My server, McKenzie, was extremely friendly, well-mannered, and attentive. She checked on me often and did her best to address my concerns when I expressed my disappointment with some of the food. Unfortunately, the food itself was a different story. I was not a fan of the steamed mini oysters, and I was extremely disappointed with my Seafood Boil. The boil was very bland and lacked the flavor I was expecting. The extra sauce, and seasoning didn't help it. After speaking with the manager, he explained that they don't cook the seafood with seasoning. That definitely helped me understand why my boil tasted so bland to me. Unfortunately, Hook & Reel just isn't for me. I appreciate the manager offering me a 50% discount on the boil, especially since I left more than half of it behind. Personally, I felt the boil should have been removed completely from the bill, but I'm still thankful for the accommodation he did make.
