I love me a good crab cake, so when my best friend suggested Capt'n Crabby, I had to see what they…read morewere all about. My first visit was in late 2020 and the left a very good taste in my mouth (figuratively & literally). I got a crab BLT and really enjoyed it, and the sweet message on the box that said: "Thanks for the support" was enough to bring me back in for future visits. On my second visit, I was able to meet Mj the owner and she was very sweet! I can tell she works hard and puts a lot of work into her business. I also tried their Texan crab cake sandwich, and my God! It was one of the best crabcake sandwiches I've ever had. I was trying to eat the crumbs at the bottom of the box it was so good. I also recommend their old bay seasoned fries, and their flavored iced teas and lemonades. During my most recent visit, I was able to try their vegan crabcake sandwich made with artichoke and heart of palms. It was absolutely fabulous and almost tasted like the real thing. I was very impressed. Overall, Capt'n Crabby makes a damn good crabcake and I'm excited to eat my way through their menu.

It was crabby cheesesteak and there was no crab to be found. Just an old bay sauce on the bottom and it felt very rationed with the steak part. Overall, it was tasty, but did not meet my expectations.

I've ordered from this truck a few times when they've been at Food Truck Fridays in Annapolis. I've…read moreordered the Make Your Own Burger, Chicken Sandwich, and the Black and Blue Burger. All the burgers come with fries. The chicken sandwich was just okay. It was a large piece of chicken, but could have been seasoned better. Both burgers I'd had have been seasoned well and cooked the way I asked. The toppings were plentiful and the buns were fresh. The burgers are actually larger than the buns, which is the way it should be. The fries are just okay. They do sprinkle some seasoning on them, but I always add my own when I get home. The reason I removed a star is because I've ordered onion rings on two different occasions and both times it's taken nearly 30 minutes for them to come out. When I inquire about the long wait, I'm told they'd "be right out" and then end up waiting an additional 15 minutes while everyone after me has received their food. I don't order the onion rings anymore because of this, which is a shame because they're actually quite good. They're crispy and the batter is light. They offer a bunch of different burgers and wings with a variety of sauces, as well as fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and some options for the kids.

Besides the variety of burgers, there are fries and onion rings, etc. My wife and I were intrigued by both the Birria Burger and the Funky Fries. The Birria Burger was alright. Plus side, when I asked for it cooked medium, it was cooked to a proper medium, which I don't see a lot of burger trucks get right. Thick patty that's well-seasoned. The shredded birria beef on top was okay. I like birria tacos, but I don't think it translated super well to a burger - it ended up just being two different styles of beef with different flavor profiles so they didn't really compliment each other. It came with a big helping of fries. The Funky Fries are a great way to just indulge in comfort foods. It's fries, it's buffalo chicken pieces, it's mac n' cheese, all smooshed together with cheese and ranch. I imagine this is fantastic after a night of drinking and/or smoking. I wasn't doing either of those at the time, but it was definitely comforting, which is what I wanted when I ordered it. I think I would come back to try some of the other burger offerings. If you like good burgers, this place will probably have something for you.

The crab cake absolutely lived up to its reputation--packed with large, sweet pieces of crab meat and very little filler. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light. I finally understood why Maryland is so proud of its crab cakes. The Maryland Crab Soup was hearty and comforting, with plenty of vegetables and crab flavor. The Seafood Combo was generous and perfect for sharing after a long day of exploring the city. The restaurant was busy but well organized, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. After lunch, we took a short walk to Fells Point and spent the afternoon exploring the neighborhood, which made it a perfect Baltimore experience. If you're visiting Baltimore for the first time and want to try an authentic Maryland crab cake, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

This was my second time at the restaurant; the first experience was fantastic with top-notch service. I later discovered that our previous server was the owner's son, which explains why the service was top-tier. This time, we were greeted warmly by the host, which was a nice touch. However, after being seated, I waited 15-20 minutes while tables that arrived after us were served. When I finally got the attention of our server, Pedro, he took our order promptly, and I enjoyed my meal, especially the cream of crab soup, even if it was a bit on the warm side. My only issue was feeling rushed, as it seemed like Pedro focused more on his other tables. I had really bragged about this place to my partner, so I was hoping for a similar experience to my first visit.
