I think mainly because I switched my massage treatment to shiatsu from combo and it either wasn't communicated or noted because I didn't want them to use forearm or elbows. She was definitely using forearm. I didn't even smell any of the essential oils they said they would use. I was also a little bothered by them leaving the door cracked. It is a very cute and calming place. It was clean. The bathroom was clean. I was referred by my doctors office for the pain I was having to this massage place. Honestly 100/10. I had a massage by AMY. They suggested I do a Japanese Shiastu which is mostly hand, and finger points to help with the release of my shoulder and neck pain. I had low expectations because I wasn't feeling good but this massage was easily the best one I ever had. She really took her time and did a true full body massage. There's plenty of street parking. I was excited to discover this massage place that advertises shiatsu massage. I called to make an appointment. The person on the phone was professional and she scheduled me for a shiatsu massage at my preferred date and time. I reviewed the website before arriving and read that parking was available in the lot behind the building, and a few specifically numbered spots were designated for its patrons. I arrived to the lot only to discover some jerk in one of the designated spots parked over the line, making the already small space impossible to park in. I drove off the lot and eventually found street parking. No big deal. When I entered the store, I was greeted by the reception woman who showed me to my room. She confirmed the service and instructed me to remove my clothes, but to keep my underwear on. The massage therapist entered and began a 90 min massage. She was professional and the massage was fine, but it was not shiatsu. Unlike short finger strokes on pressure points that I would expect a shiatsu massage to be, the therapist had long strokes akin to those when giving Swedish massages. The pressure good and she was professional, but the service was not a shiatsu massage. After I changed and opened the door to the room, the therapist was there and I tipped her with cash. She said, in Mandarin Chinese, to the reception woman that I tipped in cash. I made my payment and left in time to move my car from the two hour parking spot. Overall, the massage itself was not terrible and I appreciated the efforts to massage my glutes when most therapists would avoid the area. I did not get a foot or a palm massage, which I thought would be standard, even if for a minute or two. She gave me a 30 second scalp massage and a 30 second upper face massage, but did not touch the lower half of my face, my chin, or my collar/decollete area. Overall, the experience was ok, but I don't think I will return. read more

I took my bestie here and we both got under the sheets of our respective tables. The room maintained its temperature effortlessly. We each chose our massage oils and had the tuina combo massage. My massage therapist was very communicative and checked in with me about the pressure. I know I was stiff and have a hard time letting loose, since I haven't had a massage in a long time. Overall, 60 minutes flew by and she just figured out where I was mostly knotted and stiff. She focused on those areas and did everything from scalp to my toes. For a price of $175 (before tip) for 2 people for 60 minutes, it's a steal. Yes she got on the table to maneuver me for extra stretching and hit the bigger muscles on my back, so kudos to her for working that hard. I will return for quarterly maintenance. I hope they keep it up, because it's hard to find a good massage place with a nice ambiance that's reasonably priced. This is not the typical day spa where you get to lounge around after your service. There are no amenities to do so, and that's okay given the prices for the massages. read more
