We were really craving New York-style pizza, but honestly, this place was okay, good not terrible but also not quite NY style. The wings, on the other hand, were a highlight: big, juicy, and the sauce was spicy enough to kick it up a notch. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the wings they did the job and then some. The pizza is good here, which is the problem because there are crazy fees when ordering from here on Grubhub. A large 3 topping pizza is $41.65... OOF. But thats just the beginning. Then there is a $6.25 Service fee. $3.50 for Sales Tax. $2.49 Priority Delivery. And $3.50 Drivers Benefits Fee. On top of that a tip is expected. A total of $57.39 before tip. $15.74 in taxes and fees. Being a Grubhub+ member I dont get charged a Delivery Fee. But there is Tax which cant be avoided. Then there is a "Service Fee" even tho I am paying for a yearly subscription to the service... there is a "Priority Delivery" which I have to choose if I want my food delivered faster so it will be warm. Not hot, but warm is the best I can hope for, its a toss up on whether its warm or cold without it. When the location is a fair distance away from me, I have to pay this to insure it gets to me within a hour and is warm. Then we have a Driver's Benefits Fee which was how Grubhub pushes the extra costs onto the buyer that the state of California imposed on them in regards to paying their drivers a working wage. So I end up paying just under $60 for a pizza that may or may not be warm and almost always ends up soggy in the center by the time it gets here. I always have to move the pizza from the bottom of the box to the lid so that the cardboard lid sops up some of the liquid. I used to order from here almost every week til these prices/fees got so high. read more

Pass by here often and wanted to give this place a try. Pizza was good, for $21.54 and a $5.00 cash tip. Unfortunately, the cashier, on the receipt, Alberto O. felt the need to tell his two co-workers after I signed the receipt for a credit card payment that I had written "cash" for tip but had not put cash in the tip jar. This was spoken in Spanish and was inappropriate. When I walked back from the restroom from washing my hands, I asked the cashier, "Excuse me, when you order food and are dining in, do you tip before you have tried your food?" He said, "No problem, it's up to you!" I told him, "I understand what you said in Spanish and I want to try the pizza first, and if I like It, I will leave a cash tip." Which I did. Later that day, I was told the manager wasn't happy with the reservation and someone would speak with him and call me back--but I never received a follow-up. Around 6pm, I decided to stop by in person since I was nearby. The manager didn't greet me or show any courtesy. When I politely asked about the reservation, he responded with irritation and a condescending tone, saying we could have the space but the AC wasn't working--"is that okay with you?" I also asked if I could come a bit early to set up, and while he allowed just 30 minutes, he seemed even more annoyed. Although I was granted the reservation, the entire interaction left me feeling unwelcome. What made it worse is that we've been good patrons--we come regularly, clean up after ourselves, and always leave generous tips. To be treated this way felt unfair and disrespectful. Even when I thanked the manager for allowing us to use the space, he turned his back on me while I was still speaking. That moment really summed up the lack of basic courtesy I experienced. I ended up calling another branch, and they were incredibly kind and professional--such a contrast. When I called back to cancel my reservation at Laguna Niguel, the person who answered was dismissive and rude. After I hung up, I even overheard her use inappropriate language, which was deeply disappointing. Customer service matters, especially when planning a special event. Based on this experience, I've decided I won't be giving this location my business anymore. I'll also be sharing this experience with family and friends so they're aware of the kind of service they provide here. read more

Staff: Everyone was nice but Josh was truly the star of our visit. He is a young man that I would guess is in high school but had the customer service of a veteran. When helping us he smiled, was so polite, anticipated our needs, and was so pleasant to work with. I couldn't believe the amount of topping on the Grand Slam Combo when I saw a picture a friend took when they had ordered it. That just drew me to pick up a couple of pizzas. Ball park has been a staple here in Laguna Niguel as it has been around for a long time and most locals know of its existence. Besides the Grand Slam Combo I had also ordered the Creamy Garlic Chicken since it looked great. Now I have to say they definitely do a quality job with their toppings and they load the pizzas up. Every bite was full of flavor and toppings. I preferred the Grand Slam Combo over the Creamy Garlic Chicken but that's cause it has pepperoni and a lot of toppings. The one star is for the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and RUDE MANAGER experience we had placing a pickup order from Ballpark recently. If you look at the 1 star reviews for this business this has been consistently brought up as the issue. We asked for half and half pizza, two different sauces, two different choice of protein, same veggies on both sides. (Sausage, mushrooms, onions, red sauce + chicken, mushrooms, onions, BBQ sauce). The girl taking our order read the order and it was taken down correctly. My husband picked up and brought home the pizza, one bite and we noticed they got the sauces switched, the side with the chicken had red sauce and the sausage had bbq sauce). We called the store and this is where it went south. The same girl picked up the phone and I explained to her what the issue was, she blamed my husband for not catching THEIR MISTAKE when picking up the pizza!!! She said he looked and said it was OK!! Well Sherlock, he can't tell what the sauces are when buried under cheese and toppings especially so close in color. He's checking the toppings which were correct. Then she put us on hold for the manager, we waited forever and the manager picked up already angry with us for placing "a complicated order". He said it was our fault for ordering half and half pizza and they NEVER do this! I called him out on his bullshit because thanks to Yelp images I see a lot of pictures with half and half pizzas including ones with two different sauce. He had nothing to say after that. I also told him if my order was so hard to make how come the girl taking down the order didn't say anything? She could have said we can't make your request. Also if your kitchen can not handle a simple half and half pizza order then you shouldn't be in pizza business. He made me repeat the order 4 times and he was playing dumb to make a point that this was my fault again. So I asked my husband to take the first pizza back and deal with placing the order in person. After much back and forth and heated push back from him trying to blame us for his kitchen's mistake he finally said he will make another pizza. We had lost our appetite and were extremely aggravated by that time. The second pizza had the correct ingredients combo but they had drenched the chicken side with so much bbq sauce (both under the ingredients on the dough and then smothered on top as well). I was stunned why they would do such a thing since we never asked for it nor do they ever smother all that sauce on top of their fresh ingredients. This side was so soggy and sweet (it was like eating bbq sauce with spoon) it was inedible. I threw away my side of pizza and made eggs while my husband was able to eat his side with sausage. Mistakes in the kitchen happen and at the end the owner did the right thing by offering to make us a correct pizza (even though half the pizza was inedible). However the very aggravating process to get there and his client shaming is beyond unacceptable. Despite my bad pizza I would have not left a negative review had they acknowledged their mistake at the first place. read more
