I contacted the business through their website and received a call back within an hour, which surprised me as I emailed them after business hours. I explained I was out of state and would love to have balloons and cupcakes delivered for a birthday. We discussed how many balloons (two size 'bouquets' are available) and what colors, and how many cupcakes. We did not discuss what variety of cupcakes, just that six would be enough. An invoice was emailed to me shortly after we spoke and paid prior to delivery day. The balloons were delivered as promised, with the the cupcakes and I am told were a bit small (I had some delivered to the recipient when she lived in CA previously - clearly not the same vendor :D), and the taste was preferred over the cake she received, so that sounds like a good review. As I am not nearby, I am unable to offer first hand experience. However, the owner promptly replied to my request for service and fulfilled my request exactly as discussed. All together a success and a much appreciated service. I did look at purchasing balloons from a chain party store, but prefer to hire small local businesses when possible. The cost may have been more, but the service provided is much more personal and supporting the local economy more valuable in the long run. read more

They dropped off the balloons at our venue (for a fee) and it was so hassle free -- which was such a relief. The balloons even lasted days later when we took them home. I stopped in here today to pick up some balloons and cupcakes so I guess this was the best place to go! When I walked in I was surprised at how big it was because I was expecting a tiny store. I was greeted by a very nice woman who is the owner and she was very helpful. I first wanted to get some cupcakes and almost all of them were gone. Fortunately, they still had about eight left. I bought four and left four for the next person. I bought a snicker doodle and a coconut frosted chocolate as well as two Cookie Monsters. All of them were really good! The balloons were nice but sadly they got tangled in my car due to all of the wind today. While I was bringing them to the car the wind picked up and I spent about an hour trying to untangle then but no luck! They make sin! Outstanding cupcakes that I would compare to any of the hipster favorites Downtown. I have tried 6 different flavors so far and all have been delicious. They have a different selection each day and you can check their daily updated webpage for whats fresh and in stock. Most cupcake places make a crappy frosting, not these guys. The frostings are obviously made fresh from scratch and are not over sweet. They are located inside Balloon Wizards and seem to be a perfect fit! I was craving cupcakes on my way to my Mom's and wanted to try the one on Marine View Drive. When we'd pulled up, realized that they had shut down already. I was bummed out because I've been by this place many times and read the review from my Cousin, Dana. I trust her opinion. I recalled seeing one in Burien and told my Husband we have to try it out. It beats the commute all the way to UVillage or Bellevue for Trophy's. The man working behind the counter was SUPER FRIENDLY and greeted us with a warm smile! The owners were super friendly and helpful (you don't get personalized service at the upscale fancy smancy cupcakeries....) - they alone added 1 star! They individiually package each cupcake so the cake and frosting are always soft and moist. I would rather drive there any day then buy a cupcake from the "others" who shall remain nameless. I first had the pleasure of finding this place when it was located at first location in Des Moines. Two weeks later I picked up three St. Patty's day cupcakes and balloons. The cupcakes were Mint Chocolate Chip with polka-dots and Granny Smith Carmel apple with green sprinkles. They looked beautiful - I was so impressed with this place........ and I hadn't even tried the cupcakes yet ! So, on to the good stuff. This place has the absolutely best cupcakes and the flavor creations are out of this world ! They are so beautifully decorated you almost don't want to take a bite, but trust me .. You get over it real quick and dig right it ! Some of my favorite flavors are Snickerdoodle, Blueberry Pancake, Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting, and my new favorite........The Elvis. Now The Elvis cupcake is made with fresh baked banana cake (just like your Mom's homemade banana bread) and creamy peanut butter frosting. I know Elvis would be proud. It is a real treat and something that you won't be able to find anywhere but Balloons and Cupcakes. Lastly, the owners are two of the nicest people I've ever met and you can tell they really care about their customers. Baby cakes cupcakes is a waist of time. I make better cupcakes at home. All the flavors presented were basic flavors. There was nothing that stood out to me at all. The frostings ontop of the cupcakes looked like a 10 year old did it. The presentation around the store had old cupcakes that did not look appealing. I spent $2.50 on a normal sized cupcake that had an unpleasent texture that was "peanut butter" but tasted like maple. I didn't like the dryness of the cake. It could have been more moist. DO NOT USE, TERRIBLE!!!! I prepaid and ordered balloons for delivery 3 weeks prior for a birthday party. The day of the delivery they did not show up, answer my calls or emails. Finally at 6PM (were suppose to deliver by 2PM) I got an email stating they were busy with other customers that day and would be back too late to deliver my balloons. They said, "sorry we have to refund you". I asked to please deliver later or the next day. I have yet to hear back or be refunded and needless to say they never brought the balloons for the party.
