Indoor and outdoor seating is abundant and no reservations needed. In fact there were more than enough tables on a cool October Friday evening.

3.5 stars. Fort Point Valencia has super cheap options for happy hour! I came here for the $2 oysters and $5 beers-on-tap. The establishment is quite beautiful and it's not too busy at all during happy hour. Oysters [3/5]: For the price, I thought the oysters were pretty good but not shucked very properly compared to most other establishments; out of the 10 oysters we ate, 90% had small bits of shell scattered throughout. Shrimp Cocktail [4/5]: A decent shrimp cocktail. Good sauce, shrimp felt a little dry and lukewarm. Crudo [3.5/5]: The choice of salmon for this was interesting, but the sauce and toppings were really good! Note: They are super strict about checking ID! I forgot mine and was denied beverage service (despite having a picture of my ID and passport on hand), and I later saw a cute old couple with gray hair get carded as well. :P

Very aesthetic and a nice place to get a drink and food! I had the super dry cider and it was definitely very dry but very refreshing! We also had the garlic fries and they had a strong garlic flavor but they were really salty. Service is great and the food came out in a couple minutes.

The Primo American Pilsner from Fort Point!

Just recently was the first time I had a beer from Fort Point. I am not sure how I missed this San Francisco brewery as far as getting it into my bookmarks but I am glad an opportunity arose for me to try it because I would have missed out! Steve and I had the Primo which was a pilsner that was highly enjoyable to have. It had a clean, dry and bitter characteristics. It was crushable which means it would be very easy to have more than one of these beers. What a great starting point with this brewery and I'd love another opportunity to try them again. It would be very tempting to get the same beer over again but I am curious to see what I think of their other beer styles also.

Love coming here for happy hour. I got the raw bar set ($16) and a cider($5) to go with it. All the seafood was fresh and delicious, my favorite was the crudo. They make a wonderful hot sauce too. Cider was nice and crisp, not too dry. Space is clean, service is friendly, quick and attentive.

Offering diverse beer and food options, this tap room is set on a side street in the Mission district of San Francisco. We enjoyed a 4-beer flight (flights must be between 3 and 6 in-house beers and ciders). Charming venue with a great vibe and friendly service.

Dropped by on a Saturday night after dinner and was able to grab a seat easily for 2 people. Got a flight to share just to taste a couple of the beers, and they were all really great! My favorite that day was a Korean style lager in partnership with San Ho Won - I forget the exact name of the pour but it was really light and refreshing. The interior is a cool vibe with neon signs and dim lighting all around. The design of the brewery is very sleek and modern with a pretty open layout. Overall, decently spacious and would be a good spot to hang out with large groups of friends! I did not try any of their food that night so definitely want to come back sometime especially to check out their happy hour menu for the $2 oysters and discounted drafts.

    Crispy Fish Nuggets
    Brenda F.

my friend and I came here for a quick bite and drinks. She recommended this place because we were in the area and she liked their beer. The fish nuggets were delectable, but I didn't enjoy the crudo as much. The fish was a bit rubbery. This place has a minimalistic interior design and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

Happy hour is Monday - Friday 4-6pm! Only got oysters ($2pp for hh) and wow, they were great. Not the sweetest, but these were huge and fresh oysters! Usually I'm a mignonette gal, but I loved these with lemon & their house hot sauce. Service is great and very sweet. Beautiful space. Will be back for sure.

Grateful to have Fort Point on Valencia!! Such great seafood forward snacks and beer options. Interior is extremely cute. When you use the bathroom - there's recordings playing of animal facts

    Chris B.

Great new taproom from one of the top SF breweries. Beer is good and cold, ample seating both indoors and out, and the food menu is packed with tasty snacks. Arancini is the first item I tried, and it did not disappoint. Crispy outside, savory inside, and it got to the table really quick. Love the touch with David Attenborough audio pumped into the WC. Def - great place to grab beers and bites with friends, and receive friendly quick service.

    Animal And The Garlic Fries
    Steve A.

