The food is good, but the service is not. I don't think they really have any formal training in customer services. They don't greet you when you walk in, instead of letting you know they are ready to take your order they stand there and look at you. The tables are chronically dirty. I don't think I've ever come in to this place and the tables were actually clean. Not to mention there is not much space for people to eat and the interior is very grungy and contributes to the establishment looking dirty. Customer service is the worst. I placed an order on the phone. They said it will be done 15 minutes . I get there. Walked in to find very friendly staff and a very clean restaurant. I ordered a small acai bowl and I customized it with no banana or strawberries but added pineapple. I was there this morning and had a ham and egg bagel they put jalapeños too! If you haven't been...it's a must try. The place is very, very clean and well kept. Easily one of the worst experiences of my life. The pictures should speak for themselves. I'm pretty sure Stevie Wonder could have made me a better sandwich. Whoever was working the register not only hated me but I think she also must have hated herself too considering how she talks to customers. What a great find. This is a place that some Escondido elite yelpers (not going to name names but we all know who they are) will snub their nose at because of the location and sign... 'Too Gringo". It consisted of Lomo (avocado, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, sauce, onions, tomatoes, and Jalapeno) and Grilled Ham. EPICALLY HUGE AND TASTY I had one half for breakfast, the other for lunch. If there was a thing they could get better at I would say in maybe being more efficient and also the way they pack the tortas. The staff are always friendly and very clearly hardworking. The tortas are packed with meat (or tuna) and taste very freshly made. I've had a few smoothies from here and they have a nice consistency and good flavor. Pico de Gallo is yummy as well as their bionicos. Que Tortas has a variety of food selections, but if you are going to come here, you have to try their tortas. My favorite is the tuna torta with everything on it (avocado, jalapeño, tomato and onion). The torta also has a delicious sauce/spread.
