I recently was seeing Salt, but she has since moved away so I looked at the other stylists and found Karla! I went to her instagram and loved the work she did (specifically with balayages and layers/face framing) and reached out. I had some booking issues trying to have a full balayage and haircut completed by Karla online (it would say no one was available, then it would try to have me split services between stylists) but we got that figured out and I appreciate her quick responses! I showed photos to Karla prior to the appointment and her work matched exactly what I wanted! In the color, the style, the haircut, and the BLENDING! I think this is the best hair session I've ever had! Karla is responsive, genuine, listens to what you want, and makes sure you like what you see before proceeding to each step. If I didn't like something, she was willing to work on my hair more (which wasn't necessary in my case, but she made me feel comfortable enough to voice any concerns I may have), she is kind and great to talk to, etc!!! It looks so much healthier and happier . Multiple people have noticed my added bounce , and I'm loving how much more personality it has now . Update: Received a weird phone call 35 minutes after making this post from some guy named Mark Simmons asking questions for a supposed lawsuit. Knew my phone number and only my legit appt. dates. I found this place when spending a few weeks in Plano - the location and space are great! Super cute and well appointed. My hair cut and color were only MEH. I was not explicit enough with my wants and will take ownership for not speaking up more but overall for the price of a cut and color I'm very disappointed. I showed my stylist inspiration pictures - for the color it was a multi-dimensional brunette with caramel blonde highlights and some darker red tones - what I ended up with was just an all over red color - zero blonde. I was shocked and disappointed. For my cut I showed an actual picture of myself with a cut that I loved - I got nothing like it- I ended up with a long, very lawyered look instead of the short bob I showed. The whole experience was close to $300 and I ended up crying as soon as I got to the car. If you do go here make sure you speak up (I'm sad I didn't). read more

1 st time here though this was the place but you can tell by the picture that after the 3 rd day this is not going too good money in the trash all I can say I took my daughter on Saturday .she wanted her hair blue but the girl in front said it would turn green later on and we would need to be coming for retouch up every so often she said she recommended to do purple which was good because she also liked it would just go over her bleach she had from last dyed (see before pictures)she had so it would be easier.she was nice and all no complaints on that every one was friendly . It's just the color is not lasting this the 3 day and it's already fading away and for the price I paid this is not worth it not happy with it they just did a sloppy job . I always hate to leave a bad review. A couple of months ago I got my hair done here for the first time. After reading the reviews, I thought it was going to be a an overall good experience but I'm sad to say it wasn't. I had just moved into the area and was in search of a good hair stylist to redo my balayage. Nervous, I booked an appointment with Suzette. She was friendly and personable . However, maybe a little bit too relaxed. I understand that it's important to feel happy in your work place but there's a line that was crossed between being too comfortable and professional. Half of the time she spent talking about what food she wanted to order and where to go. As I was sitting in the chair, she sat in front of me for a good 15 min as I watched her in silence order her food. It was understood that I wanted to be an ashy blonde for my full balayage. After going through the process, it had been about 3 hours or so. She asked me what I thought and she pointed out herself that a spot on the left side of my head was much more "brassy" than the rest of my head. She offered to have me come back in so that way she could fix it. However, when you spend that much time at a salon and $200+ dollars. You expect it to be done right the first time. Also, this made me hesitant to let her try again. Not to mention it looked more like I received a partial balayage when I paid for a full. When I was leaving I let her curl my hair which now I realize was a mistake because I wasn't able to notice this spot in my bangs. I am honestly disgusted with this place. I was supposed to have a hair appointment today at 4:30 with an amazing stylist that no longer works there...I literally found out in the last couple of hours. The ONLY reason I knew this was because I messaged the stylist to let her know that I was coming in to see her today. She told me she's not there anymore. So I called The Hair Parlour and asked them about it. She told me that since that stylist had left, they weren't able to see her appointments, which I call BS on because I just got a reminder on my phone about the appointment. I'm glad I messaged my stylist because she told me that this happened to two other clients of hers. I was going to be traveling almost an hour to see her. Now, I'll be traveling an hour to see her at her new place. TO THE OWNER: If you say your system doesn't allow you to see her clients, why didn't you have the decency to look at her appointments before she left???? I would have driven over 40 miles and my name was nowhere on your schedule. AND I got a reminder a few minutes ago. It seems like you are wanting this to look bad on her part, but it makes your salon look unprofessional and shady. Book with Kylie Riley for hair color and correction!!! I came in w/ an AWFUL bleached dye job that was professionally done at another salon. No exaggeration. There were missed spots everywhere with about 50 shades of blonde going on. Ha. It was so bad that I couldn't wear my hair down for weeks. So after my free consultation w/ The Hair Parlour, I went in to my appointment w/ realistic expectations - I knew that fixing my hair would be quite the challenge, but I also knew anything she'd do would be significantly better than what I had. Kylie went above and beyond to demonstrate great care and concern for my hair. She consulted and asked for my input, which I always appreciate. She explained what the process would look like and was always great at answering any questions I had throughout the appointment. She was also kind enough to cancel her next appointment, too, because she knew she'd need more time to finish correcting my hair! The end result was FANTASTIC. She managed to take most of the brassiness out and give me the ash tone I was going for, meaning my hair color is now even and looks normal. I no longer have to hide it in shame!! She gave me beautiful shadow roots for lower maintenance and gave me aftercare tips as well.
