Food is good and service is great! Stumbled upon this place by accident and I'm glad I did.

I enjoy this place! For me- it hits the nostalgia buttons. From the horse mural, to the items served, to the fortune cookies- it's all exactly like I remember it as a kid. I was always so happy when we visited this style of restaurant. I grew up in another state so when this place opened up I was ecstatic! I miss the red placemats! But so much remained the same. The food is good- better when it's fresh of course- and they do a decent job of cleaning up and keeping the buffet full. There are meh items and absolutely delish items- open to interpretation of course. Today the wontons and deserts were not tasting fresh to me, but the stuffed mussels are ALWAYS good - my fav. This is a very nice Chinese/Japanese buffet style restaurant. It is tucked in behind some other shopping areas and may be hard to locate, but it is worth the effort. Large selection of food choices that includes traditional Chinese fair and good sushi. The staff is very attentive. Nice set up inside so you are not sitting right on top of the table next to your. I've been back to this spot several times since my last review, and have grown rather fond of a number of items on the large buffet. I have in fact become a fan due to the number of quality items I have tried, the good service (both from those working the line and those working the tabes), the overall cleanliness of the entire restaurant, and the pricing, which I feel provides good value. I have added several items to my growing list of dishes I like. My favorites remain: vegetable fried rice, vegetable Lo mein, and black pepper chicken. I have added Jalapeño chicken, Mongolian beef, roast chicken, and especially the hot and sour soup. I have also sampled the smoked sausage and the fried tilapia, in small amounts. This is a great buffet! In/Out in record time! Food is fresh! Everything is very clean! The staff is VERY kind & attentive! We have been here a few times in the last few months. Every time it has been predictably nice! The selection of dishes will please everyone in your group! I love sushi! He loves wings and the hibachi grill. We brought a friend and he loved the bbq ribs. Since the last time we were here it seems some corners were cut. The food quality is more mediocre. The sushi variety is very redundant and tasted oily somehow? Annoyingly, they told me at the door that soda was included and then there was $3 on my bill for a Diet Pepsi I wouldn't have otherwise gotten. They also cut the kids price age from 12 to 10 so my 12 year old was adult price. The server also brought us the check when we had only barely begun to eat which was irritating. And sorry this sounds SO negative, but I really hate when restaurants force the Christian propaganda radio station onto customers. Why is that the music choice at the Chinese buffet, can't we just have some nice instrumental music that fits the theme? This was a swing and a miss, yep we were fed but we won't be back. read more

My child loves a Chinese buffet and we have been meaning to try bamboo garden for a while. The restaurant is very spacious and bright, which can be the opposite at some buffets. All of the staff we encountered were super friendly and did a great job taking away dirty plates and refilling our drinks. Overall, the food was delicious. There were a few misses, but overall everything was flavorful and fresh. I like the make your own hibachi area. You could also make your own noodle soup so next time I will try it. They had a decent selection of freshly made sushi. The different Chinese dishes were good as well. I liked how clearly everything was labeled. We will definitely be back. read more

Lots of room for improvement but when you take into account how new this place is, other AYCE options nearby, and the lackluster Asian food here, I think this place earns four stars with room to grow! Things I liked/loved: - Service was great! Friendly staff always around to clear plates, provide refills, bring checks, etc. Really appreciate that they weren't hovering or hawk-eyeing me either like at other places! - Cleanliness! I feel like the life of a buffet-restaurant can be determined by its cleanliness - clean tables, floors, bar areas. I hope it can stay this way! - Plenty of options! $15.99 elsewhere will get you one dish - here it lets you try a bite of everything! - Sushi chefs will make you a roll/plate if you request it! - Ice cream and dessert bar available! - Fried foods were great and didn't taste like they were straight out of a costco bag Things to improve: - The food itself was pretty hit or miss, which is typical for a buffet. Overall, I found most of the dishes I tried were majorly underseasoned - they need to hit these dishes with some soy and MSG on their way out! Specifically the fried rice, noodles, and mei fun! All of these were also oddly dry so maybe I caught them on a rough day. - Fried salt n pepper shrimp (I know I know I'm being picky) was cold and dry - maybe they can prepare smaller batches at a time so they're not sitting out Overall, this place has major potential if it can keep up the quality and especially keep it at this price range. Although the buffet at this Asian establishment is jam-packed with a variety of tasty food choices, it's the lack of good service and high cost of the buffet that makes this place fall short of being an eatery one would want to frequent. This place has high ratings for no reason. I went with high expectations because of that. I went at a time where it should be peak lunch for most places but there were barely any people. The food is below average type Chinese food nothing was "wow" for me to come back. You know a Chinese restaurant is good if they have a pho station but I was wrong. The broth was just hot water with your fixings. Even pouring soy sauce didn't make the taste any better. The place also is not that sanitary which makes you lose your appetite quick! read more

I've been here a few times since they opened and had a good experience each time. One reason everyone goes fo a buffet is for variety, and boy does this place have it. Not only do they have the regular Chinese buffet selections, but they also have a fresh sushi station, hibachi station, and ramen station. I've tried all except the ramen and was pleasantly surprised with how good they were. Inside is clean with plenty of seating and the service was great, very attentive. Ate here last year when in town from the Charlotte area for a work conference and craving a Chinese buffet. It was pretty decent and they had a good selection, so we were surprised that they were not more busy- especially since Chinese buffets seem to be sparse in this area. Just had the same conference this year/week, so we ate there again and will now sadly not be returning. Food tasted like it had been sitting out a long time- a lot of it looked like it too. Rice had that bit of crunch to it that you get when reheating leftovers. Fried dumplings tasted old and dry. Congealed sauce on chicken and broccoli. Dessert cakes were dry/crusted around the edges. Crab Rangoon was actually very good but that was the highlight. There was almost no one there so that explains food sitting out for long periods on the buffet, but we still won't be back. $17 per person for food that was hours old and dried out is not a good look. Also this might not bother some people but they mopped the floors right up against our table and the section as we ate dinner - made it awkward to walk back and forth to the buffet... not sure why they couldn't wait until we left to do that closing task, especially since they weren't closing for another hour and a half. read more

We gave this place a try last Friday. The had plenty of variety to choose from but the sushi section was disappointing because there were no nigiri or sashimi, mostly California roll types. The ramen soup bar was not good either because it was not true ramen- just soup and rice noodles. They did not have a salad bar. The positive part was that the place was clean. $16.99 for dinner is a bit high but that was expected due to all places raising prices because of the high prices in the entire supply chain. The food on the buffet line was your typical Americanized Chinese dishes and there were not any true authentic Chinese dishes.
