Once my car was looked at, they did call back with all the details of what's going on even things that were noticed during the initial diagnostic which is $120 by the way and is applied to the bill if work is completed at the shop. I was confused because I was told that the issue was fixed on my car months ago by my previous mechanic!!! The manager said you might have paid for the service but they didn't change the part..you had the original parts on your vehicle. They even showed my old parts to me!! They informed me that I have other little issues but they are focused on the driving hazard which would have affected my ability to steer. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. This place was a recommendation so of course I came to Yelp for verification. The reviews were good so here were are. I agree, this is one of those old fashioned, honest, garages. It's in an odd spot though, and from the outside you probably wouldn't guess it's a service station. But once you step inside you'll be awed. However, there's no place to chill and wait so you'll need a ride or just plan to leave and come back. I wanted a 'tune up'. My Honda is a commuter car and for 3-years old, she has some miles on her. I just wanted piece of mind. He said for first time visits he likes to do a good once over. I thought that meant I'd be paying for some things I hadn't planned on.
