Worst communication I have ever had with a caterer when trying to setup and lock in a date , 4 times he would set a time for us to chat and 4 times he would not call or respond until much much later and say sorry I will call tomorrow , not only is the completely un professional but very rude , when I was finally able to get a hold of him and address my concern he became very very rude , this is not a way that you do business , especially when you are still in the booking phase, and I all I wanted to do was address the lack of communication and he gets rude with me . In Korean culture, a first birthday party is a big deal. We had Korean food and Japanese food set up, but also wanted to add some western food to the mix. I reached out to Jason at ZA mobile pizzeria, and he was very responsive. He set up a plan for me with six different types of unlimited pizza and a Caesar salad. He came out early to prep his station with his wood fired oven. I'll be honest, I didn't think too much of pizza. I hoped that enough people would eat it because we did have a predominantly Korean guest list of 50 people. Man, oh man, did the pizza not disappoint. It was the perfect dough, chewy yet soft, with just the right amount of ingredients on them. Anytime we were running low on a certain type of pizza, Jason would pop up out of nowhere with more fresh made pizza to replace them. They were an absolute hit with our guests! We had guests leave taking slices of them home, and fascinated by how he was cooking them in our driveway in his mobile oven. People were fighting over the last few slices. Jason was even kind enough to leave a few extra pizzas for us separately since he saw how busy we were running around. This weekend we went to another party catered by ZA and got to try some of the different pizza flavors! ZA is a unique catering experience - Jason uses an actual wood burning oven that he brings on site to make pizza fresh right in front of your eyes! He has really perfected his recipes, from the dough, sauces, and toppings. We think he can hold his own against some of the award winning pizzas we've tried (and oh how we'd love to see him enter some contests ) Some of our faves: Carbonara (perfect runny egg & bacon) Honey Garlic (most popular) Calabrian (fennel sausage & calabrian chilies for a spicy kick) The classics are so good too especially for the kiddos, and Jason can customize things to your liking! Jason catered my baby shower this past weekend and it was the most pleasurable experience. I reached out to him a few months in advance and he was extremely personable and communicative. I was concerned with where he would set up the pizza oven so he came and did a site visit/tour prior which was so helpful! Leading up to the event, he continued to check in with me and see if I had any questions. On day of, he arrived 2 hours in advance to set up, inclusive of an extra wood farm table that we used to put some of our extra side dishes on which was so nice of him to offer! Let me tell you... you do not want to miss using ZA at your next event!!!
