    Taco salad-where's the beef?
    Debbie P.

We visited when the restaurant was fairly quiet, with only a few tables occupied, but we waited over 30 minutes for our taco salads. Our server did check in twice and let us know the food should be coming out soon, which we appreciated. When the meals arrived, the portions--especially the meat--were smaller than expected. The food tasted fine overall, but the long wait and portion size made the experience underwhelming, and we're not especially eager to return. Was very hungry after coming from Dentist no breakfast. So stopped for lunch. Always try to stop by this place it's so good. Usually very busy today because of holiday not so much. Well I did order the special, which was a Beef sandwich with fries. I asked if I could get soup instead of fries? Lady was so friendly she did allow that. Was a little extra , however the Soup was homemade Creamy Chicken noodle. It was awesome just like the beef sandwich was as well! They have a nice bar if interested & video poker games too. Kinda hidden in back of car wash. Next to Lou Malnatis I do recommend this place good food & Great Service too @ reasonable prices.

Food was far better than expected. Atmosphere was clean plenty of TVs, and spacious. Service was great and got to meet with the owner. Very pleasant woman. Don't let the name through you. I didn't stop in for the longest time only because I assumed it was a very typical land sports bar, but this is far from the truth. Food the service in the atmosphere are all top-notch. Worth the visit.

Was really nice coming in here with nice people. They just opened in June and the food is really delish for everything I have tried is really my style of food. Tried the Ballers Trio Sampler Picked Buffalo and Ranch sauces and omitted the Marinara sauce (didnt want it myself) The Tenders were homemade and handbreaded- DELISH ill be coming here for the tenders more often their buffalo sauce was really nice and buttery flavor to it. The Garlic White cheese curds was so heavenly and delicious, not overbreaded like other many places do it. Toasted beef Ravoli was savory with tasty seasoning in it. I would be coming here. Cannot remember what spice they use but its my favorite. The smash burger had quality taste to it very juicy. All of the food that came out was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. the staff today was friendly and quick with service. This will be my new place to hit up at least once a month to order from.

Tasty made from scratch Buffalo chicken sandwich! I'm cheering for small operations like this. Go support them if in the area.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Not a lot of new options in the area, so we gave this place a shot. Restaurant is tucked behind a strip mall, but there are signs in the parking lot that point you in the correct direction. Food was really solid and service from Amar was great. We had burgers, wings and tenders. I would order each again. Plenty of tvs to watch sports - and the Cubs were beating the White Sox!

Friday night stopped into Ballers with my girl she had the Fish Fry, I had theFrench Onion soup best in Lake County! Beers were cold and much needed after a long work week! Amar and Brittany are so friendly. Great local bar bib and just fun place. Fugggetaboutit!

We asked to sit on the patio, and the atmosphere was awesome! We had tons of room at our 6-person table, and we had an umbrella, which was a lifesaver for the sunny, hot day. We specifically came here for their patio and entertainment; Brecken Miles was the entertainment, and he was singing and playing guitar. We were not disappointed because he was awesome! Servicewise, our waitress was nice, but admittedly, it took her a LONG time to check on us throughout our meal. There seemed to only be 2 waitresses working the patio area, so, understandably, service was a bit slow. Drinkwise, more than half of our table ordered a Pacifico because they had them on draft and in a can, but our waitress came back 10 minutes later telling us they only had one can left and were all out. Three of us ended up ordering a different drink, and thankfully, they had many options to choose from. Now, onto the biggest disappointment: the food. I ordered a new Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and it was DROWNED in sauce. Normally, I love a ton of sauce, and when I first got my sandwich, I was excited by the amount of sauce. However, once I tasted it, I noticed that the chicken itself was so tough and overcooked that they probably put so much sauce on it to try and make the chicken more wet. Well, let me tell you, it didn't help at all. I did tell the waitress, and she was nice about taking my food back and allowing me to order something else. I ended up ordering 2 crispy tacos instead. These were fine, but nothing special and honestly very plain. My family was done with their food by the time I got my new meal, but thankfully, we were staying to listen to the music, so it didn't matter too much. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, but I tried my husband's Chicken Caesar Salad, and the chicken in that wasn't very good to me, either. It tasted plain with no seasonings. Overall, I'm sure I will come here again for some type of family affair, but I will be very selective next time about what I am ordering. NO chicken for me.

I like it best in cooler fall months with a good dark or Oktoberfest brew but it is busy year round. The service is consistently competent. The food is always good and there is always something interesting on tap or to be mixed--and at still relatively reasonable prices. Value to price ratio greater than one. The outside patio/bar is also a nice place to eat/hang out at the tables or bar though the seating around the fire pit can be a little unsavory and could use some maintenance or changing it out more often. Tip: if there is a band on the patio you may want to take a pass sitting out there because every band thinks their stuff is so good we want to hear it with amps at "11", and with the patio between two hard brick surfaces, you can't have a conversation. Nevertheless, Emil's is always a go to.

We tried three different wobbly chairs before giving up and settling for the least unstable one. It took 40 minutes just to get water, and over an hour for our drinks. Mine didn't arrive until the manager stepped in--75 minutes after ordering. When our appetizer finally showed up 90 minutes in, the "stuffed mushrooms" were cold, undercooked, and missing the sausage entirely. We sent them back because there was nothing edible about them. The soup tasted good, but it arrived more than an hour into the meal--and came with burnt pieces on top, which is especially ironic considering the fire alarm was going off at the time. The alarm was blaring directly above our heads, and two families walked out during the chaos. We should have followed. The salads we ordered never arrived. Multiple menu items we attempted to order weren't available, including the salmon for the salmon salad and the prime rib sandwich. At that point, the menu felt more like a list of things they used to serve. After two hours of waiting, missing dishes, unavailable items, and nonstop disruptions--on a birthday, no less--we finally walked out. And despite everything, we still tipped our waiter because it was painfully clear the chaos wasn't entirely his fault. We walked next door to Emil's, where the difference was night and day. We were seated immediately, treated kindly, served a full meal in under 45 minutes, and they even surprised my friend with a free birthday dessert to salvage the night. Emil's saved what Center Cut completely destroyed.
