The first time I got food from Spring Street Deli was when we were having a work meeting and were told to pick something off the menu, as they were picking up lunch for us from there. I reviewed the menu, and it looked like there were a good few options, but what stood out to me was the. Turnpike sandwich. Which is prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and roasted Peppers. I really enjoy prosciutto sandwiches, so I decided to get one, and I wasn't disappointed. Since then, I've ordered from here several times for my own meetings, and I've even gone to pick it up in person myself. I've had a friendly experience with the staff, and my orders have always been ready on time. It's a nice little deli, and I will continue to patronize it for my lunch needs. I think the prices are pretty reasonable. $13 for a hero seems more than reasonable to me. If you've gone to Jersey Mike's or Subway, you're getting a far worse value sandwich compared to what you get here. All in all, a worthwhile sandwich shop for locals that should fulfill your lunch needs. read more

Provided me with the wrong bagel, though it's not a surprise considering every time I go there (no matter the time) it seems they have none left as it is which makes me think they don't prepare enough for the day (considering the place isn't that packed so I don't think it's due to booming business) or I ordered a veggie cream cheese on a bagel, and the spread was only huge chunks of peppers, nothing else. Despite them only accepting cash (unless you are ordering online!), the disorganization in ordering during the lunch rush, and having the staff behind the counter occasionally forget about my sandwiches while they were being warmed up, I still enjoy this spot. The young woman behind the register is always super sweet. They have my favorite tuna salad around, and they offer it in their Hoopoe sandwich, with bacon on it! Something I'd never tried before, but is pretty delicious. I've also tried their gobbler sandwich (breaded chicken, pink sauce, and fresh mozzarella) -- yummmmmm, the french onion panini which is huge if you go for a whole sandwich! The salad bar is amazing with tons of fresh, quality options that they toss in front of you. They also have solid smoothie station, it's pricey, but most smoothies are these days. I was out running errands Monday around 2PM and hadn't had lunch yet so I stopped for a quick sandwich. I ordered roast beef and American on a roll with extra mayonnaise. I threw in a bag of Cheese Waffles and a Snapple. The total bill came to $12.50 which is way more than I normally pay for lunch in my regular haunt. So I left and went about the rest of my errands and ate in my vehicle on the way. I was very disappointed find a very stale roll for lunch. This roll was rock hard and crumbled into a million pieces. Amazing food but the organization in this place is chaos and the cash-only nonsense is enough to make me drive by this place and go to panera every time i am out of cash. I'm sure the extra business from credit card customers would make up for the amount they would lose by being forced to report more transaction for taxes. As far as the chaos... all they need to do is put up some ropes around that ice pit in the middle of the floor so that people form a line around it and the madness would be solved. Great deli located on Franklin Turnpike. Whenever I'm in town I work right across the street and find this spot very convenient and very good. I literally walk past the little sandwich place in my building to go here - even if it's for a tuna on rye. Good stuff: wraps, sandwiches, steam table specials, great staff, selection of frozen ravioli, sauce and other frozen items. Not so good stuff: paninis (soggy), lunch lines, cash only. This place has great tuna salad, chicken salad and egg salad. They usually have some pretty good sandwich specials that are tasty combinations of flavors, too. Cash only is a bit of a drag, but lunch shouldn't set you back more than $10 all in with a Snapple and a bag of chips. I tried a salad from the little salad nook they've got in there and recall being satisfied (it was a long time ago). Cops love it, prep school kids love it, locals love it. My boyfriend and I love this place. The staff are always friendly and greeting us when we walk in, and it is very clean and well kept inside. The food never takes long and always taste freshly made. Ordered the Turkey New Moon wrap from the signature wraps menu to go today. When I sat down to eat it, I was disappointed because I somehow ended up with a chicken/quinoa sort of wrap that someone else must've ordered. My boyfriend went back for me, as he initially placed the order. The sweet cashier from earlier remembered him and quickly made the correct wrap fresh. Even though mistakes happen, it's how you handle them that makes it okay or not. I appreciate they fixed the mistake and apologized, in addition to the fact the New Moon wrap is delicious! Great combo if you like Brie cheese as it features a cranberry mayo and apple slices along with turkey and mixed greens. Even though they're relatively pricey ($8.50 for the wrap) it's comparable to a lot of places and it's of much better quality than the others. They are friendly and fast with a small business feel, if you have an appreciation for places like it, you shouldn't mind paying for quality and freshness. Too big to fit into the plastic bowl provided, I asked them to split it into two. The gal behind the counter told me that she would have to charge extra for the extra disposable plastic bowl! Nasty, argumentative, she insisted that, even though she was already making extra money on all my extra toppings, she still had to charge extra for the bowl! Love this place! The service is wonderful - always greeted with a smile and prompt service - even at the height of lunch rush. Choice if pre-made sandwiches/wraps or will make from scratch. They turn the sandwiches quickly. Coming in after 12:45 I've had to have standard wraps made from scratch and still very quick. The panninis are good and filling. The side salads or fruit cups are also very good. Cash only can be a bit of a problem some times but there is an atm right there and it helps to keep the lines moving. Also choice of six soups each day that are wonderful. I'm there at least 2 days a week. Only drawback - Wish they had more space to expand to allow for seating. read more

This place is my go-to when I am craving a really good salad, soup, or smoothie (which is about three lunch times a week). My co-worker and I are always amazed at how they manage to consistently have the BEST ingredients that always taste fresh - specifically the avocados, hard-boiled eggs, and chicken. The portion is great for the price, and I like how they have an assigned price per ingredient serving rather than weighing the entire salad and charging per ounce. They have a large selection of toppings that range from veggies, dried fruits, protein, and seeds. The smoothie bar is great as well, however the smoothies aren't cheap (not that many smoothie places are). They have soup in the winter (corrected - they have soup all year), so this place is perfect for me all year round. There is also a deli but I am so addicted to their salads that I usually don't make it to the deli. The service is very friendly and quick! Unless it is super crowded you will get in and out in just a few minutes. The ONLY problem is they don't take cash. Aside from that it is one of my favorite lunch spots in this area! read more
