Bam!Bun! Not sure if this is really the name of the business, but it sure sounds great!! We found them at the Monday Farmers Market at Welk Resort, and I am so glad that we did!! They sell Sliders, Bao Buns, and the Bam! Box! You can fill each item with different fillings. Wifey and I shared Bao Buns which was 2 for $10. One bun was filled with Pork Bulgogi while the other was filled with Chicken Adobo. The bao buns are steamed and are like soft fluffy pillows of goodness. Jun, the owner, packs each bao bun with cabbage, fried garlic, pickled veggies, green onions, and your choice of filling. Make sure to add his homemade spicy mayo to your bao!!The Chicken Adobo is shredded, and it tastes very good combined with all the veggies inside that delicious fluffy pillow of yummyness!! As good as the Chicken Adobo filling was, I liked the Pork Bulgogi even more!! Highly recommend!! Service was fantastic! He explained everything , and he even let us sample the Jackfruit Bbq filling. That jackfruit bbq filling was quite unique, but I prefer meat. If you come across this vendor at a Farmers Market, brewery, or some place else in North San Diego County.....do yourself a favor and give them a try!! You will not regret it.

On my way out of SoCal Batting Center, I saw Bam! Bun! And I stopped by. Jun the owner was incredibly kind and friendly! Sampled the Japanese curry and wound up buying a mini plate and some lumpia! Great food, great people! Thank you Jun!

(I forgot to take a photo of my Bam Bun so this is from their FB page. I had the one on the right and it really was that pretty.)

Every time we've come here (which I would say has been more than 10 times) the service is great! All the employees are always kind and friendly. To start we like to order a set of Cajun fries and recently the sha-bang shrimp has been our favorite! We order a lb of frozen craw fish, mild, sausage and corn, and the whole sha-bang flavor. Make sure to ask for butter to dip your crawfish in. I like to marinate mine. I'll squeeze lemons in my salt and pepper cup, dip my crawfish in the lemon mix, butter, and marinate it in my bag with the sauce. I've also tried the micheladas here and they are pretty good too! The restaurant is usually lively, whoever is on aux is always playing good music, and they have sports games on the TVs. Love love coming here!

I understand these guys are a chain which makes the amazing eats that much more surprising. dumplings: have had the FRIED PORK BUNS, the SHRIMP and PORK SHUMAI, and the PORK SOUP DUMPLINGS. all were amazing. the SHUMAI were the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot) and ordered them on two of our three visits. dipped everything in Sichuan red chili oil, light soy, and black vinegar mixed at the table from the condiment set-up. the twenty-year boy (man, they grow up fast, don't they?) had the HALF BBQ DUCK was another outstanding dish. moist and flavorful, not the almost duck jerky served at most places. the Sichuan-style HOT BOILED FISH is one of my favorites and I nearly always get it when it shows up on a menu. theirs is a bright, spicy, and well executed. my favorite dish was the EGGPLANT in Sichuan sauce with ground pork. anyway, pretty sure I'm going to be a regular. it's nice not having to drive three-quarters of the way to San Diego when I'm feeling more like Chinese food than Chinese-ish American food.

Still crazy after all these years!…read more I remember waaaayyyy back in the day when old-time footed porcelain bathtubs were cut out, padded and used for seating. I remember it being at the first OSF I ate at during a visit to San Rafael, San Francisco. I haven't seen an Old Spaghetti Factory anywhere since then. I must not be living right. Ha. The food is delicious. And plentiful. And fresh. A tad pricey for dining here often, but average-priced for obtaining good food at the present time. Considering the prices, we (2 people) shared a main course, which comes with minestrone soup or salad, a loaf of warm sourdough bread, and choice of vanilla ice cream or spumoni. We also added a dessert to split. We both felt fat and sassy after that meal. The Breast of Chicken Fettuccine ($28.50) featured tender and juicy chopped chicken breast, roasted mushrooms and broccoli florets, served over noodles smothered in a creamy Italian-forward Alfredo sauce. The minestrone soup with dipping bread slapped! To top it off for dessert, we tried the quasi after dinner cup of coffee-soaked ladyfingers dessert called Tiramisu ($10.60) , an authentic Italian dessert. Even though we split it, I know we both could've finished the whole dessert ourselves. :) There are so so many great-sounding dishes on this menu, so we surely will be returning for other meals, because this meal simply was divine.

Waited 20 inside the restaurant and 35 total and finally manager comes with it. He did apologize, even helped me to the car since it was a big order. Straight home and we tried the food and yikes, not the worse pasta, the worst made us ill. This place at least hasn't made us ill. So there's that. It was either flavorless or sour. A couple dishes had a flavorless oily gritty taste and one was sour. The bread use to be delicious but not now, it was so bad the kids didnt like it. The ice cream which has always been delicious was freezer burnt tasting. What happened? I mean the pasta has always been quite bland which is sad. But the bread and ice cream was always delicious and I'd let the kids have the pasta and I'd enjoy the bread salad and ice cream. The soup has always been bad. Even my husband doesn't like their soup. Bland bland. So sad, this place has a nice location and beautiful restaurant but horrible service apart from the manager being kind enough to help me with the bags. The hostess forgets you if you are even acknowledged in the first place. The man that can didnt even greet anyone. Just talked to her and they laughed then off they went. Ppl waiting, no acknowledgement. Such a waste of a great venue. I hope one day it gets better or closes and a better restaurant replaces it.
