Great deli with a BIG menu! They have your typical deli menu items (bagels, wraps, sandwiches, etc.), a salad bar, juice bar, grilled cheese menu, and tons more here. They also have prepackaged items and snack packs that's looked super yummy! I used to order here every week. It used to be good. The last three times were god awful. Two co workers and I got mocha coffees this morning, they were basically all milk, I couldn't finish mine. Ontop of that the awful drink got me and one of my colleagues sick, my stomach has been turning for hours and I threw up. I will never be ordering again. I was born in Brooklyn, so I have extremely high standards when it comes to bagels. I moved to this area about 10 months ago and fortunately found this place pretty quickly. Super high quality bagels that remind me of my hometown. They also have a large menu of other breakfast items, wraps and sandwiches. They recently added a Grilled Cheese bar, which has an amazing selection of sandwich options. Today I tried the French Onion Grilled cheese and it was amazing. This place helps solidify that I made the right choice when I decided to move to North Jersey. read more

Finally got to stop in and try Bam today, and was very impressed. We ordered an iced black coffee, French toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and the Cajun style panini. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. They have physical menus and digital menus around the inside. My French toast bagel was phenomenal and it wasn't as messy as others I've had from their powdered sugar it even had a good crunch to it. They put a great portion of strawberry cream cheese not the usual pound so it was perfect. My black iced coffee was great it wasn't burnt and was a strong blend. My boyfriend ordered the Cajun style panini and it was amazing, to the point he was telling me I wouldn't like it because he didn't want to share it at all! Friendly staff helped me navigate their vast variety of choices for breakfast. And it's massive. I ended up with a sesame bagel and cream cheese. The bagel had that nice chew you hope for and the cream cheese serving was very generous and satisfying. Their coffee was piping hot and simply fantastic. Best cup of coffee on the road all year, bar none. I couldn't resist also grabbing a wrap sandwich and massive cookie for lunch. I can't imagine going any place else while in Mahwah. Went there this afternoon and ordered a chicken cutlet LTM on a hero. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was going to eat it there but the place was too hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I got home, I opened it and the chicken meat itself was brown. I was like ok I'll eat it anyone. I couldn't bite through the cutlet. Then I took a bite of back and it had the taste of burnt olive oil. Absolutely gross (see the picture). I threw it out and I am heading to moranos. read more

Not just bagels BAM is awesome. Yes their bagels are great, but they also have a beautiful deli area and a juice bar with a variety of grab and go options. The first time I went it was great. But this time when I ordered a sandwich, waited over 35 minutes, and they haven't even started making the sandwich that would take 5-10 minutes to make. It looked like everyone else wasn't waiting as long. I was so excited to try this sandwich but I wasn't going to wait for something that they never prepared. So I asked for a refund. Then best part was when I asked and got my money back. Waste of time! read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Not only is this my go-to deli for fresh food, but today I was reminded why I'll never go anywhere else. After grabbing my lunch, I came out to find that my car wouldn't start -- turns out the battery had died. As I stood there trying to figure out what to do, the owner, Ray, just happened to be walking by. Without hesitation, he asked if I needed help. I was stunned -- I mean, how often does a business owner stop their day to help a customer with car trouble? Not only did Ray help -- he went above and beyond. He had his son drive me back to work so I wouldn't be late, then spent the afternoon working on getting my car jumped. Once it was up and running again, he drove it back to my workplace and handed me the keys like it was no big deal. It was a HUGE deal to me. I'm beyond grateful, and I'll never forget that act of kindness. Great food and even greater people! read more

This place is AMAZING! It's clean, aesthetically pleasing to the eye and the food choices are endless. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious and prepared with the upmost quality. Some of my favorite dishes are the tuna melt, lox and cream cheese on a bagel, the Caesar salad with a chicken cutlet on top and the mushroom and cheese omelette with caramelized onions. Went this morning (Sunday 8:15) and was disappointed. Simple order-a couple of buttered rolls and a muffin. It took 10 minutes to get the order. It sat on the counter in the bag for a while before they realized it was ready. AND, when we got home, we realized that they gave us the wrong muffin! It gave us the impression that the staff acted like they were stoned. I want businesses to succeed in Mahwah and I wish them luck but this was our last visit. read more

Just one big fuster cluck! Very disorganized, staff not trained well and ridiculously expensive. First time there - Worst bagels ever! They look like someone put an air pump in them. The bagels we got were about 4" tall and had about 1/8" of cream cheese. Second time there - 2 muffins that were pretty good, cost was $4.47, gave the cashier a 5 dollar bill and she proceeded to give me 53 cents in pennies for change, no thanks. Third and final time - wanted to try the muffins again, cost $8.47! What, double the cost in 3 weeks??? I don't think so. Asked to talk to a manager and he didn't have a clue why I was upset. I should have walked out, but needed breakfast for me and my husband. NEVER GOING BACK!!! read more

So happy to have a bagel store open in the neighborhood- and BAM does not disappoint.
