This review is difficult for me to write because I genuinely wanted to support this business. Over the years, I have brought countless friends, family members, and visitors here because I believed in supporting local establishments. Unfortunately, despite being a loyal customer and encouraging others to spend their money here, I have repeatedly been met with disrespectful and dismissive treatment from ownership. This has not been a one-time incident or a misunderstanding. I can think of at least 5-10 separate occasions where interactions left me feeling unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer. I never expected special treatment for bringing people in. I only expected basic courtesy and respect. Instead, I often felt like my business and the business of the people I brought with me did not matter. The food and atmosphere may be fine, but customer service starts at the top. After multiple negative experiences, I can no longer recommend this place to friends or family. I sincerely hope ownership takes customer feedback more seriously in the future, because no customer should leave feeling disrespected after choosing to support a local business. 10/10 piece if shit owner. The bar tenders are great except for the older bigger lady. On top of that, my mother suffers from stage 3 cancer and when me, her, and 3 friends came(we go every week, never had a good experience with him) he went and turned the heat up 8 degree in the summer. My mom had chemo the day before and is clearly not doing well. On top of that he made it a point to complain about everything we did. I mean sitting on stools "wrong", sitting in empty seats "wrong", and "leaning" in the pool table which consisted of 2 fingers. Genuinely never felt so much hostility and rudeness from an owner. Not only that but we play slots every week and he accused us of somehow breaking a slot machine(not even possible). 10/10 would not recommend for anyone looking for a good time or good drink unless you goto the single good bartender( the one with tattoos or glasses who's only working Thursdays) read more

We went in the first time with friends who invited us there. An excellent welcome by staff; however, they allow frequent staff that comes in and sits at the bar to brigade new members to the establishment - we came in and a frequent member initiated unnecessary conversation and began threatening us - and got up and pushed me physically (unwarranted) - and hit me. The bar told the cops that the "regular" guy was off his "meds" and they were sorry. Don't go there unless you want to be violently assaulted and the bartender told do nothing about it. I haven't been to this place since they changed name, so decided to go there for a drink and some food. The atmosphere was nice, quite some people (maybe 10?) in the bar area. We decided to sit in the dining area (but not in a boot - these seem very narrow to sit down). The service was great, the waitress very present and took care of us. Their beer selection is ok (though I missed to find Hofbraeu - there's a beer sign but they only had it in bottles). Also beer prices are quite reasonable ($6-$6.25 per pint). As to food, we both decided to have the shepherd's pie for $16 (their special, probably a leftover from St.Patricks). The food tasted great, it was not soaked in fat or so (mine was just warm in the center, my friend's was hot throughout). i would eat it again! Also the prices for a burger ($12) seemed reasonable - will try that another time. All in all a decent place, nothing outstanding (but also nothing outstanding bad!). read more

Stopped in for dinner and tried the BBQ ribs. Honestly the best ribs I've ever had. Amazing dry rub and the sauce was perfect. Friendly staff and the food never disappoints! Have had the burgers and pizza in the past both great! read more

We came here after the Tiger's game. They were getting ready to close but were still super nice and told us kitchen was closed but we could still get drink or shake. We had a fabulous shake! Our server never made us feel rushed. What a wonderful place and fabulous customer service! read more

First timer and last timer- I've seen the reviews were 90% or more so I decided to treat myself and instantly regretted it. I asked for a well done classic burger and took my first bit and looked down and seen "Red" not pink. ended up vomiting 5/6 times - called the restaurant and asked for a name to who cooked it they didn't disclose so I requested a refund and had to share my experience on here .The food is 0/10 (honestly)but the place it's self is still a vibe just don't eat here . #lessonlearned read more

Used to go to this bar when it was Bakes pub, great little bar close to CLC of which I was a student. Fast forward and out and about taking care of errands with my friend of 15 years we decide to stop in and grab a bite and a beer. After going in and sitting down there was an older gentlemen that was at the other side and f the bar that was so intoxicated that his false teeth where wobbling around as he spoke, he commenced to ask my friend and I if we were Mexicans. Be fore we could respond he informed us that he typically refers to Mexicans as taco benders, but that since he likes tacos it was ok to refer to us in that manner. Regardless of nationality what does that have to do with anything, how is he helping this business buy racist comments, sad in this day and age. Unfortunately I will most likely never return to this bar / pub. Hopefully no one else will run into this, I wish the pub the best of luck but they may want to start paying more attention to the locals and promote business for those less frequent visitors as word of mouth plays a big role for restaurants during these times. read more

Would you like a gross bathroom to go with undercooked pizza and a freezing room? Look no further. I used to play slots here and enjoy a few beers but after my last couple experiences- a chipped pint glass, a bathroom that was disgusting and undercooked food, I won't ever return. Yes, I complained and was made a new pizza. But they had the audacity to charge me for it. While I realize it is a business, keeping customers is the idea. How dare you serve a particularly raw pizza make me wait for it while I pump money into the slot machines and then still charge me. I hope the $18 was worth it because that's the last of my money this place will ever get. read more

We have been here 3 times now, twice within the past month. Decided this is our favorite "neighborhood" bar! The servers are always super friendly and the food is good - a step above the typical greasy bar food. The burgers alone are juicy and tasty, the fries were thick cut and seasoned well - wish we got more!!! The have a bar/restaurant section then a separate game room (gaming, foosball, pool table, and darts). Server was also attentive when we went in there, sometimes they tend to forget about you when you move into another room but not here! We have eaten at Joe Joe's several times now and gotten delivery. Their burgers are delicious, their euros are delicious, I also really enjoy their appetizer of the pretzel sticks. We come here regularly. It's a small local bar and grill, with consistently good food. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly. They do have a limited menu, with a few upscale twists on traditional bar fare. We really enjoy their sides too.
