Have been here 8 or 9 times and have always had a fantastic massage. They also always seem to be available when I want to come in. While this is amazing for someone like me who likes to get spontaneous massages, I worry this may not be a good sign for their business sustainability. So I'm trying to spread the word that this place is a real gem, in reluctant hopes that it will become harder to book an appointment as they become busier with more (very well-deserved) clients. One thing to note, because it may be a new experience for some - they will charge you at the when you arrive, before the massage. I usually just pre-tip generously on my credit card, knowing that my massage is going to be fabulous, but if that's uncomfortable for you, you might consider bringing some cash so you can tip your therapist afterwards. Another suggestion- if you get the oil massage and don't love it, try to give them a 2nd chance. In my experience where their massage therapists really excel is with the reflexology and "combination" massage- basically the full body massage done with clothes on in the communal room. My therapist just felt much more skillful at this than the oil massage, so even if that's not typically your thing - it may be worth a try. I should also mention that the place feels very clean and that the friendly staff are great with Covid safety protocol- a big plus these days, especially in receiving a service with so much close contact. read more

TLDR: Beware of forced tipping policy. I have been frequenting this place for a few years now. However, yesterday was my last visit and I will not be returning. The massage was very painful. I repeatedly asked the masseuse for lighter touch, however he continued to use the same force. He also had very long nails and I could feel his nails scraping on my skin. The combo feet massage is $45. When we checked out, I put down $8 which would be 20%. The owner took out a laminated paper stating if the service was dissatisfactory, please tip $10, and if service was satisfactory, please tip $20( which is almost 50%!!). The owner then went on to explain that this is mandatory and strong armed me into this outrageous tipping policy. I left feeling really uncomfortable. read more

Came here on Valentine's day with my boyfriend and we got the Hot Stone Massage combo and we loved it! It came with a 60 min full body massage and 30 min Reflexology (foot massage) very clean and quiet inside, dim lighting, and cute bamboo decor. Staff is very sweet and very accommodating. My boyfriend had a masseuse him and I had a masseur. My boyfriend is very muscular and he asked for the highest intensity and the woman did such a great job! I was very surprised because she was a small woman but my boyfriend said she was very strong! He fell asleep and was snoring halfway through the massage so that's when you know the massage was good lol! I asked for a medium intensity and the masseur did a wonderful job! He put just the right amount of pressure for me. He got all the knots from my upper left back and I felt so much better afterwards. Very relaxing! After our massages they gave us a water bottle each! This place is in a mini plaza right by the freeway and there is a parking lot but it was super busy when we were there. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday? Came to this place a bit on a whim. Yesterday, we did a full day at Disneyland with my daughter (well, as full as you can do with a young toddler) and I was SO sore this morning, especially on my feet and legs. I knew I needed SOMETHING to relax after a very stimulating and tiring day, and it'd be even better if it worked out some of the soreness. So, I went for a walk-in at 10:30am while the kiddo was napping for 40 minute reflexology. The hostess was super, super friendly and the facility smells nice when you walk in. The ambiance is super relaxing and it is very quiet. The massage was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better massage after yesterday, and it was my first massage in over a year! 40 min reflexology consisted of 20 mins feet and 20 mins hand, shoulder, neck, and back. The dude was super strong, really getting at all my knots and tight areas! I We both wore masks the whole time. The facility was empty except me, and everything was clean and well kept. Hi everyone, so I've been coming here for a while never experienced nothing wrong , usually tip $10 dollars. Today I did not tip the usual amount that I normal do for personal reasons. I came to receive a service for relaxation but Instead i felt really uncomfortable when checking out , I was basically told my tip wasn't sufficient enough. The massages are pricey but I never had an issue with that, extra charge for CC use etc , the owner ( woman) took out a laminated paper telling me $20 to $10 dollars are satisfied services tips, if you are expecting every client to tip a certain amount promoted that somewhere in your business, I don't think it's a pleasant experience to ask for a larger tip regardless if the service was great or not. My review is long overdue. My husband and I have been going to Bamboo for about 2 years now. I always call ahead to make an appointment and Mike is my to go to Masseuse. He has the softest hands and knows how to massage right. I've been to other places where they just poke you and massage you like they don't know all the spots to cover. Anyway, I have no issues with bamboo. They are clean, it's never loud in there, I like how they have a clipboard with a paper where you sign in and write down what kind of massage, how long and most Important the pressure you want. I go to a lot of different spas, and this one was one of the best so far. I'm not sure if it's because it's my first time, and they give me the best masseuse they have, but she was amazing. She was well taught, and knowledgeable about how to soften and manipulate muscles. I have lower back issues, and she spent extra time, working on that area. The spa is clean, and comfortable. The beds are long enough, and the holes for the face are have a good shape and cushion. I am 6 feet tall, so that makes a huge difference for my comfort. I plan to go back again, and hopefully will get the same, excellent service. read more

I have been to many massages places in SGV hoping to find a place that gives great massages consistently, is clean, and provides a quiet and relaxing environment. I found all of the above at Bamboo Creek. I love to come here and my masseuse is Mike. He definitely knows how to give a great massage. I can tell right away he knows what he is doing. I tell him where my troubled areas are and he really knows how to use different techniques to take care of those spots while not forgetting to massage the rest of my body. Some of the other places I have gone to before, it doesn't matter what you tell them, they do the same technique on you. With Mike, he really does listen and does different techniques to take care of my troubled spots. Each time I go is better because he's gotten to know my body and trouble spots better. I kind of surprised them by walking in and requesting a pregnancy massage (not expecting much), and they were so accommodating! I got the 90 minute body and feet hot oil massage. The woman did the back massage while I was laying on my side and it was amazing. The whole massage was one of the best I've had in Pasadena (I've been to most of the affordable spots). The first time in my life I had a bad experience when I was massaging here today whereas surprisingly i saw they have good reviews so thats why i tried it. At the end, they forced me to tip them the full 20% whether I liked the massage or not. At first, she did not ask me whether I wanted the guy massager or a woman which is a BASIC QUESTION to ask. Not all women want random men to touch their body and be their massagers. I was already surprised at that time. The second problem is that when she was massaging me, she left me two times to pick up the phone! Moreover, she was talking to her partner throughout the massage time‍ I was speechless on how she has a service job but doesn't know how to do a good service for her customer :). This place I visited because of the reviews I read, but the service is not the greatest. The masseuse are great and very sweet, but the lady upfront is rude. I asked for the $39 massage and for some reason she assumed I wanted a whole body massage. When I was getting charged, I was asked for $75, I asked her why so much if I got the foot massage... she blamed me or stated it was a miscommunication on both but I know what I asked for. She return $10 back and asked for $10 for tip for her staff. I don't mind the tip, but I do mind everything else... to top it off she said not to talk to her staff or ask them questions because they don't know... honestly very awkward situation I was in specially talking about her staff that way and honestly felt like the workers are being treated so poorly. I don't have other negative reviews about this place. My only complaint is that they charge you $2 for using a credit card and they also have a notice saying they are charging extra to help keep things sanitized.