Checked out this Mission District brewery. Fort Point has a couple locations in this city. It has this one located on Valencia. A pretty small place actually. There's a few tables but it's not like a big ass space that can hold parties and gatherings. A lot of the focus is on the beers. It's expected, but many breweries care a lot more about the atmosphere it seems. The place isn't that big, so that could be why. Has a good variety on tap but not an overwhelming one with choices. It's about $8 a pint. A bit more expensive than many craft breweries. This is good beer though. Best one we had was the Animal. This is a tropical IPA. A stronger beer at 7.5% ABV. Helps you to get your money's worth. Also we got the Garlic Fries. It's $9 for a lot. These are about the only vegetarian food items to get it seems. Good location of a popular local brewery. It's got enough beers to choose from. There's also food like fries, and meaty things.

Both were fantastic. Ambiance: 3/5 - ambiance is just okay. It's right on the water so a nice view from the outdoor seating but nothing particularly outstanding about the restaurant itself in terms of decor or architecture. Service: 1.5/5 - huge miss. For the prices on this menu, I would expect service to be a lot better. We waited in line to be sat (no waiting list, just an old school line) and it took only 10 minutes or so to be sat but it was very bizarre, we were a party of 2 ready to be sat & she took the couple behind us and sat them first. No particular reasoning given. The host seemed to really not care about much. From there, service was odd. Our server didn't introduce herself and just asked us what we wanted. Again, not a necessity but you would think for somewhere you're paying $30+ per plate, service would be a bit better. An oyster holder was delivered to our table after we had already finished oysters. Glass was broken near our table and hastily swept up. Bussers were dropping silverware right next to our table. Again, just wasn't great ambiance or service. The food is good but there are other good restaurants in San Francisco. I would really only come here again with low service expectations.

I had called ahead to check on the foot traffic and to determine the best time to get there. As they open at 11:30, after speaking with someone over the phone the week before, my wife and I determined the best time to get there was 12:30pm, they don't take reservations for parties of 2. We arrived, saw they already had a wait but were on the list by 12:30pm. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes. No problem. We received the buzzer from them and walked around the block and ended up two restaurants down the street around 12:50pm. At 1:09pm, the buzzer still hadn't gone off and my wife, who went in initially to put us on the list, went back in to check on the status of our table. At the host stand, she heard the manager tell a woman who clearly didn't have a reservation she would be sat in 3 minutes. After hearing that, my wife showed the manager the buzzer we had been given and asked, "So how much longer for us?" The manager replied "It may be another 10 minutes." We then watched them scramble to clear a table and immediately give the table to the woman who had arrived after us. Upon this disappointment we decided to leave because if they can't get something simple like seating guests respectfully right, I can only imagine what else they'll screw up. People don't remember what you do... They remember how you made them feel. As a hospitality professional, not only was this experience totally unavoidable but it left me feeling disrespected and not valued - as a customer; as a person. In being honest, I have to mention that, oddly enough, as I looked around during this disappointment I noticed that everyone seated and being rapidly seated were of one particular ethnic group. Everyone waiting was part of various minority groups which made this incident even more sickening - reinforcing our decision to not only choose to spend our money somewhere else on that day, but to never spend any money there... EVER. I was extremely excited to visit this place and to be shown this kind of treatment further proves that there are still some places that don't want minority dollars so much they simply don't care how they treat you. And unfortunately for them, I'm certainly sharing this experience with as many visitors to the city as I can letting them know "There a MANY fine places to eat in the city... but I'll tell you where NOT to go - unless you feel like being treated like a second-class citizen." Please check in with your personal values before choosing to support this place. Sotto Mare... you all really need to invest in some cultural sensitivity training. It's 2026. Highly disappointed.

I had steamed mussels with fries. There were not enough mussels because they were huge and the sauce was more a broth and not at all flavorful enough. I usually love sopping up every last drop of the juice. But the really disappointing aspect of our dinner was the service. There were 3 people behind the service station. All of them need a training course on how to pay attention to paying customers. Instead they were all engrossed in private conversation with each other or with one particular customer. And one of the staff was simply intimidating, and very very loud. I suspected his behavior may have been chemically induced. Our waitress was very sweet, cheerful and helpful when we could catch her attention. But as I said a 15 minute training exercise each evening before starting work would work wonders. Like look around each customer every time you are not doing anything. And the more senior staff member was just uninterested and perhaps a little grumpy. So the food was blah, more flavor in the broth would help, and ok but at today's prices a "dinner out" has to be about more than just the food.
